Single crystal LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)is currently widely used due to the outstanding cycle stability and ***,its sensitivity to the environment and the high residual alkali makes the electrochemical performance and processing property severely degraded after long-term storage,especially for the Ni-rich single crystal ***,it is highly urgent to develop a cost-effective strategy for the revival of degraded Ni-rich cathode ***,a low-carbon strategy is proposed to revive the degraded single crystal LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)(SCNCM622)through water *** solid-liquid reaction mechanism of SCNCM622 and water was revealed and the strong dependence of the recovery effect on the washing time was *** optimized conditions,the sample with a washing time of 24 h shows 31.2%reduction in viscosity,18.4%improvement in discharge capacity,15.3%enhancement in cycle life,and excellent rate performance compared to the blank ***,this strategy can achieve higher utilization of single crystal Ni-based cathode materials with a lower cost.

The role of the rare earth element Sm in as-cast Zn-5AI alloy was studied in this work.A three times higher improvement than the control group on corrosion resistance was found with rare earth Sm adding(0.15 wt%).By using an electron prove micro analyzer(EPMA),focused ion beam(FIB)and scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy(SKPFM)techniques,two main mechanisms of the premium performance of the Sm adding were *** was that the non-uniform nucleation and component undercooling induced by Sm adding,reduced theα-AI layer spacing thus improved the covering efficiency of the Al_(2)O_(3)*** other was that the dissolved Sm in the Zn/Al eutectic structure modulated the electron work function thus induced the attenuation of Volta potential *** experimental results show that when the addition of Sm is 0.15 wt%,the minimum Volta potential difference betweenα-AI andη-Zn phases is achieved,and excessive or deficient Sm addition will increase the Volta potential difference.

Global urbanization causes more environmental stresses in cities and energy efficiency is one of major concerns for urban *** variable importance techniques have been widely used in building energy analysis to determine key factors influencing building energy *** of these applications,however,use only one type of variable importance ***,this paper proposes a procedure of conducting two types of variable importance analysis(predictive and variance-based)to determine robust and effective energy saving measures in urban *** two variable importance methods belong to metamodeling techniques,which can significantly reduce computational cost of building energy simulation models for urban *** predictive importance analysis is based on the prediction errors of metamodels to obtain importance rankings of inputs,while the variance-based variable importance can explore non-linear effects and interactions among input variables based on variance *** campus buildings are used to demonstrate the application of the method proposed to explore characteristic of heating energy,cooling energy,electricity,and carbon emissions of *** results indicate that the combination of two types of metamodeling variable importance analysis can provide fast and robust analysis to improve energy efficiency of urban *** carbon emissions can be reduced approximately 30%after using a few of effective energy efficiency measures and more aggressive measures can lead to the 60%of reduction of carbon ***,this research demonstrates the application of parallel computing to expedite building energy analysis in urban environment since more multi-core computers become increasingly available.

Under appropriate culture conditions,plant cells can regenerate new organs or even whole *** novo organ regeneration is an excellent biological system,which usually requires additional growth regulators,including auxin and *** is an essential nutrient element for plant vegetative and reproductive *** has been reported that nitrate is involved in auxin biosynthesis and transport throughout the growth and development of *** this study,we demonstrated that the ectopic expression of the MdNLP7 transcription factor in Arabidopsis could regulate the regeneration of root ***7 mainly participated in the regulation of callus formation,starting with pericycle cell division,and mainly affected auxin distribution and accumulation in the regulation ***,MdNLP7 upregulated the expression of genes related to auxin biosynthesis and transport in the callus formation *** results demonstrated that MdNLP7 may play a role in the nitrate-modulated regeneration of root ***,the results revealed that nitrate–auxin crosstalk is required for de novo callus initiation and clarified the mechanisms of organogenesis.

Secrets of high thermal emission of transition metal disilicides TMSi_(2)(TM=Ta,Mo)

TMSi_(2)(TM=Ta,Mo)are extensively used as thermal emissivity agents in high emission coatings due to their well-known"high"emissivity in infrared ***,there is a paucity of the high temperature(HT)emissivity property of these two ***,room temperature(RT)spectrometer measurements have demonstrated that the emittance in infrared range of two silicides was considerably ***,providing critical HT data and satisfactory elucidation on the emission incompatibility of TMSi_(2)is eagerly *** this contribution,combining first principles calculations and Drude model,the reflectance spectra of TMSi_(2)were predicted at both RT and *** with spectrometer measurements,the intrinsic emittance of silicides was relatively low in the entire investigated *** explain the incompatible emission behavior,two simplified models including the majority of high emissivity coating,SiO_(2),were ***,with SiO_(2)considered in simulations,no matter covered on the surface or blended in the composites,the emittance of the TMSi_(2)enhanced *** theoretical results demonstrate the non-negligible significance of oxides on the high temperature performance of silicides and provide the guidelines for improving the emission performance of silicides and searching for potential high emissivity agents.

Effects of Elevated CO_2 Concentration on the Biomasses and Nitrogen Concentrations in the Organs of Sainfoin(Onobrychis viciaefolia Scop.)

In forage grasses, the nitrogen concentration is directly related to the nutritional value. The studies examined the hypothesis that global elevation of CO2 concentration probably affects the biomass, nitrogen （N） concentration, and allocation and distribution patterns in the organs of forage grasses. While sainfoin （Onobrychis viciaefolia Scop.） seedlings grew on a low nutrient soil in closed chambers for 90 days, they were exposed to two CO2 concentrations （ambient or ambient＋350 μmol mol^-1 CO2） without adding nutrients to them. After 90 days exposure to CO2, the biomasses of leaves, stems, and roots, and N concentrations and contents of different parts were measured. Compared with the ambient CO2 concentration, the elevated CO2 concentration increased the total dry matter by 25.07%, mainly due to the root and leaf having positive response to the elevated CO2 concentration. However, the elevated CO2 concentration did not change the proportions of the dry matters in different parts and the total plants compared with the ambient CO2 concentration. The elevated CO2 concentration lowered the N concentrations of the plant parts. Because the dry matter was higher, the elevated CO2 concentration had no effect on the N content in the plants compared to the ambient CO2 concentration. The elevated CO2 concentration promoted N allocations of the different parts significantly and increased N allocation of the underground part. The results have confirmed the previous suggestions that the elevated CO2 concentration stimulates plant biomass production and decreases the N concentrations of the plant parts.

Scaling of maximum probability density function of velocity increments in turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection

In this paper, we apply a scaling analysis of the maximum of the probability density function（pdf） of velocity increments, i.e., max（） = max（）up p u, for a velocity field of turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection obtained at the Taylor-microscale Reynolds number Re60. The scaling exponent is comparable with that of the first-order velocity structure function, （1）, in which the large-scale effect might be constrained, showing the background fluctuations of the velocity field. It is found that the integral time T（x/ D） scales as T（x/ D）（x/ D）, with a scaling exponent =0.25 0.01, suggesting the large-scale inhomogeneity of the flow. Moreover, the pdf scaling exponent （x, z） is strongly inhomogeneous in the x（horizontal） direction. The vertical-direction-averaged pdf scaling exponent （x） obeys a logarithm law with respect to x, the distance from the cell sidewall, with a scaling exponent 0.22 within the velocity boundary layer and 0.28 near the cell sidewall. In the cell＇s central region, （x, z） fluctuates around 0.37, which agrees well with （1） obtained in high-Reynolds-number turbulent flows, implying the same intermittent correction. Moreover, the length of the inertial range represented in decade（）IT x is found to be linearly increasing with the wall distance x with an exponent 0.65 0.05.

In non-small cell lung cancers,the non-squamous and squamous subtypes（nsqNSCLC and sqNSCLC） exhibit disparities in pathophysiology,tumor immunology,and potential genomic correlates affecting responses to immune checkpoint inhibitor（ICI）-based *** our inhouse training cohort（n=85）,the presence of the LRP1B deleterious mutation（LRP1B-del） was associated with longer and shorter progression-free survival（PFS） on ICIs alone in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,respectively(Pinteraction=0.008).These results were validated using a larger public ICI cohort(n=208,Pinteraction<0.001).Multiplex immunofluorescence staining revealed an association between LRP1B-del and increased and decreased numbers of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells in nsqNSCLCs（P=0.040） and sqNSCLCs（P=0.014）,*** the POPLAR/OAK cohort,nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del demonstrated improved PFS benefits from atezolizumab over docetaxel(hazard ratio（HR）=0.70,P=0.046),whereas this benefit was negligible in those without LRP1B-del（HR=1.05,P=0.64）.Conversely,sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from atezolizumab（HR=0.60,P=0.002） than those with LRP1B-del（HR=1.30,P=0.31）.Consistent results were observed in the in-house CHOICE-01 cohort,in which nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del and sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from toripalimab plus chemotherapy than from chemotherapy alone(Pinteraction=0.008).This multi-cohort study delineates the antithetical impacts of LRP1B-del in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs on predicting the benefits from ICI alone or with chemotherapy over chemotherapy *** findings highlight the distinct clinical utility of LRP1B-del in guiding treatment choices for nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,emphasizing the necessity for a detailed analysis based on pathological subtypes when investigating biomarkers for cancer therapeutics.

Hepatectomy after primary repair of ruptured liver cancer

BACKGROUND: Spontaneous rupture of liver tumor is often considered a potentially life-threatening situation. The aim of the present study was to assess re-operation after emergency repair of ruptured liver cancer. METHODS: We reviewed retrospectively five patients who had been admitted within a one-year period and undergone a second operation after emergency repair of primary liver cancer rupture. RESULTS: Five patients (4 males and I female) underwent emergency repair of ruptured liver cancer in local hospitals; three of them received transarterial chemoembolization (TACE). The tumor was in the right hepatic lobe in 2 patients, middle lobe in 1, left median lobe (segment IV) in 1, and caudate lobe (segment 1) in 1. Operative methods included right hemihepatectomy in 2 patients, left partial lobectomy or wedge resection in 1, caudate lobe resection in 1, and middle lobctomy+cholecystectomy+abdominal implant resection in 1. Intra-abdominal chemotherapy was given to all 5 patients. Follow-up showed that one patient died from intrahepatic metastasis and hepatic failure six months after reoperation and that two patients died from extensive intra-abdominal metastases six months later. The remaining two patients have been surviving for 28 months. CONCLUSIONS: Re-operation is indicated for patients with primary liver cancer rupture whose liver function is good and whose foci are localized and operable. Apart from removing the primary foci, it is necessary to clear abdominal metastatic foci, irrigate the abdomen and administer chemotherapy to prolong the patient's life.

The low-melting glass of Bi2O_(3)-B2O_(3)-SiO_(2)(BiBSi)system was used for the first time for laser sealing of vacuum *** the condition of constant boron content,how the structure and properties vary with Bi/Si ratio in low-melting glass was *** addition,the relationships between laser power,low-melting glass solder with different Bi/Si ratios and laser sealing shear strength were *** results show that a decrease in the Bi/Si ratio can cause a contraction of the glass network of the low-melting glass,leading to an increase of its characteristic temperature and a decrease of its coefficient of thermal *** laser sealing,the copper ions in the low-melting glass play an endothermic role.A change in the Bi/Si ratio will affect the valence state transition of the copper ions in the low-melting *** absorbance of the low-melting glass does not follow the expected correlation with the Bi/Si ratio,but shows a linear correlation with the content of divalent copper *** greater the concentration of divalent copper ions,the greater the absorbance of the low-melting glass,and the lower the laser power required for laser *** shear strength of the low melting glass solder after laser sealing was tested,and it was found that the maximum shear strength of Z1 glass sample was the highest up to 2.67 MPa.
