Objective:Gonorrhea is a globally widespread sexually transmitted infection caused by Neisseria *** study is aimed to analyze the epidemiological characteristics of gonorrhea cases reported in China in 2018 and provide evidence for strategies making in the gonorrhea prevention and control ***:Gonorrhea cases were extracted from National Notifiable Disease Report System (NNDRS) covering 31 provinces,autonomous regions,arnd municipalities in the mainland of *** overall incidence rate was calculated,as were rate per province,sex,age group,and occupation ***:in 2018,133,156 new cases of gonorrhea were reported in China,corresponding to an incidence rate of 9.59 cases per 100,000 population and having a 36.03% increase from 2014 (7.05 cases per 100,000 population).Zhejiang,Hainan,Guangdong,Fujian provinces,and Shanghai city had a higher reported rate (14.05-28.00 per 100,000 population).Hebei,Tianjin,Tibet,Heilongjiang,and Jilin provinces had a lower rerted rate (1.56-5.19 per 100,000 population).The males had a much higher incidence than the females (15.81 per 100,000 vs.3.08 per 100,000) and a faster rising rate (38.32% vs.27.27%).The highest rate was detected in the aged 25-29 years both of male and female (46.37 and 6.60 per 100,000,respectively),followed by those aged 30-34 years (41.12 and 6.39 per 100,000,respectively).The largest proportion of gonorrhea cases was among the farmers accounting for 27.74%,followed by the unemployed persons (24.67%),business persons (17.02%) and industrial workers (9.50%).Conclusion:In general,gonorrhea has an increasing trend from 2014 and remains a common notifiable disease in China in *** males who are sexually active are high risk populations for gonococ~ *** southeast coastal areas with developed economy have a higher rate of gonorrhea *** strategies on disease prevention and control should be performed on the high risk populations and regions.

采用粒子模拟方法,考察多支沿背景磁场方向传播的低频Alfvén波对磁化等离子体的加热过程,研究不同频率的多支低频Alfvén波相干加热.结果表明可以通过调整波的频率比实现对非共振加热过程和随机加热过程这两个阶段的强化.符合相干共振条件的多波加热会强化低频Alfvén波对粒子拾取,进而强化非共振加热,明显提高加热效率.在多波加热的过程中,如果多支波之间的频率差足够小,则多波在调制过程中会形成波包.波包的出现标志着粒子各向异性的强化,从而提升随机加热效率.

Potassium and calcium channels in different nerve cells act as therapeutic targets in neurological disorders

The central nervous system, information integration center of the body, is mainly composed of neurons and glial cells. The neuron is one of the most basic and important structural and functional units of the central nervous system, with sensory stimulation and excitation conduction functions. Astrocytes and microglia belong to the glial cell family, which is the main source of cytokines and represents the main defense system of the central nervous system. Nerve cells undergo neurotransmission or gliotransmission, which regulates neuronal activity via the ion channels, receptors, or transporters expressed on nerve cell membranes. Ion channels, composed of large transmembrane proteins, play crucial roles in maintaining nerve cell homeostasis. These channels are also important for control of the membrane potential and in the secretion of neurotransmitters. A variety of cellular functions and life activities, including functional regulation of the central nervous system, the generation and conduction of nerve excitation, the occurrence of receptor potential, heart pulsation, smooth muscle peristalsis, skeletal muscle contraction, and hormone secretion, are closely related to ion channels associated with passive transmembrane transport. Two types of ion channels in the central nervous system, potassium channels and calcium channels, are closely related to various neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy. Accordingly, various drugs that can affect these ion channels have been explored deeply to provide new directions for the treatment of these neurological disorders. In this review, we focus on the functions of potassium and calcium ion channels in different nerve cells and their involvement in neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, depression, epilepsy, autism, and rare disorders. The Mechanism of Heating Rate on the Secondary Recrystallization Evolution in Grain Oriented Silicon Steel

Engine Misfire Fault Detection Based on the Channel Attention Convolutional Model

To accurately diagnosemisfire faults in automotive engines,we propose a Channel Attention Convolutional Model,specifically the Squeeze-and-Excitation Networks(SENET),for classifying engine vibration signals and precisely pinpointing misfire *** the experiment,we established a total of 11 distinct states,encompassing the engine’s normal state,single-cylinder misfire faults,and dual-cylinder misfire faults for different *** collection was facilitated by a highly sensitive acceleration signal collector with a high sampling rate of 20,*** collected data were methodically divided into training and testing sets based on different experimental groups to ensure generalization and prevent overlap between the two *** results revealed that,with a vibration acceleration sequence of 1000 time steps(approximately 50 ms)as input,the SENET model achieved a misfire fault detection accuracy of 99.8%.For comparison,we also trained and tested several commonly used models,including Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM),Transformer,and Multi-Scale Residual Networks(MSRESNET),yielding accuracy rates of 84%,79%,and 95%,*** underscores the superior accuracy of the SENET model in detecting engine misfire faults compared to other ***,the F1 scores for each type of recognition in the SENET model surpassed 0.98,outperforming the baseline *** analysis indicated that the misclassified samples in the LSTM and Transformer models’predictions were primarily due to intra-class misidentifications between single-cylinder and dual-cylinder misfire *** delve deeper,we conducted a visual analysis of the features extracted by the LSTM and SENET models using T-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(T-SNE)*** findings revealed that,in the LSTMmodel,data points of the same type tended to cluster together with significant ***,in the SENET model,data points of various types were more widely and evenly dispersed,demonstra

Bacterial indole-3-propionic acid inhibits macrophage IL-1β production through targeting methionine metabolism

The gut microbiota plays key roles in host health by shaping the host immune responses through their metabolites, like indole derivatives from tryptophan. However, the direct role of these indole derivatives in macrophage fate decision and the underlying mechanism remains unknown. Here, we found that bacterial indole-3-propionic acid(IPA) downregulates interleukin-1beta(IL-1β) production in M1 macrophages through inhibition of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB) signaling. Mechanistically, IPA binds specifically with methionine adenosyltransferase 2A(MAT2A) to promote S-adenosylmethionine(SAM) synthesis, which facilitates the DNA methylation of ubiquitin-specific peptidase 16(USP16, a deubiquitinase), and in turn promotes Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4) ubiquitination and NF-κB inhibition. Furthermore,IPA administration attenuates sepsis in mouse models induced by lipopolysaccharides(LPS), showcasing its potential as a microbial-derived adjunct in alleviating inflammation. Collectively, our findings reveal a newly found microbial metabolite-immune system regulatory pathway mediated by IPA.

Characteristic changes in astrocyte properties during astrocyte-to-neuron conversion induced by NeuroD1/Ascl1/Dlx2

Direct in vivo conversion of astrocytes into functional new neurons induced by neural transcription factors has been recognized as a potential new therapeutic intervention for neural injury and degenerative disorders. However, a few recent studies have claimed that neural transcription factors cannot convert astrocytes into neurons, attributing the converted neurons to pre-existing neurons mis-expressing transgenes. In this study, we overexpressed three distinct neural transcription factors––NeuroD1, Ascl1, and Dlx2––in reactive astrocytes in mouse cortices subjected to stab injury, resulting in a series of significant changes in astrocyte properties. Initially, the three neural transcription factors were exclusively expressed in the nuclei of astrocytes. Over time, however, these astrocytes gradually adopted neuronal morphology, and the neural transcription factors was gradually observed in the nuclei of neuron-like cells instead of astrocytes. Furthermore,we noted that transcription factor-infected astrocytes showed a progressive decrease in the expression of astrocytic markers AQP4(astrocyte endfeet signal), CX43(gap junction signal), and S100β. Importantly, none of these changes could be attributed to transgene leakage into preexisting neurons. Therefore, our findings suggest that neural transcription factors such as NeuroD1, Ascl1, and Dlx2 can effectively convert reactive astrocytes into neurons in the adult mammalian brain.
