Objective:To evaluate the protective effects of gentiopicroside(GPS)against reactive oxygen species(ROS)-induced NOD-like receptor family,pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)inflammasome activation in endothelial cells,aiming to reduce ***:Eight-week-old male ApoE-deficient mice were randomly divided into 2 groups(n=10 per group):the vehicle group and the GPS treatment *** groups were fed a high-fat diet for 16 ***(40 mg/kg per day)was administered by oral gavage to the GPS group,while the vehicle group received an equivalent volume of the vehicle *** the end of the treatment,blood and aortic tissues were collected for assessments of atherosclerosis,lipid profiles,oxidative stress,and molecular expressions related to NLRP3 inflammasome activation,ROS production,and ***,in vitro experiments on human aortic endothelial cells treated with oxidized low-density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)were conducted to evaluate the effects of GPS on NLRP3 inflammasome activation,pyroptosis,apoptosis,and ROS production,specifically examining the role of the sirtuin 1(SIRT1)/nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)***1 and Nrf2 inhibitors were used to confirm the pathway's ***:GPS treatment significantly reduced atherosclerotic lesions in the en face aorta(P<0.01),as well as in the thoracic and abdominal aortic regions,and markedly decreased sinus lesions within the aortic root(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Additionally,GPS reduced oxidative stress markers and proinflammatory cytokines,including interleukin(IL)-1βand IL-18,in lesion areas(P<0.05,P<0.01).In vitro,GPS inhibited ox-LDL-induced NLRP3 activation,as evidenced by reduced NLRP3(P<0.01),apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD,cleaved-caspase-1,and cleavedgasdermin D expressions(all P<0.01).GPS also decreased ROS production,apoptosis,and pyroptosis,with the beneficial effects being significantly reversed by SIRT1 or Nrf2 ***:GPS exe

Flat electronic bands in condensed matter provide a rich avenue for exploring novel quantum phenomena. Here, we report an optical spectroscopy study of a topological hourglass semimetal Nb_(3)SiTe_(6) with the electric field of the incident light parallel to its crystalline ab-plane. The ab-plane optical conductivity spectra of Nb_(3)SiTe_(6) single crystals exhibit a remarkable peak-like feature around 1.20 eV, which is mainly contributed by the direct optical transitions between the two ab-initio-calculation-derived flat bands along the momentum direction Z–U. Our results pave the way for investigating exotic quantum phenomena based on the flat bands in topological hourglass semimetals.

Tumor metastasis accounts for over 90%of tumor-related deaths,prompting the development of fluorescently labeled tumor-specific molecular imaging agents for differentiating tumors from normal ***,early detection of metastasis lesions by tracking tumor markers alone has proven to be ***,we reported a glycopeptide-based bispecific fluorescence probe(bsProbe)for earlier detection of bladder cancer and *** simultaneously recognition(tumor&tumor microenvironment)and in vivo self-assembly,the tumor accumulation of bsProbe(12.3%ID/g)was obviously increased by∼6 fold compared with that in CXCR4 specific fluorescence probe(sProbe),indicating the obvious advantages of bsProbe over existing tumor metastasis detection ***,bsProbe substantially broadens the tumor diagnosis window and enhances the detection signal to noise ratio(SNR:approximately 9.5),permitting early diagnosis of lung micro-metastasis(∼1 mm),precise identifying of tumor boundaries and micro-tumors in orthotopic tumor *** importantly,bsProbe was demonstrated to distinguish malignant from benign specimen with a specificity of 90.48%and sensitivity of 92.22%in 195 clinical specimens of bladder cancer *** together,this novel synergetic targeting(CD206×CXCR4)strategy provides an attractive method for earlier detection of bladder cancer and metastasis,which might be further extended to the imaging-guided surgery of clinical invisible tumors.

Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of a novel Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy

Effects of solution and aging treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a novel Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy by microalloying rare elements Sc and Er were studied. The results show that solution time has a visible influence on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy. Specifically, as the solution time increases, the area fraction of the residual phase in the alloy decreases, and the shape of the grain becomes more spheroidal and coarser, leading to a decrease in hardness. This is attributed to the dissolution of strengthening phases during the solution treatment, which weakens the solid solution strengthening *** single-stage aging treatment shows an initial increase in strength and hardness of the alloy, followed by a decrease as the aging time is extended, until a steady state is achieved. The optimal single-aging conditions are found to be at 120 ℃ for 24 h, where the alloy exhibits an excellent combination of high strength and good ductility, with an ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of 523 MPa, yield strength(YS) of 482 MPa, and elongation(El)of 1.75%, respectively. Compared to single-stage aging, double-stage aging(120 ℃ for 24 h and then 150 ℃ for 52 h) significantly increases the elongation of the alloy(4.17%), but the UTS reduces to 465.29 MPa, and YS reduces to 410.64 MPa. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) observations disclose that the grain size, the distribution spacing of precipitates along the grain boundary, and the width of the precipitation-free zone(PFZ) all undergo augmentation as the duration of the second stage aging process elongates.

鉴于PVC干燥过程的高能耗特点,把MVR热泵、吸收式热泵及高温热泵等节能技术应用于PVC的干燥过程,在传统干燥工艺的基础上,提出了MVR耦合吸收式热泵及高温热泵2种节能干燥工艺。以热泵系统的性能系数(COP)、干燥过程的能耗及年总成本(ATC)等作为评价指标,对提出的节能干燥工艺进行模拟与优化。研究结果表明,PVC干燥尾气的排烟温度为27℃,传统干燥工艺中约29.8%的低温余热未被利用。与传统干燥工艺相比,MVR耦合溴化锂吸收式热泵干燥工艺能耗降低了27.9%,ATC节省了15.7%。高温热泵系统最有效的循环工质为R718,该干燥工艺要比传统干燥工艺节能52.6%,节省ATC约40.0%,且高温热泵干燥系统的COP要比MVR耦合溴化锂吸收式热泵系统的COP高出4.4,因此高温热泵干燥工艺用于PVC的干燥更具技术和经济优势。

The Tarim River Basin(TRB)is a vast area with plenty of light and heat and is an important base for grain and cotton production in Northwest *** the context of climate change,however,the increased frequency of extreme weather and climate events is having numerous negative impacts on the region's agricultural *** better understand how unfavorable climatic conditions affect crop production,we explored the relationship of extreme weather and climate events with crop yields and *** this research,ten indicators of extreme weather and climate events(consecutive dry days(CDD),min Tmax(TXn),max Tmin(TNx),tropical nights(TR),warm days(Tx90p),warm nights(Tn90p),summer days(SU),frost days(FD),very wet days(R95p),and windy days(WD))were selected to analyze the impact of spatial and temporal variations on the yields of major crops(wheat,maize,and cotton)in the TRB from 1990 to *** three key findings of this research were as follows:extreme temperatures in southwestern TRB showed an increasing trend,with higher extreme temperatures at night,while the occurrence of extreme weather and climate events in northeastern TRB was relatively *** number of FD was on the rise,while WD also increased in recent *** yields were higher in the northeast compared with the southwest,and wheat,maize,and cotton yields generally showed an increasing trend despite an earlier *** correlation of extreme weather and climate events on crop yields can be categorized as extreme nighttime temperature indices(TNx,Tn90p,TR,and FD),extreme daytime temperature indices(TXn,Tx90p,and SU),extreme precipitation indices(CDD and R95p),and extreme wind(WD).By using Random Forest(RF)approach to determine the effects of different extreme weather and climate events on the yields of different crops,we found that the importance of extreme precipitation indices(CDD and R95p)to crop yield decreased significantly over *** well,we found that the importance of the extreme night

BACKGROUND Adult-onset Still's disease(AOSD)is a rare autoinflammatory disease charac-terized by nonspecific symptoms such as fever,rash,sore throat and *** paper reports a clinical case of AOSD successfully treated with Bo’s abdo-minal acupuncture(BAA).CASE SUMMARY We report a 20-year-old man who suffered from cold exposure,presenting with high fever,rash,sore throat,arthralgia,and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate,leukocytosis with neutrophilic predominance,elevated ferritin,elevated C-reactive protein,and negative rheumatoid *** was diagnosed with AOSD based on the Yamaguchi *** treatment with traditional Chinese medi-cine(TCM)decoction and prednisone acetate tablets,there was some alleviation of sore throat,joint and muscle pain,and fever,but he still had persistent low-grade fever,rash,sore throat and *** went to the TCM acupuncture outpatient department to receive *** acupoints Zhongwan(CV12),Xiawan(CV10),0.5 cm below Xiawan(CV10),Qihai(CV6),Guanyuan(CV4),bilateral Qixue(KI13),bilateral Huaroumen(ST24),bilateral Shangfengshidian(AB1)and bilateral Daheng(SP15)were *** 3 months treatment,all symptoms disappeared,and the laboratory examination returned to normal *** did not take glucocorticoids or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs afterwards,and no relapse was observed during the 3-year follow-up *** BAA can be used as a complementary medical approach for treatment of AOSD.
