Growth behavior and resource potential evaluation of gas hydrate in core fractures in Qilian Mountain permafrost area, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

The Qilian Mountain permafrost area located in the northern of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is a favorable place for natural gas hydrate formation and enrichment,due to its well-developed fractures and abundant gas sources.Understanding the formation and distribution of multi-component gas hydrates in fractures is crucial in accurately evaluating the hydrate reservoir resources in this area.The hydrate formation experiments were carried out using the core samples drilled from hydrate-bearing sediments in Qilian Mountain permafrost area and the multi-component gas with similar composition to natural gas hydrates in Qilian Mountain permafrost area.The formation and distribution characteristics of multi-component gas hydrates in core samples were observed in situ by X-ray Computed Tomography(X-CT)under high pressure and low temperature conditions.Results show that hydrates are mainly formed and distributed in the fractures with good connectivity.The ratios of volume of hydrates formed in fractures to the volume of fractures are about 96.8%and 60.67%in two different core samples.This indicates that the fracture surface may act as a favorable reaction site for hydrate formation in core samples.Based on the field geological data and the experimental results,it is preliminarily estimated that the inventory of methane stored in the fractured gas hydrate in Qilian Mountain permafrost area is about 8.67×1013 m3,with a resource abundance of 8.67×108 m3/km2.This study demonstrates the great resource potential of fractured gas hydrate and also provides a new way to further understand the prospect of natural gas hydrate and other oil and gas resources in Qilian Mountain permafrost area.

Slow Phase Transition-Induced Scan Rate Dependence of Spin Crossover in a Two-Dimensional Supramolecular Fe(III)Complex

Spin crossover(SCO)is commonly accompanied by a synchronous phase transition.A few phase transitioncoupled SCO compounds have been reported,yet the synergy between SCO and phase transition on different time scales has not been explored.Herein,we report an[Fe(H-5-Cl-thsa-Et)(5-Cl-thsa-Et)]·H2O(1·H2O;H2-5-Cl-thsa-Et=5-chloro-salicylaldehyde ethylthiosemicarbazone)Fe(III)complex that displays a two-dimensional supramolecular structure and SCO behavior above room temperature.Its dehydrated form1 exhibits a two-step spin transition with aplateau in the temperature-dependent magnetization(M−T)curve at room temperature and a 51 K thermal hysteresis loop(Tc↑↓=299/248 K)at a rate of 5 K/min.The improved SCOperformance in 1 could be attributed to the stronger intralayer but weaker interlayer interactions,which is supported by single-crystal structural analysis and density functional theory calculations.Remarkably,complex 1 displays an unusual scan rate-dependent SCO behavior at rates of 0.5−30 K/min,in whichM−T curveplateaus appear at lower scan rates(but vanish at faster scan rates(≥10 K/min).Scan rate-dependent differential scanning calorimetry,powder X-ray diffractometry,timedependent magnetic moment decays,and infrared spectroscopy consistently reveal that the slow structural relaxation is coupled with a slowcrystallographic phase transition,which is the mechanism for the unusual scan rate-dependent SCO.

Technology-assisted ball training systems have become a research hotspot due to their ability to provide quantitative data for guiding athletes to address their areas of improvement.However,traditional tennis training systems still have some limitations;for instance,they are subjective,expensive,heavy,and time-consuming.In this research,an assistant training tennis racket,which consists of arrayed flexible sensors and an inertial measurement unit,has been proposed to comprehensively analyze the representative actions’force and acceleration.Consisting of MXene as the sensitive material and melamine sponge as the substrate(named MMSS),the flexible sensor exhibited an excellent sensitivity of 5.35 kPa^(-1)(1.1-22.2 kPa)due to the formation of a 3D conductive network.Moreover,the sensor retained a high sensitivity of 0.6 k Pa-1in an ultrawide measurement range(22.2-266 kPa).In addition to recognizing the type of hitting action,an artificial intelligence algorithm was introduced to accurately differentiate the five typical motion behaviors with an accuracy rate of 98.2%.This study not only proposes a comprehensive assistant training tennis racket for improving the techniques of tennis enthusiasts but also a new information processing scheme for intelligent sensing and distinction of different movements,which can offer significant application potential in sports big data collection and the Internet of things.

Osteoarthritis(OA)is considered to be a highly heterogeneous disease with progressive cartilage loss,subchondral bone remodeling,and low-grade inflammation.It is one of the world's leading causes of disability.Most conventional clinical treatments for OA are palliative drugs,which cannot fundamentally cure this disease.The stromal vascular fraction(SVF)from adipose tissues is a heterogeneous cell population.According to previous studies,it contains a large number of mesenchymal stem cells,which have been used to treat OA with good therapeutic results.This safe,simple,and effective therapy is expected to be applied and promoted in the future.In this paper,the detailed pathogenesis,diagnosis,and current clinical treatments for OA are introduced.Then,clinical studies and the therapeutic mechanism of SVF for the treatment of OA are summarized.

Electrochromic(EC)materials with a dark-to-transmissive switch have potential applications in optical communications,infrared wavelength detectors for spacecraft,and infrared camouflage coatings.Recently,Yu et al.proposed an innovative low-voltage dark-to-transparent switchable electrochrome based on a donor-acceptor two-dimensional covalent organic framework(COF)material.The compound can be facilely processed in a large-area thin film,which allows for the wide applications in smart displays,windows,and clothing.This work has been published online in Nature Communications on November 2nd,2020.

鸟类多样性是生态保护的重要指标,为进一步了解拉萨市秋季鸟类的多样性组成情况并掌握其居留信息,于2021年秋季在拉萨市的五县三区开展了鸟类多样性的调查,共记录到鸟类12目34科88种。在区系组成上包括古北界鸟类58种、东洋界鸟类5种、广布种鸟类19种、特有种鸟类6种;居留型中留鸟64种、夏候鸟4种,冬候鸟12种、旅鸟8种。从生境和鸟类多样性关系上看,灌木林的鸟类多样性程度最高。拉萨秋季鸟类以雀形目种类占比最大,雁形目鸟类数量最多。濒危和受保护鸟类包括国家一级保护鸟类6种,国家二级保护鸟类10种。中国生物多样性红色名录濒危1种,易危6种,近危8种。被IUCN列为濒危2种,易危2种,近危5种。列入CITES附录Ⅰ的2种,列入附录Ⅱ的11种。

A study on the dynamic spectral indices for SEP events on 2000 July 14 and 2005 January 20

We have studied the dynamic proton spectra for the two solar energetic particle(SEP)events on2000 July 14(hereafter Gle59)and 2005 January 20(hereafter Gle69).The source locations of Gle59 and Gle69 are N22 W07 and N12 W58 respectively.Proton fluxes>30 Me V have been used to compute the dynamic spectral indices of the two SEP events.Our results show that spectral indices of the two SEP events increased more swiftly at early times,suggesting that the proton fluxes>30 Me V might be accelerated particularly by the concurrent flares at early times for the two SEP events.For the Gle69 with source location at N12 W58,both flare site and shock nose are well connected with the Earth at the earliest time.However,only the particles accelerated by the shock driven by eastern flank of the CME can propagate along the interplanetary magnetic field line to the Earth after the flare.For the Gle59 with source location at N22 W07,only the particles accelerated by the shock driven by western flank of the associated CME can reach the Earth after the flare.Our results also show that there was slightly more than one hour during which the proton spectra for Gle69 are softer than that for Gle59 after the flares,suggesting that the shock driven by eastern flank of the CME associated with Gle69 is weaker than the shock driven by the western flank of the CME associated with Gle59.The results support that quasi-perpendicular shock has stronger potential in accelerating particles than the quasi-parallel shock.These results also suggest that only a small part of the shock driven by western flank of the CME associated with the Gle59 is quasi-perpendicular.
