Energy storage technologies have been identified as the key in constructing new electric power systems and achieving carbon neutrality,as they can absorb and smooth the renewables-generated *** zinc-based flow batteries are well suitable for stationary energy storage applications,since they feature the advantages of high safety,high cell voltage and low ***,many alkaline zinc-based flow batteries have been proposed and developed,e.g.,the alkaline zinc–iron flow battery and alkaline zinc–nickel flow *** development and application are closely related to advanced materials and battery *** this perspective,we will first provide a brief introduction and discussion of alkaline zinc-based flow *** we focus on these batteries from the perspective of their current status,challenges and *** bottlenecks for these batteries are briefly *** with the practical requirements and development trends of alkaline zinc-based flow battery technologies,their future development and research direction will be summarized.

Cast iron alloys with low production cost and quite good mechanical properties are widely used in the automotive *** study the mechanical behavior of a typical ductile cast iron(GJS-450)with nodular graphite,uni-axial quasi-static and dynamic tensile tests at strain rates of 1.^(-4),1.1.,1.0,and 250 s^(-1.were carried *** order to investigate the influence of stress state on the deformation and fracture parameters,specimens with various geometries were used in the *** strain curves and fracture strains of the GJS-450 alloy in the strain rate range of 1.^(-4)to 250 s^(-1.were obtained.A strain rate-dependent plastic flow model was proposed to describe the mechanical behavior in the corresponding strain-rate *** available damage model was extended to take the strain rate into account and calibrated based on the analysis of local fracture *** with the proposed plastic flow model and the damage model were conducted to observe the deformation and fracture *** results show that the strain rate has obviously nonlinear effects on the yield stress and fracture strain of GJS-450 *** predictions with the proposed plastic flow and damage models at various strain rates agree well with the experimental results,which illustrates that the rate-dependent plastic flow and damage models can be used to describe the mechanical behavior of cast iron alloys at elevated strain *** proposed plastic flow and damage models can be used to describe the deformation and fracture analysis of materials with similar properties.

Urban sewer pipes are a vital infrastructure in modern cities,and their defects must be detected in time to prevent potential *** recent years,to relieve the manual efforts by human experts,models based on deep learning have been introduced to automatically identify potential ***,these models are insufficient in terms of dataset complexity,model versatility and *** work addresses these issues with amulti-stage defect detection architecture using a composite backbone Swin *** based on this architecture is trained using a more comprehensive dataset containingmore classes of *** ablation studies on the modules of combined backbone Swin Transformer,multi-stage detector,test-time data augmentation and model fusion,it is revealed that they all contribute to the improvement of detection accuracy from different *** model incorporating all these modules achieves the mean Average Precision(mAP)of 78.6% at an Intersection over Union(IoU)threshold of *** represents an improvement of 1..1. over the ResNet50 Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(R-CNN)model and a 6.7% improvement over You Only Look Once version 6(YOLOv6)-large,the highest in the YOLO *** addition,for other defect detection models for sewer pipes,although direct comparison with themis infeasible due to the unavailability of their private datasets,our results are obtained from a more comprehensive dataset and have superior generalization capabilities.

Anode-free solid-state lithium metal batteries(AF-SSLBs)have the potential to deliver higher energy density and improved safety beyond lithium-metal ***,the unclear mechanism for the fast capacity decay in AF-SSLBs,either determined by dead Li or solid electrolyte interface(SEI),limits the proposal of effective strategies to prolong cycling *** clarify the underlying mechanism,herein,the evolution of SEI and dead Li is quantitatively analyzed by a solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(ss-NMR)technology in a typical LiPF6-based polymer *** results show that the initial capacity loss is attributed to the formation of SEI,while the dead Li dominates the following capacity loss and the growth rate is 0.1.1.mA h cm^(−2)cycle−*** reduce the active Li loss,the combination of inorganic-rich SEI and self-healing electrostatic shield effect is proposed to improve the reversibility of Li deposition/dissolution behavior,which reduces the capacity loss rate for the initial SEI and following dead Li generation by 2.3 and 20.1.folds,*** a result,the initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)and stable CE increase by 1..1.and 1..3%in Li-Cu cells,which guides the rational design of high-performance AF-SSLBs.

Stirred reactors are key equipment in production,and unpredictable failures will result in significant economic losses and safety ***,it is necessary to monitor its health *** achieve this goal,in this study,five states of the stirred reactor were firstly preset:normal,shaft bending,blade eccentricity,bearing wear,and bolt *** signals along x,y and z axes were collected and analyzed in both the time domain and frequency ***,93 statistical features were extracted and evaluated by ReliefF,Maximal Information Coefficient(MIC)and *** above evaluation results were then fused by D-S evidence theory to extract the final 1. features that are most relevant to the state of the stirred ***,the CatBoost algorithm was introduced to establish the stirred reactor health monitoring *** validation results showed that the model achieves 1.0%accuracy in detecting the fault/normal state of the stirred reactor and 98%accuracy in diagnosing the type of fault.

The semi-rigid pile-supported composite foundation is widely used in highway projects due to its effectiveness in increasing the bearing capacity and stability of *** is crucial to understand the stress distribution across the embankment width and the behaviour of unreinforced ***,five centrifuge tests were conducted to examine the bearing and deformation behaviours of NPRS(Non-Connected Piled Raft Systems)and GRPS(GeosyntheticReinforced Pile-Supported systems)with varying substratum stiffness,then a comparative analysis was conducted on embankment settlement,pressures underneath the embankments,and axial forces along the *** results indicated that greater substratum stiffness correlates with reduced settlement and deformation at various *** occurring 5 meters from the embankment toe includes settlement in NPRS and upward movement in *** potential sliding surface is primarily located within the embankment in NPRS,whereas it may extend through both the embankment and foundation in *** pile-soil stress ratio and efficiency in NPRS are higher than in GRPS across the *** axial force borne by end-bearing piles is significantly greater than that by floating *** the buried depth increases,the axial force in GRPS initially rises then declines,whereas in NPRS,it remains relatively constant within a certain range before *** study aids in assessing the applicability of composite foundations in complex railway environments and provides a reference for procedural measures under similar conditions.
