The austenite grain growth behavior in a simulated coarse-grained heat-affected zone during thermal cycling was investigated via in situ observation. Austenite grains nucleated at ferrite grain boundaries and then grew in different directions through movement of grain boundaries into the ferrite phase. Subsequently, the adjacent austenite grains impinged against each other during the α→γtransformation. After the α→γ transformation, austenite grains coarsened via the coalescence of small grains and via boundary migration between grains. The growth process of austenite grains was a continuous process during heating, isothermal holding, and cooling in simulated thermal cycling. Abundant finely dispersed nanoscale TiN particles in a steel specimen containing 0.012wt% Ti effectively retarded the grain boundary migration, which resulted in refined austenite grains. When the Ti concentration in the steel was increased, the number of TiN particles de- creased and their size coarsened. The big particles were not effective in pinning the austenite grain boundary movement and resulted in coarse austenite grains.

Growth kinetics of proeutectoid ferrite, including grain boundary face nucleated ferrite, grain boundary edge nucleated ferrite allotriomorph and intragranular ferrite idiomorph, were experimentally measured in an Fe- 0.09C-1.5Mn-0.2Si steel and compared with theoretical calculation in local equilibrium and paraequilibrium modes. Grain boundary edge nucleated ferrite exhibited larger growth rate than grain boundary face nucleated ferrite and in- tragranular ferrite idiomorph. Experimental kinetics of proeutectoid ferrite was within the window defined by the lo- cal equilibrium and paraequilibrium limits. A transition of growth kinetics from paraequilibrium to local equilibrium was observed in the temperature range of 650--750 ℃, which can be explained in terms of solute drag.

Invasive inflammation and excessive scar formation are the main reasons for the difficulty in repairing nervous tissue after spinal cord *** and astrocytes play key roles in the spinal cord injury micro-environment and share a close ***,the mechanisms involved remain *** this study,we found that after spinal cord injury,resting microglia(M0)were polarized into pro-inflammatory phenotypes(MG1 and MG3),while resting astrocytes were polarized into reactive and scar-forming *** expression of growth arrest-specific 6(Gas6)and its receptor Axl were significantly down-regulated in microglia and astrocytes after spinal cord *** vitro experiments showed that Gas6 had negative effects on the polarization of reactive astrocytes and pro-inflammatory microglia,and even inhibited the cross-regulation between *** further demonstrated that Gas6 can inhibit the polarization of reactive astrocytes by suppressing the activation of the Yes-associated protein signaling ***,in turn,inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia by suppressing the activation of the nuclear factor-κB/p65 and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling *** vivo experiments showed that Gas6 inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia and reactive astrocytes in the injured spinal cord,thereby promoting tissue repair and motor function ***,Gas6 may play a role in the treatment of spinal cord *** can inhibit the inflammatory pathway of microglia and polarization of astrocytes,attenuate the interaction between microglia and astrocytes in the inflammatory microenvironment,and thereby alleviate local inflammation and reduce scar formation in the spinal cord.

Based on the study of hydraulic characteristics of the sudden expansion water flow of an annular flume, this paper determines the vertical velocity distribution and the turbulence intensity distribution in the mainstream and the recirculation regions to analyze the basic features of this flow field. The adsorption of the phosphorus in the sediment is studied by adding the bacteriostatic agent. The results show that the flow speed in the mainstream region is higher than that in the recirculation region. However, the turbulence intensity in the recirculation region increases more than that in the mainstream region. The adsorption of the phosphorus in the sediment includes the physisorption and the biosorption, and the former is stronger than the latter. With the biosorption in the phosphorus removal process, the phosphorus released by the sediment is mainly completed by the poly-P bacteria in the anaerobic condition. The adsorption of the phosphorus in the sediment in the mainstream region of a sudden expansion water flow is strong and stable, whereas the adsorption in the sediment in the recirculation region is largely fluctuated.

Variation in on-chip power supply continues to be a major challenge to limit circuit performance. To mitigate the impact of high-frequency voltage droop, a novel all-digital adaptive clock system is proposed. The adaptive clock system is composed of a droop detector and an adaptive clock generator, which directly stretch the clock period when the circuit suffers from the supply voltage droop. The droop detector circuit detects the VDD droop and the digital adaptive clock generator circuit selects the stretched clock to prevent timing-margin failures. The response time for droop detection and clock stretch can be as fast as one cycle. The whole scheme is used on a test circuit under SMIC 40 nm CMOS process with a layout area of 900 um*1100 um. Postlayout simulation results demonstrate power reductions are 7% at 1.1 V and 15% at 0.7 V for a 10% VDD droop,respectively.

Three-dimensional morphology of ferrite allotriomorphs nucleated at grain boundary edges in low carbon steel was revealed by means of serial sectioning in conjunction with computer-aided three-dimensional reconstruction techniques. The typical morphology of them was of an elongated triangular pyramid. The length, width and thickness of ferrite allotriomorphs were measured on the basis of three-dimensional reconstructed images. The aspect ratio （length/width） of them was 4.5 on an average and scattered from 3 to 6. The measured sizes were smaller than calculated ones, which was probably attributed to solute drag-like effect of manganese in the alloy.
