Cavity magnomechanics,exhibiting remarkable experimental tunability,rich magnonic nonlinearities,and compatibility with various quantum systems,has witnessed considerable advances in recent ***,the potential benefits of using cavity magnomechanical(CMM)systems in further improving the performance of quantum-enhanced sensing for weak forces remain largely *** we show that,by squeezing the magnons,the performance of a quantum CMM sensor can be significantly enhanced bey.nd the standard quantum limit(SQL).We find that,for comparable parameters,two orders of magnitude enhancement in the force sensitivity can be achieved in comparison with the case without magnon ***,we obtain the optimal parameter regimes of homodyne angle for minimizing the added quantum *** findings provide a promising approach for highly tunable and compatible quantum force sensing using hybrid CMM devices,with potential applications ranging from quantum precision measurements to quantum information processing.

Whole-genome genotyping(WGG)stands as a pivotal element in genomic-assisted plant ***theless,sequencing-based approaches for WGG continue to be costly,primarily owing to the high expenses associated with library preparation and the laborious *** prior development of foreground and background integrated genotyping by sequencing(FBI-seq),we discovered that any sequence-specific primer(SP)inherently possesses the capability to amplify a massive array of stable and reproducible non-specific PCR products across the ***,we further improved FBI-seq by replacing the adapter ligated by Tn5 transposase with an arbitrary degenerate(AD)*** protocol for the enhanced FBI-seq unexpectedly mirrors a simplified thermal asymmetric interlaced(TAIL)-PCR,a technique that is widely used for isolation of flanking ***,the improved TAIL-PCR maximizes the primer-template mismatched annealing capabilities of both SP and AD *** addition,leveraging of next-generation sequencing enhances the ability of this technique to assay tens of thousands of genome-wide loci for any *** cost-effective,user-friendly,and powerful WGG tool,which we have named TAIL-PCR by sequencing(TAIL-peq),holds great potential for widespread application in breeding programs,thereby facilitating genome-assisted crop improvement.

A stable,efficient,and economical bifunctional electrolytic catalyst would be incredibly beneficial for the development of hydrogen production by electrocatalytic water *** this study,we synthesized a novel MnS–MnO heterogeneous nanocube@n,S-doped carbon(MnS–MnO@nSC).MnS–MnO nanocubes possess rich heterogeneous interfaces and plentiful catalytic active sites to promote electrochemical reactions,while the n,S-doped carbon shell possesses excellent conductivity and catalytic properties and protects the ***–MnO@nSC exhibited excellent electrochemical properties as an effective bifunctional electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in KOH *** the HER,the overpotential was as low as 124 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)while in the OER,it was only 340 mV at 100 mA·cm^(-2)under the same *** addition,a MnS–MnO@nSC||MnS–MnO@nSC electrolyzer exhibited almost comparable activity and higher steadiness than those exhibited by the state-of-the-art Pt/C||RuO_(2)/C system for full water splitting in KOH solution.

Due to the non-linearity in ozone(O_(3))formation,reducing the emission of nitrogen oxides(nO_(x))may increase O_(3) *** the counteractive O_(3) response to nO_(x) reduction,overall impact of air pollution controls can be ambiguous when the assessments focus on the changes in pollutant *** this study,a risk-based method was used to gauge the net effect of air pollution controls on mortality risk in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei(BTH)region during the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics(WOP).This mega-event presents a unique opportunity to investigate the efficacy of deep cuts in pollutant *** show that O_(3) concentrations greatly increased as nitrogen dioxide(nO_(2))concentrations decreased in the *** to the active photochemical formations,O_(3) became the dominant pollutant that affected human health during the *** the substantial O_(3) increases,the health benefits of nO_(2) reductions overwhelmed the adverse health effects of O_(3) increases in most regions of the BTH(at 81 out of 112 stations).After considering the impacts of particulate matter,the integrated health risk of air pollution mixtures declined almost everywhere in the *** results underscore the great necessity of changing the assessment paradigm of pollution control from using concentration-based methods to using risk-based *** with the carbon neutrality policy,stringent control of nO_(x)emission from combustion sources is a promising way to achieve synergistic control solutions for air pollution and climate change.

Constructing the low-cost, high-efficiency, and good batch-to-batch reproducibility polymer donor is vitally important for the application of organic solar cells. Herein, we develop a structurally simple carboxylate-substituted thiazole as an electronwithdrawing building block to construct a low-cost polymer, PBTTzE, containing a facilely prepared chlorinated benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b′]dithiophene(BDTCl) donor unit. Benefiting from synergistic electron deficient effects of chlorination and ester group and C=n, as well as the noncovalent interaction of S···O and S···n, PBTTzE exhibits a deep HOMO energy level(-5.59 eV),and a planar skeleton structure. When combined with the IT-4F acceptor, the polymer(54 kDa) demonstrated a champion PCE of15.87%, which is the highest value in the IT-4F-based binary devices to date. Moreover, PBTTzE exhibits excellent batch-tobatch reproducibility due to its very similar PCEs within a range of 43–76 kDa. In addition, an alloyed state and complementary absorption can be formed between PM6 and PBTTzE. Therefore, in a ternary device with PBTTzE added to the PM6:BTP-eC9blend, a top PCE of 18.76% is achieved due to the suppressed energy loss, prolonged exciton diffusion distance, and improved charge transport. Our work demonstrates that the carboxylate-substituted thiazole is a highly promising acceptor unit for constructing low-cost and high-performance polymers.

The neutron-induced total cross sections of natural lead have been measured in a wide energy range(0.3 eV-20 MeV)on the back-streaming white neutron beamline(Back-n)at the China Spallation neutron *** energy was determined by the neutron total cross-section spectrometer using the time-of-flight technique.A fast multi-cell fission chamber was used as the neutron detector,and a 10-mm-thick high-purity.natural lead sample was employed for the neutron transmission *** on-beam background was determined using Co,In,Ag,and Cd *** excitation function of ^(nat)Pb(n,tot)reaction below 20 MeV was calculated using the TALyS-1.96 nuclear-reaction modeling *** present results were compared with previous results,the evaluated data available in the five major evaluated nuclear data libraries(i.e.,EnDF/B-VIII.0,JEFF-3.3,JEnDL-5,CEnDL-3.2,and BROnD-3.1),and the theoretical calculation *** agreement was found between the new results and those of previous experiments and with the theoretical curves in the corresponding *** measurement obtained the neutron total cross section of natural lead with good accuracy over a wide energy range and added experimental data in the resonance energy *** provides more reliable experimental data for nuclear engineering design and nuclear data evaluation of lead.

Mechanical properties and thermal deformation behavior of low-cost titanium matrix composites prepared by a structure-optimized y_(2)O_(3) crucible

A porous yttrium oxide crucible with both thermal shock resistance and erosion resistance was developed by structural *** structure-optimized yttrium oxide crucible was proved to be suitable for melting highly reactive titanium ***-cost(TiB+y2O_(3))-reinforced titanium matrix composites were prepared by vacuum induction melting using the prepared *** thermal deformation behavior and microstructure evolution of(TiB+y2O_(3))-reinforced tita-nium matrix composites were investigated at deformation temperatures of 900-1100℃with strain rates of 0.001-1 *** results showed that the prepared yttrium oxide crucible had both thermal shock and erosion resistance,the low-cost titanium matrix composites could be prepared by the developed yttrium oxide crucibles which were homogeneous in composition and highly sensitive to strain rate and deformation temperature,and the peak and theological stresses decreased with increasing deformation temperature or decreasing strain *** addition,the average thermal deformation activation energy of the composites was calculated to be 574.6 kJ/mol by establishing the Arrhenius constitutive equation in consideration of the strain variables,and the fitting goodness between the predicted stress value and the measured value was 97.624%.The calculated analysis of the hot processing map showed that the best stable thermal deformation zone was located in the deformation temperature range of 1000-1100℃and strain rate range of 0.001-0.01 s^(-1),where the peak dissipation coefficient wasη=71%.In this zone,the deformation of the reinforcement and matrix was harmonious,the reinforcement was less likely to fracture,dynamic recrystallization occurred more fully and the alloy exhibited near steady rheological characteristics.
