Robot-Oriented 6G Satellite-UAV Networks: Requirements, Paradigm Shifts, and Case Studies

Networked robots can perceive their surroundings, interact with each other or humans,and make decisions to accomplish specified tasks in remote/hazardous/complex environments. Satelliteunmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) networks can support such robots by providing on-demand communication services. However, under traditional open-loop communication paradigm, the network resources are usually divided into user-wise mostly-independent links,via ignoring the task-level dependency of robot collaboration. Thus, it is imperative to develop a new communication paradigm, taking into account the highlevel content and values behind, to facilitate multirobot operation. Inspired by Wiener’s Cybernetics theory, this article explores a closed-loop communication paradigm for the robot-oriented satellite-UAV network. This paradigm turns to handle group-wise structured links, so as to allocate resources in a taskoriented manner. It could also exploit the mobility of robots to liberate the network from full coverage,enabling new orchestration between network serving and positive mobility control of robots. Moreover,the integration of sensing, communications, computing and control would enlarge the benefit of this new paradigm. We present a case study for joint mobile edge computing(MEC) offloading and mobility control of robots, and finally outline potential challenges and open issues.

As an essential concept to understand the world,whether the real values(or physical realities)of observables are suitable to physical systems beyond the classic has been debated for many *** standard nogo results based on Bell inequalities have ruled out the joint reality of incompatible quantum observables,the possibility of giving simple yet strong arguments to rule out joint reality in any physical system(not necessarily quantum)with weaker assumptions and less observables has been explored and proposed ***,we perform a device-independent experiment on a two-qubit superconducting system to show that the joint reality of two observables is incompatible with locality under the weaker assumption of the reality of observables in a single space-time region(or single qubit).Our results clearly show the violation of certain inequalities derived from both linear and nonlinear *** addition,we study the robustness of the linear and nonlinear criterion against the effect of systematic *** demonstration opens up the possibility of delineating classical and non-classical boundaries with simpler nontrivial quantum system.

With the rapid development of portable electronics and electric road vehicles,high-energy-density batteries have been becoming front-burner ***,homogeneous electrolyte cannot simultaneously meet diametrically opposed demands of high-potential cathode and low-potential anode,which are essential for high-voltage ***,homogeneous electrolyte is difficult to achieve bi-or multi-functions to meet different requirements of *** comparison,the asymmetric electrolyte with bi-or multi-layer disparate components can satisfy distinct requirements by playing different roles of each electrolyte layer and meanwhile compensates weakness of individual ***,the asymmetric electrolyte can not only suppress by-product sedimentation and continuous electrolyte decomposition at the anode while preserving active substances at the cathode for high-voltage batteries with long cyclic *** this review,we comprehensively divide asymmetric electrolytes into three categories:decoupled liquid-state electrolytes,bi-phase solid/liquid electrolytes and decoupled asymmetric solid-state *** design principles,reaction mechanism and mutual compatibility are also studied,***,we provide a comprehensive vision for the simplification of structure to reduce costs and increase device energy density,and the optimization of solvation structure at anolyte/catholyte interface to realize fast ion transport kinetics.

Subnanometer metal clusters play an increasingly important role in heterogeneous catalysis due to their high catalytic activity and *** this work,by means of the density functional theory(DFT) calculations,the catalytic activities of transition metal clusters with precise numbers of atoms supported on graphdiyne(TM_(1.4)@GDY,TM=V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Ru,Rh,Pd,Ir,Pt) were investigated for oxygen evolution reactions(OER),oxygen reduction reactions(ORR) and hydrogen evolution reactions(HER).The computed results reveal that the Pd_(2),Pd_(4) and Pt_(1. anchored graphdiyne can serve as trifunctional catalysts for OER/ORR/HER with the overpotentials of 0.49/0.37/0.06,0.45/0.33/0.1. and 0.37/0.43/0.01.V,respectively,while Pd_(1. and Pt_(2)@graphdiyne can exhibit excellent catalytic performance for water splitting(OER/HER) with the overpotentials of 0.55/0.1. and 0.43/0.03 *** addition,Ni_(1. and Pd_(3) anchored GDY can perform as bifunctional catalysts for metal-air cells(OER/ORR) and fuels cells(ORR/HER) with the overpotentials of 0.34/0.32 and 0.42/0.04 V,***,by precisely controlling the numbers of atoms in clusters,the TM_(1.4) anchored graphdiyne can serve as promising multifunctional electrocatalysts for OER/ORR/HER,which may provide an instructive strategy to design catalysts for the energy conversation and storage devices.

As a Turing test in multimedia,visual question answering(VQA)aims to answer the textual question with a given ***,the“dynamic”property of neural networks has been explored as one of the most promising ways of improving the adaptability,interpretability,and capacity of the neural network ***,despite the prevalence of dynamic convolutional neural networks,it is relatively less touched and very nontrivial to exploit dynamics in the transformers of the VQA tasks through all the stages in an end-to-end ***,due to the large computation cost of transformers,researchers are inclined to only apply transformers on the extracted high-level visual features for downstream vision and language *** this end,we introduce a question-guided dynamic layer to the transformer as it can effectively increase the model capacity and require fewer transformer layers for the VQA *** particular,we name the dynamics in the Transformer as Conditional Multi-Head Self-Attention block(cMHSA).Furthermore,our questionguided cMHSA is compatible with conditional ResNeXt block(cResNeXt).Thus a novel model mixture of conditional gating blocks(McG)is proposed for VQA,which keeps the best of the Transformer,convolutional neural network(CNN),and dynamic *** pure conditional gating CNN model and the conditional gating Transformer model can be viewed as special examples of *** quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate McG on the CLEVR and VQA-Abstract *** experiments show that McG has achieved the state-of-the-art performance on these benchmark datasets.

The propagation form of internal cracks induced by continuous casting soft reduction and the control strategy for enhancing the internal quality of 45 steel through industrial trials and a three-dimensional flow-heat transfer-solidification coupling model were *** results showed that the internal cracks induced by soft reduction exhibited a characteristic of being"coarse in the middle and fine at both ends",and displayed an elliptical arc distribution on the loose side of the strand cross *** cracks originated within the brittle temperature range and propagated inward to the liquid impenetrable temperature and outward to the zero ductility temperature or *** control strategy for enhancing the internal quality of the 45 steel strand through soft reduction is to adjust the casting speed or the reduction zone appropriately,ensuring that the central solid fraction of the reduction zone falls within the range of *** this point,a reasonable reduction amount is allocated to eliminate the center shrinkage cavities and center segregation,even if it results in minor reduction-induced cracks.

Accurate soil moisture(SM)prediction is critical for understanding hydrological ***-based(PB)models exhibit large uncertainties in SM predictions arising from uncertain parameterizations and insufficient representation of land-surface *** addition to PB models,deep learning(DL)models have been widely used in SM predictions ***,few pure DL models have notably high success rates due to lacking physical ***,we developed hybrid models to effectively integrate the outputs of PB models into DL models to improve SM *** this end,we first developed a hybrid model based on the attention mechanism to take advantage of PB models at each forecast time scale(attention model).We further built an ensemble model that combined the advantages of different hybrid schemes(ensemble model).We utilized SM forecasts from the Global Forecast System to enhance the convolutional long short-term memory(ConvLSTM)model for 1.1. days of SM *** performances of the proposed hybrid models were investigated and compared with two existing hybrid *** results showed that the attention model could leverage benefits of PB models and achieved the best predictability of drought events among the different hybrid ***,the ensemble model performed best among all hybrid models at all forecast time scales and different soil *** is highlighted that the ensemble model outperformed the pure DL model over 79.5%of in situ stations for 1.-day *** findings suggest that our proposed hybrid models can adequately exploit the benefits of PB model outputs to aid DL models in making SM predictions.

The study considers gas compression properties,gas slippage,back pressure(BP),phase transition(PT),well depth,and differences in gas-liquid physical properties.A new temperature model for multiphase flow is proposed by considering phase transition in the drilling *** mathematical model of multiphase flow is solved using the finite difference method with annulus mesh division for grid nodes,and a module for multiphase flow calculation and analysis is *** results indicate that the temperature varies along the annulus with the variation of gas influx at the bottom of the *** the process of controlled pressure drilling,as gas slips along the annulus to the wellhead,its volume continuously expands,leading to an increase in the gas content within the annulus,and consequently,an increase in the pressure drop caused by gas *** temperature increases with the increase in BP and decreases in gas influx rate and wellbore *** gas influx,the thermal conductivity coefficient for the gas-drilling mud two phases is significantly weakened,resulting in a considerable change in temperature along the *** the context of MPD,the method of slightly changing the temperature along the annulus by controlling the back pressure is feasible.
