BACKGROUND Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)is a heterogeneous autoimmune disorder with varied clinical courses and prognoses,not only did the patients suffer from physical impairment,but also various physical and psychiatric *** evidence have suggested that mental disorders in SLE patients,can lead to various adverse *** To explored the features and influencing factors of mental health in patients with SLE and clarifying the correlations between mental health and personality characteristics and perceived social *** results would provide a basis for psychological intervention in patients with *** The clinical data of 168 patients with SLE admitted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University between June 2020 and June 2022 were *** assessment and correlation analysis were conducted using the Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90)and Perceived Social Support Scale,and the collected data were compared with the national norms in *** relevant factors influencing mental health were identified by statistical analysis.A general information questionnaire,the Revised Life Orientation Test,and Short-Form 36-Item Health Survey were employed to assess optimism level and quality of life(QoL),*** Patients with SLE obtained higher scores for the somatization,depression,anxiety,and phobic anxiety subscales than national norms(P<0.05).A correlation was identified between total social support and total SCL-90 score or each subscale(P<0.05).The factors significantly affecting patients’mental health were hormone dosage and disease activity index(DAI)(P<0.05).The average optimism score of patients with SLE was 14.36±4.42,and 30 cases were in the middle and lower levels.A positive correlation was found between optimism level and QoL *** Patients with SLE develop psychological disorders at varying degrees,which are significantly influenced by hormone dosage and ***’menta

Adhesive Contact of Elastic Solids with Self-Affine Fractal Rough Surfaces

The elastic adhesive contact of self-affine fractal rough surfaces against a rigid flat is simulated using the finite element method. An array of nonlinear springs, of which the force-separation law obeys the Lennard–Jones potential, is introduced to account for the interfacial adhesion. For fractal rough surfaces, the interfacial interaction is generally attractive for large mean gaps, but turns repulsive as the gap continuously shrinks. The interfacial interactions at the turning point corresponding to the spontaneous contact are shown for various surfaces. For relatively smooth surfaces, the probability density distributions of repulsion and attraction are nearly symmetric. However, for rougher surfaces, the simulation results suggest a uniform distribution for attraction but a monotonously decreasing distribution with a long tail for repulsion. The pull-off force rises with increasing ratio of the work of adhesion to the equilibrium distance, whereas decreases for solids with a higher elastic modulus and a larger surface roughness. The current study will be helpful for understanding the adhesion of various types of rough solids.

Exploring charge and spin fluctuations in infinite-layer cuprate SrCuO_(2)from a phonon perspective

The infinite-layer cuprate ACu O_(2)(A=Ca,Sr,Ba)possesses the simplest crystal structure among numerous cuprate superconductors and can serve as a prototypical system to explore the unconventional *** on the first-principles electronic structure calculations,we have studied the electronic and magnetic properties of the infinite-layer cuprate SrCuO_(2)from a phonon *** find that interesting fluctuations of charges,electrical dipoles,and local magnetic moments can be induced by the atomic displacements of phonon modes in SrCuO_(2)upon the hole *** all optical phonon modes of SrCuO_(2)in the antiferromagnetic Néel state,only the A_(1g)mode that involves the full-breathing O vibrations along the Cu-O bonds can cause significant fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O atoms and dramatic charge redistributions between Cu and O ***,due to the atomic displacements of the A_(1g)mode,both the charge fluctuations on Cu and the electrical dipoles on O show a dome-like evolution with increasing hole doping,quite similar to the experimentally observed behavior of the superconducting T_(c);in comparison,the fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O display a monotonic enhancement along with the hole *** analyses indicate that around the optimal doping,there exists a large softening in the frequency of the A_(1g)phonon mode and a van Hove singularity in the electronic structure close to the Fermi level,suggesting potential electron-phonon *** work reveals the important role of the full-breathing O phonon mode playing in the infinite-layer SrCuO_(2),which may provide new insights in understanding the cuprate superconductivity.

Reinforcement of High Impact Polystyrene by Aramid Nanoparticle Fillers Prepared via an In situ Bottom-up Approach

In this work,aramid nanoparticles(ANPs)were prepared in dimethyl formamide(DMF)solution containing high impact polystyrene(HIPS)via a bottom-up *** electron microscopy(TEM)images showed that the obtained ANPs were evenly distributed in the HIPS matrix without any *** composition of the ANPs,i.e.,poly(p-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine)(PPTA),was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and X-ray diffractometer(XRD).The ANP/HIPS composites,obtained after ethanol precipitation,were added to neat HIPS as fillers to fabricate ANP/HIPS composite *** surface roughness and the glass transition temperature(T_g)of the sheets were characterized by atomic force microscope(AFM)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),*** with neat HIPS,the mechanical properties of the composite sheet were significantly improved,and the Young's modulus increased from 246.55 MPa to 2025.12 MPa,the tensile strength increased from 3.07 MPa to 29.76 MPa,and the toughness increased from 0.32 N/mm^2 to 3.92 N/mm^2,with an increase rate of 721%,869%and 1125%,***,the thermal stability of the composites improved with the increase in ANP content.

Synergistic Promotion of Electrical, Mechanical and Thermal Properties for Silicone Rubber-based Field Grading Material via Compound Modification

Use of nonlinearconductive SiC/silicone rubber(SR)field grading material(FGM)can improve the local field concentration of composite *** large volume fraction and large-size SiC particles(SiCp)into SR can obtain a good field grading effect,but it is accompanied by the deterioration of mechanical *** SiC with different shapes can solve this *** incorporating one-dimensional SiC whiskers(SiCw)to synergize with granular SiCp,SiC/SR FGM with better field-dependent conductivity,mechanical properties and thermal conductivity than large-size SiCp and large volume fraction filling case can be obtained by using smaller size SiCp and lower filling *** simulations of 500 kv line insulators show that the modified SiC/SR FGM can reduce the maximum field strength along the insulator surface and at sheath-core rod interfaces by 55%and 71.4%,*** combined application of FGM and grading ring can achieve a complementary *** FGM to partially replace the role of the grading rings,the field strength indicators can still meet the operational requirements after the tube radius and shielding depth of the grading rings at both ends are reduced by 36.2%and 40%separately,which is a benefit to alleviating the problems of high weight and large volume faced by traditional field grading methods.

High-temperature lubrication has always been a hot topic in the lubricant and grease industry,and is also an essential concern in the high-end equipment sector to be *** quantum dots(CQDs)are an emerging material widely applied in the field of lubrication,owing to their exceptional lubricity and high load-bearing ***,the vulnerability of CQDs to oxidation in air and reduced stability dramatically restrict their high-temperature application *** this study,a nanocomposite of amphiphilic polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP)homopolymer with excellent lubricating properties and thermal stability,which is hydrogen bonded to CQDs(CQDs@PVP),was designed to achieve low friction and wear of lubricants at high *** CQDs@PVP are consistently dispersed in both PEG400 and water,and exhibit superior lubricity compared to unmodified CQDs at high temperatures(ranging from 200‒150°C and 90‒50°C).Meanwhile,the dense carbon film on the wear surface and the chemically reactive film of iron compounds directly contribute to the enhanced lubrication *** analytical results demonstrate the powerful candidacy of CQDs@PVP as a lubrication additive and promote future high-temperature applications of CQDs in industrial production.

Flexible regulation engineering of titanium nitride nanofibrous membranes for efficient electromagnetic microwave absorption in wide temperature spectrum

Simultaneous development of well impedance matching and strong loss capability has become a mainstream method for achieving outstanding electromagnetic microwave absorption(EMWA)performances over wide temperature ***,it is difficult to pursue both due to the mutual restraint of relationship between impedance matching and loss capability about ***,we propose a flexible regulation engineering of titanium nitride(TiN)nanofibrous membranes(NMs,TNMs),which could be distributed uniformly in the polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)matrix and contributed to the formation of abundant local conductive networks,generating the local conductive loss and enhancing the loss ability of ***,when the TNMs are used as functional units and dispersed in the matrix,the corresponding composites exhibit an outstanding anti-reflection effect on *** hoped,under the precondition of good impedance matching,local conductive loss and polarization loss together improve the loss capacity at room temperature,and polarization loss can compensate the local conductive loss to acquire effective dielectric response at elevated *** from the reasonably synergistic loss ability caused by flexible regulation engineering,the corresponding composites exhibit the perfect EMWA performances in a wide temperature range from 298 to 573 *** work not only elaborates the ponderable insights of independent membrane in the composition-structure-function connection,but also provides a feasible tactic for resolving coexistence of well impedance matching and strong loss capability issues in wide temperature spectrum.

Chiral electron transporting material for circularly polarized organic light-emitting diode

Circularly polarized organic light-emitting diode(CP-OLED) has attracted increasing interest for its efficient ability to generate circularly polarized light directly. So far, many CP-OLEDs were successfully fabricated with chiral emitters or chiral hosts. In this study, a new strategy based on chiral electron transporting layer is proposed to construct CP-OLEDs. A pair of chiral electron transporting materials, 1,3,5-tris((R/S)-4-isopropyl-4,5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl)benzene((R/S)-TOxiPr), are firstly designed and synthesized. The crystalline films of(R/S)-TOxiPr show circularly polarized photoluminescence with photoluminescence dissymmetry factors of-0.067 and +0.041, respectively. The CP-OLEDs based on(R/S)-TOxiPr and three types of achiral emitters all exhibit circularly polarized electroluminescence, showing feasibility and strong versatility of this new strategy. The mechanism is attributed to in-situ electrical excitation instead of simply light filtering of non-circularly polarized light. This work demonstrates a new approach for realizing circularly polarized electroluminescence which may provide a valuable strategy to develop CP-OLEDs.

Brain-inspired dual-pathway neural network architecture and its generalization analysis

In this study, we explored the neural mechanism of global topological perception in the human visual system. We showed strong evidence that the retinotectal pathway in the archicortex of the human brain is responsible for global topological perception, and for modulating the local feature processing in the classical ventral visual pathway. Inspired by this recent cognitive discovery,we developed a novel CogNet architecture to emulate the global-local dichotomy of human visual cognitive mechanisms. The thorough experimental results indicate that the proposed CogNet not only significantly improves image classification accuracies but also effectively addresses the texture bias problem observed in baseline CNN models. We have also conducted mathematical analysis for the generalization gap for general neural networks. Our theoretical derivations suggest that the Hurst parameter, a measure of the curvature of the loss landscape, can closely bind the generalization gap. A larger Hurst parameter corresponds to a better generalization ability. We found that our proposed CogNet achieves a lower test error and attains a larger Hurst parameter,strengthening its superiority over the baseline CNN models further.
