El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO) exhibits a distinctive phase-locking characteristic, first expressed during its onset in boreal spring, developing during summer and autumn, reaching its peak towards winter, and decaying over the next spring. Several studies have demonstrated that this feature arises as a result of seasonal variation in the growth rate of ENSO as expressed by the sea surface temperature(SST). The bias towards simulating the phase locking of ENSO by many state-of-the-art climate models is also attributed to the unrealistic depiction of the growth rate. In this study, the seasonal variation of SST growth rate in the Ni?o-3.4 region(5°S–5°N, 12.°–170°W) is estimated in detail based on the mixed layer heat budget equation and recharge oscillator model during 1981–2.2.. It is suggested that the consideration of a variable mixed layer depth is essential to its diagnostic process. The estimated growth rate has a remarkable seasonal cycle with minimum rates occurring in spring and maximum rates evident in autumn. More specifically, the growth rate derived from the meridional advection(surface heat flux) is positive(negative) throughout the year. Vertical diffusion generally makes a negative contribution to the evolution of growth rate and the magnitude of vertical entrainment represents the smallest contributor. Analysis indicates that the zonal advective feedback is regulated by the meridional immigration of the intertropical convergence zone, which approaches its southernmost extent in February and progresses to its northernmost location in September, and dominates the seasonal variation of the SST growth rate.

A nonsymmetrical PNN pincer ligand[6-(^(t)Bu_(2.PNH)C_(5)H_(4)N-2.(3-Mes)C_(3)H_(2.N_(2.]and its corresponding cobalt-N_(2.complex were synthesized and *** the stoichiometric reaction of the PNN ligand lithium salt with CoCl_(2.,the complex 3,(PNN)CoCl,was ***,reduction of 3 with NaBHEt3under a dinitrogen atmosphere yielded complex 5,(PNN)Co(Ⅰ)(η^(1)-N_(2.).Single-crystal X-ray analysis,IR spectrum,and DFT calculations revealed that the dinitrogen in 5 was only weakly reduced by the cobalt *** reactions of 5 with carbon monoxide and 2.6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide gave carbonyl and isocyanide complexes 6 and 7 with the release of N_(2.,***,these cobalt complexes,especially complex 5,demonstrated the capacity to convert dinitrogen to N(TMS)_(3)with moderate efficiency.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is known as one of the most malignant tumors with high recurrence and fatality *** poor tumor-targeting ability of traditional chemotherapeutic drugs has been a grand challenge for anti-OSCC *** that,a large quantity of tumor associated macrophages in OSCC tissues further diminish the anti-tumor effects of these ***,we produced a therapeutic nano drug delivery system(FA-PEG-PLA-JQ1)through encapsulating JQ1[a small-molecule inhibitor of bromodomain containing protein 4(BRD4)]into the folic acid(FA)-modified nanoparticle(PEG-PLA),which could prolong the half-life of JQ1 and target the tumor *** then,JQ1 released from this nanoparticle could prevent OSCC growth inducing tumor cell apoptosis,inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and the polarization of M2.type *** conclusion,our date demonstrated the therapeutic benefits of FA-PEG-PLA-JQ1 against OSCC in vivo or in vitro,which could be a novel treatment strategy for OSCC in coming days.

The biosynthesis of isoprene offers a more sustainable alternative to fossil fuel-based approaches,yet its success has been largely limited to pure organic compounds and the cost remains a *** study proposes a waste-to-wealth strategy for isoprene biosynthesis utilizing genetically engineered *** bacteria to convert organic waste from real food *** impact of organic compounds present in wastewater on *** growth and isoprene production was systematically *** results demonstrated that with filtration pretreatment of wastewater,isoprene yield,and production achieved 115 mg/g COD and 7.1 mg/(L·h),***,even without pretreatment,isoprene yield only decreased by~2.%,indicating promising ***,maltose,glycerol,and lactate are effective substrates for isoprene biosynthesis,whereas starch,protein,and acetate do not support *** *** optimum C/N ratio for isoprene production was found to be 8:***,augmenting essential nutrients in wastewater elevated the isoprene yield increased to 159 mg/g *** wastewater biosynthesis significantly reduced the cost(44%–53%decrease,p-value2.emission(46%–55%decrease,p-value<0.01)compared with both sugar fermentation and fossil fuel–based *** study introduced a more sustainable and economically viable approach to isoprene synthesis,offering an avenue for resource recovery from wastewater.

To the Editor:Parathyroid tumors are endocrine tumors that can lead to disorders of calcium and phosphorus metabolism and involve multiple organ *** the past,the genetics of parathyroid tumors have been well established,and the significant roles of genes such as MEN1,CDC73,and CCND1 in the process of parathyroid tumorigenesis have been identified and confirmed[Table 1].However,with further research and the widespread use of sequencing technology,“new”roles for“old”genes and new pathogenic mechanisms have been discovered.
