Miscible disordered block copolymers(BCPs)are rarely studied due to the limits in self-assembly into ordered microstructures.Herein,we proposed a facile method for the transformation of disordered miscible BCPs to comb-like BCPs with well-ordered microphase separation structures via blending with amphiphilic surfactants.In this work,poly(4-vinyl pyridine-b-hydroxybutylacrylate)(P4VP-b-P4HBA)was applied as a model of miscible disordered BCPs and the microphase separation was induced via blending with surfactants of dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid(DBSA)and 3-pentadecylphenol(PDP).The ordered microstructures including spherical and cylindrical morphologies were confirmed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS)investigation.These ordered microstructures thermal sensitive,in which ordered and disordered transformation(ODT)was observed in the blend of P4VP-b-P4HBA and PDP whereas it disappeared in the blend of P4VP-b-P4HBA and DBSA.The results show that the thermal stability of the ordered microstructures are strongly depends on the interactions between the miscible BCPs and surfactants,which investigated by in situ SAXS and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR).The combination of miscible BCPs and surfactant creates a feasible strategy to fabricate ordered nanostructures,which could be employed to develop complicated nanomaterials.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the value of transrectal shear-wave elastography(SWE)in combination with multivariable tools for predicting adverse pathological features before radical prostatectomy(RP).Preoperative clinicopathological variables,multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mp-MRI)manifestations,and the maximum elastic value of the prostate(Emax)on SWE were retrospectively collected.The accuracy of SWE for predicting adverse pathological features was evaluated based on postoperative pathology,and parameters with statistical significance were selected.The diagnostic performance of various models,including preoperative clinicopathological variables(model 1),preoperative clinicopathological variables+mp-MRI(model 2),and preoperative clinicopathological variables+mp-MRI+SWE(model 3),was evaluated with area under the receiver operator characteristic curve(AUC)analysis.Emax was significantly higher in prostate cancer with extracapsular extension(ECE)or seminal vesicle invasion(SVI)with both P<0.001.The optimal cutoff Emax values for ECE and SVI were 60.45 kPa and 81.55 kPa,respectively.Inclusion of mp-MRI and SWE improved discrimination by clinical models for ECE(model 2 vs model 1,P=0.031;model 3 vs model 1,P=0.002;model 3 vs model 2,P=0.018)and SVI(model 2 vs model 1,P=0.147;model 3 vs model 1,P=0.037;model 3 vs model 2,P=0.134).SWE is valuable for identifying patients at high risk of adverse pathology.

A batch Markov arrival process（BMAP） X^＊=（N, J） is a 2-dimensional Markov process with two components, one is the counting process N and the other one is the phase process J. It is proved that the phase process is a time-homogeneous Markov chain with a finite state-space, or for short, Markov chain. In this paper,a new and inverse problem is proposed firstly： given a Markov chain J, can we deploy a process N such that the 2-dimensional process X^＊=（N, J） is a BMAP？ The process X^＊=（N, J） is said to be an adjoining BMAP for the Markov chain J. For a given Markov chain the adjoining processes exist and they are not unique. Two kinds of adjoining BMAPs have been constructed. One is the BMAPs with fixed constant batches, the other one is the BMAPs with independent and identically distributed（i.i.d） random batches. The method we used in this paper is not the usual matrix-analytic method of studying BMAP, it is a path-analytic method. We constructed directly sample paths of adjoining BMAPs. The expressions of characteristic（D_k, k = 0, 1, 2· · ·）and transition probabilities of the adjoining BMAP are obtained by the density matrix Q of the given Markov chain J. Moreover, we obtained two frontal Theorems. We present these expressions in the first time.

A data-space inversion(DSI)method has been recently proposed and successfully applied to the history matching and production prediction of reservoirs.Based on Bayesian theory,DSI can directly and effectively obtain good posterior flow predictions without inversion of geological parameters of reservoir model.This paper presents an improved DSI method to fast predict reservoir state fields(e.***.saturation and pressure profiles)via observed production data.Firstly,a large number of production curves and state data are generated by reservoir model simulation to expand the data space of original DSI.Then,efficient history matching only on the observed production data is carried out via the original DSI to obtain related parameters which reflects the weight of the real reservoir model relative to prior reservoir models.Finally,those parameters are used to predict the oil saturation and pressure profiles of the real reservoir model by combining large amounts of state data of prior reservoir models.Two examples including conventional heterogeneous and unconventional fractured reservoir are implemented to test the performances of predicting saturation and pressure profiles of this improved DSI method.Besides,this method is also tested in a real field and the obtained results show the high computational efficiency and high accuracy of the practical application of this method.

BACKGROUND: We sought to demonstrate the superiority of a targeted therapy strategy involving high-flow nasal cannula oxygen(HFNCO_(2)) therapy and noninvasive ventilation(NIV) using lung ultrasound score(LUS) in comparison with standard care among patients in the intensive care unit(ICU) who undergo successful weaning to decrease the incidence of extubation failure at both 48 hours and seven days.METHODS: During the study period, 98 patients were enrolled in the study, including 49 in the control group and 49 in the treatment group. Patients in the control group and patients with an LUS score <14 points(at low risk of extubation failure) in the treatment group were extubated and received standard preventive care without NIV or HFNCO_(2). Patients with an LUS score ≥14 points(at high risk of extubation failure) in the treatment group were extubated with a second review of the therapeutic optimization to identify and address any persisting risk factors for postextubation respiratory distress;patients received HFNCO2 therapy combined with sessions of preventive NIV(4-8 hours per day for 4-8 sessions total) for the first 48 hours after extubation.RESULTS: In the control group, 13 patients had the LUS scores ≥14 points, while 36 patients had scores <14 points. In the treatment group, 16 patients had the LUS scores ≥14 points, while 33 patients had scores <14 points. Among patients with the LUS score ≥14 points, the extubation failure rate within 48 hours was 30.8% in the control group and 12.5% in the treatment group, constituting a statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Conversely, among patients with an LUS score <14 points, 13.9% in the control group and 9.1% in the treatment group experienced extubation failure(P=0.61). The length of ICU stay(9.4±3.1 days vs. 7.2±2.4 days) was significantly different and the re-intubation rate(at 48 hours: 18.4% vs. 10.2%;seven days: 22.4% vs. 12.2%) significantly varied between the two groups(P<0.05). To enhance the accuracy of mechanical simulation in the directional solidification process of turbine blades for heavy-duty gas turbines,a new constitutive model that employs machine learning methods was developed.This model incorporates incremental learning and transfer learning,thus improves the predictive accuracy and generalization performance.To account for the anisotropy of the directionally solidified alloy,a deformation direction parameter is added to the model,enabling prediction of the stress-strain relationship of the alloy under different deformation directions.The predictive capabilities of both models are evaluated using correlation coefficient(R),average relative error(δ),and value of relative error(RE).Compared to the traditional model,the machine learning constitutive model achieves higher prediction accuracy and better generalization performance.This offers a new approach for the establishment of flow constitutive models for other directionally solidified and single-crystal superalloys.

Safety of Thread Embedding Acupuncture Therapy:A Systematic Review

Objective To evaluate the safety of thread embedding acupuncture therapy(TEAT)and discuss the prevention and treatment of some adverse events(AEs).Methods Review of databases,including China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),CBMdisc,Wanfang,VIP databases and English literature published in PubMed,MEDLINE,EMBASE and Web of Science,were searched from their inception to January 2020,randomized controlled trials(RCTs)and case reports in which AEs with TEAT were included.Cochrane Collaboration’s tool and RevMan V.5.3.3 software were used to evaluate the quality of the studies.Results A total of 61 studies(45 RCTs and 16 case reports)with 620 cases of AEs were included in this review.These studies were published in two countries:China and South Korea.Twenty eight kinds of AEs were summarized.The most common AEs were induration,bleeding and ecchymosis,redness and swelling,fever,and pain.They were accounted for 75.35%(425/564)in the review,and most of them were mild.The rarest AEs were epilepsy,irregular menstruation,skin ulcer,thread malabsorption,and fat liquefaction,with 1 case each.But not all of them had clear causal relationship with TEAT.Most of the AEs were local reactions[with incidence of 9.83%(480/4,882)]and systemic reactions accounted for only 1.27%(62/4,882).Although the included studies showed that AEs were very commonly encountered(11.09%),only 5 cases of severe AEs reported from 2013 to 2017(0.1%)by using catgut thread,which are rarely seen nowdays with the wide use of new absorbable surgical suture.All of the severe AEs were recovered after symptomatic treatment with no sequelae.Conclusions The evidence showed that TEAT is a relatively safe and convenient therapy especially since application of new absorbable surgical suture.Improving practitioner skills,regulating operations,and paying attention to the patients’conditions may reduce the incidence of AEs and improve safety of TEAT.

To the Editor:We read with great interest the article by Schulze et al.entitled“Robotic surgery and liver transplantation:A single-center experience of 501 robotic donor hepatectomies”[1].It is the first single-center report including over 500 fully robotic donor hepatectomies.For the donors,the overall complication rate was 6.4%(n=32).Postoperative self-limiting bleeding(0.4%)and bile leakage from the resection plane(1.8%)were rare.

For decades,the preparation of polyisoprene rubber that can match the comprehensive properties of natural rubber(NR)has been pursued.While sacrificial bonds have been used to promote the strength and toughness of rubbers,little is known about their effects on fatigue resistance,which is important in dynamic environments.Herein,terminal block and randomly functionalized polyisoprene rubbers tethered with di-alanine,tri-alanine and tetra-alanine were prepared.The results showed that the flow activation energy,aggregates ordering and energy dissipation of the hydrogen-bonded aggregates increase with the elongation of oligopeptide length(XA,X=2,3,4),therefore resulting in enhanced mechanical strength and toughness of corresponding samples.Comparably,the tear strengths are barely affected by oligopeptide lengths in block samples,but promoted from dipeptide to tetrapeptide in random samples,probably due to the well dispersed oligopeptide aggregates.Most importantly,it is found that the tight binding aggregates of oligopeptides are critical for the excellent fatigue resistance,which is absent in polyisoprene and natural rubber.The loose aggregates dissociate and recombine repeatedly under cyclic loading and the tight aggregates keep the network integrated and robust.Interestingly,the largest hysteresis of PIP-4A-V with the longest oligopeptide length give the lowest heat generation,which is contrary to the traditional sacrificial bonds.Overall,the oligopeptide aggregates have repeatable energy dissipation properties and cycle life comparable to or even surpassing those of the linked proteins in NR,resulting in similar tensile strength,fracture toughness,and better fatigue resistance relative to NR.This deep insight on the role of oligopeptide aggregates is very useful for the engineering rubbers served in dynamic environments.
