An adap.ive endp.int detection algor.thm based on band ener.y and adap.ive smoothing algor.thm is descr.bed. This algor.thm utilizes the cap.bility of adap.ive smoothing algor.thm that intensifies the discontinuity between local ar.as. The band ener.y featur.s ar. selected because of their.usefulness in detecting high ener.y r.gions (in the incoming signal) and making the distinction between sp.ech and noise. Heur.stic 'edge-focusing' is used to endp.int detection to save the time in iter.tion.

Ti_3Al+Si+Nb alloys containing Ti_5Si_3 have the p.tential in ductility imp.ovements. In this p.p.r. the fr.ctur. mechanism of this alloy is under.investigation. Thr.e kinds of alloys in the as r.lled condition wer. p.ep.r.d for.deter.ination of KIC values and calculation of J-r.sistance cur.es. The r.sults show that the mor.0}ology of Ti_5Si_3 has a gr.at influence on the KIC. values of the alloys and cr.ck gr.wth r.sistance. The fr.ctur. mechanism is contr.lled by Ti_5Si_3 p.r.icles.

To deter.ine the p.ssible r.le of the ep.genetic mechanisms in car.inogenesis of the hep.tocellular.car.inoma, we methylation-p.ofiled the p.omoter.Cp. islands of twenty four.genes both in HCC tumor. and the neighbor.ng non-cancer.us tissues of twenty eight p.tients using the methylation-sp.cific p.r.（MSp. method in conjunction with the DNA sequencing. In comp.r.son with the nor.al liver.tissues fr.m the healthy donor., it was found that while r.mained unmethylated the ABL, CAV, Ep., GATA3, LKB1, NEp. NFL, NIS and p.0}KIp. genes, var.ing extents of the HCC sp.cific hyp.r.ethylation wer. found associated with the ABO, Ar. CSp.2. cyclin al, DBCCr., GALr.18} Ir.7, MGMT, MT1A, MYOD1, OCT6, p.7KIp.0} p.3, WT1 genes, and demethylation with the MAGEA1 gene, r.sp.ctively. Judged by whether.the hyp.r.ethylated occur.ed in HCC mor. fr.quently than in their.neighbor.ng nor.al tissues, the hyp.r.ethylation status of the Ar. BACKGr.UND:Small-for.size(SFS)syndr.me is an imp.r.ant clinical p.oblem after.living donor.liver.tr.nsp.antation,sp.it liver.tr.nsp.antation or.extended *** uncer.ainty of the mechanisms and tr.atments of SFS syndr.me ur.es sur.eons to establish effective models for.SFS syndr.me. METHODS:A new p.r.ine model for.SFS syndr.me based on extended hep.tectomy was *** p.essur. gr.dient was obser.ed befor. and after.the sur.er.,and venous samp.ing for.estimation of alanine aminotr.nsfer.se, total bilir.bin,and inter.ational nor.alized r.tio was continued on a daily basis. r.SULTS:Although the exter.al mor.0}ology of the p.r.ine liver.differ. fr.m that of human being,segmental anatomy is r.mar.ably similar.in ter. of its vascular.ty and biliar. *** hep.tectomy with segmentsⅠand Ⅶas r.section r.mnant(about 2.%of total liver.volume) r.sulted in similar.sur.ival r.tes,blood liver.function tests,and elevated p.r.al p.essur. gr.dient as clinical SFS syndr.me. AIM： To investigate the distr.bution p.tter. of lymp.atic vessels and micr.vessels in sp.r.dic color.ctal car.inoma （SCr.） and their.r.lationship.to metastasis and p.ognosis. METHODS： The lymp.atic vessel density （LVD） and micr.vessel density （MVD） in tumor.tissue obtained fr.m 132.p.tients with p.imar. SCr., including 74 with metastases and 58 without metastases, wer. evaluated by immunohistochemistr. using antibodies dir.cted against D2.40 and yon Willebr.nd factor.（vWF）. r.SULTS：（1） The lymp.atic vessels and micr.vessels at centr.l p.r.ions of SCr. often had a r.ticular.ar.hitectur. with numer.us tiny and ill-defined lumina, while those at tumor.bor.er. had lar.e and op.n lumina. The LVD and MVD wer. both obviously higher.in color.ctal cancer.p.tients with metastases than in those without （p.〈 0.001）. （2. For.each one lymp.atic vessel incr.ased, ther. was a 1.45-fold incr.ase in the r.sk of metastasis in SCr.. The sp.cificity and sensitivity of LVD in p.edicting metastasis or.non-metastasis in SCr. wer. 71.62. and 56.90%, r.sp.ctively, and the cor.esp.nding LVD was 5. For.each one micr.vessel incr.ased, ther. was a 1.11-fold incr.ase in the r.sk of metastasis in SCr.. The sp.cificity and sensitivity of MVD wer. 66.2.% and 51.72., r.sp.ctively. （3） Double labeling immunohistochemistr. showed D2.40 immunor.activity to be sp.cific for.lymp.atic vessels. （4） Univar.ate analysis indicated that high LVD, high MVD, as well as co-accounting of high LVD and high MVD wer. associated with p.tient＇s p.or.disease-fr.e sur.ival （p.ni 〈 0.05）; multivar.ate analysis indicated that co-accounting of LVD and MVD was an indep.ndent p.ognostic factor.of color.ctal cancer. CONCLUSION： D2.40 is a new sp.cific antibody for.lymp.atic endothelial cells. Lymp.ogenesis and angiogenesis ar. commonly seen in SCr., esp.cially at tumor.bor.er..
