Parallel Construction Heuristic Combined with Constraint Propagation for the Car Sequencing Problem

For the car sequencing（CS） problem, the draw-backs of the ＂sliding windows＂ technique used in the objective function have not been rectified, and no high quality initial solution has been acquired to accelerate the improvement of the solution quality. Firstly, the objective function is improved to solve the double and bias counting of violations broadly discussed. Then, a new method combining heuristic with constraint propagation is proposed which constructs initial solutions under a parallel framework. Based on constraint propagation, three filtering rules are designed to intersecting with three greedy functions, so the variable domain is narrowed in the process of the construction. The parallel framework is served to show its robustness in terms of the quality of the solution since it greatly increases the performance of obtaining the best solution. In the computational experiments, 109 instances of 3 sets from the CSPLib＇ s benchmarks are used to test the performance of the proposed method. Experiment results show that the proposed method outperforms others in acquiring the best-known results for 85 best-known results of 109 are obtained with only one construction. The proposed research provides an avenue to remedy the deficiencies of ＂sliding windows＂ technique and construct high quality initial solutions.

Productivity Analysis for Banks' Merger and Acquisition Using Two-Stage DEA: Evidence from China

Mergers and acquisitions(M&A) are important parts of banking reform, which can increase the synergies and reduce the costs of the banks. To analyze the effect and importance of the M&A in the reform period, we measure the productivity change of China’s banks who completed M&A during 2004–2018, by using a two-stage data envelopment analysis(DEA) method. First, we incorporate the process of deposits producing and the process of profit earning as a two-stage structure of bank’s system. Then,we construct a slacks-based measure(SBM) model considering the weak disposability of undesirable outputs to measure the productivity of 14 M&A banks in China. Particularly, we adopt the global Malmquist index(GMI) to evaluate the productivity change of the banks, and analyze the efficiency change(EC) and technical change(TC) for the whole system and individual stages. Additionally, to facilitate making M&A plans, we classify the M&A banks to obtain the process they need to improve and the trend they could adopted:(i) We classify them into four categories by the productivity of two individual stages;(ii) We also classify them into four categories by EC and TC. Finally, the policy recommendations for M&A banks are given.

Performance Evaluation with Improved Receiver Design for Asynchronous Coordinated Multipoint Transmissions

Joint transmission is one of the ma jor transmission schemes in Coordinated multipoint(Co MP)transmission/reception systems for Long term evolutionadvanced(LTE-A). Due to different distances between User equipments(UE) and Base stations(BS), signals are not able to arrive at the receiver with perfect synchronization, which implies that the reception at UE is asynchronous. This paper presents an evaluation on asynchronous UE reception in multi-cell downlink joint transmission systems using our LTE-based Co MP simulator.Then, due to asynchronous reception, we propose an improved reception strategy to mitigate the interference which compensate for Rx timing difference on Joint transmission(JT) Co MP systems. Simulation results show that the per-subband global precoding scheme widely used in the Co MP system is considerably sensitive to asynchronous reception since the performance is dominated by the subcarrier used for precoding vector calculation. It is verified that our proposed solution is able to achieve significant improvements under asynchronous reception.

Metal oxide and carbide strengthening molybdenum(Mo)alloys have been designed as promising ad-vanced materials in refractory metals to solve some of the core engineering problems in superalloy ap-plications.Hence,there is a need to summarize the results obtained and evaluate the opportunities for preparing high-performance Mo alloys by strengthening metal oxides and carbides to improve the per-formance characteristics of Mo metal materials.This paper reviews the results of the reported work con-cerning the structure and properties of Mo alloys with different metal oxide and carbide strengthening methods added to Mo matrix.The influence of the doping of La 2 O 3 and Y 2 O 3 particles,ceramic Al 2 O 3 and ZrO 2 particles,and refractory TiC and ZrC carbides particles of Mo alloys are discussed.The impacts of particle morphology,size,distribution and volume fractions of oxide and carbide are analyzed,as well as the specific features of different doping techniques for obtaining high-performance Mo alloys mate-rials.This work will guide future research on the design of high-performance refractory Mo alloys by adding oxides and carbide particles,helping to solve the core issues in the field of superalloy application research.

Obesity has become a serious public health problem globally.China has the world’s largest number of people with obesity or overweight.More than 50%of adults and about 20%of children and adolescents in China are overweight or obese.Over the past 20 years,China has made many efforts in obesity intervention,while obesity rates continued rising.In recent years,China has taken more actions for obesity prevention.The World Obesity Day(WOD)was established in 2015 by the World Obesity Federation,and is a unified day of action calling for a cohesive,cross-sector response to fight obesity.WOD has drawn increasing attention in recent years.China formally joined the WOD activities this year,promoted by The Obesity Prevention and Control Section of Chinese Nutrition Society,which cooperated closely with other organizations in carrying out a series of activities during the 2022 WOD.These efforts aimed to encourage the whole society to pay attention to the obesity problem and take more practical actions.The activities include:(1)The 2022“World Obesity Day”China Summit;(2)a specifically developed WOD obesity prevention education video;and(3)the launch of The Expert Consensus on Obesity Prevention and Treatment in China.These can serve as examples for other organizations and countries to consider in future intervention efforts.To fight the global obesity epidemic,all counties and people need to act.Countries can learn from each other’s successful practices.

Postmarketing safety evaluation: depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae)

OBJECTIVE: To systematically examine the postmarketing safety of depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae),identifythe potential risk factors, and ensure its clinical safety.METHODS: We examined a comprehensive series of studies on the production process, quality standards, pharmacology, population pharmacokinetics, and safety evaluation of depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae). Data from Ⅰ-Ⅳ clinical drug trials, hospital information systems(HIS), and spontaneous reporting systems(SRS) were also analyzed.RESULTS: The effective components of salvianolic acid salt content reached almost 100%, and the magnesium lithospermate B content reached morethan 80%. The median lethal dose(LD50) calculated by the Bliss method was 1.49 g/kg, with 95%confidence intervals of 1.29-1.72 g/kg. Long-term tests on Beagle dogs indicated that doses of less than 80 mg/kg were safe and doses of 320 mg/kg were toxic. Adverse drug reactions(ADRs) included digestive disorders; drug-induced erythrocyte deformation in lung, liver, spleen, kidney, bone marrow, intestinal mucosa, lymph nodes, and other tissues; megakaryocytes in lung, liver, and spleen resulting from mild hemolysis; and mild hyperplasia in bone marrow hematopoietic tissue. Other studies indicated no irritative effect of the injection on local tissues and blood vessels, and no allergic reactions, erythrocyte coagulation, or hemolysis. SRS data showed that the most common ADRs were headache, head distention, dizziness, facial flushing, skin itching, thrombocytopenia, and the reversibility of elevated Aspartate transaminase. HIS data indicated no damage to renal function from using depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae) at a dosage higher than the recommended dose.CONCLUSION: This study analyzes the clinical characteristics of ADRs from depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae),and discusses the factors influencing such reactions.
