BACKGROUND Breast cancer is among the most common malignancies *** progress in treatment methods and levels,the overall survival period has been prolonged,and the demand for quality care has *** To investigate the effect of individualized and continuous care intervention in patients with breast *** Two hundred patients with breast cancer who received systemic therapy at The First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University(January 2021 to July 2023)were retrospectively selected as research *** them,134 received routine care intervention(routing group)and 66 received personalized and continuous care(intervention group).Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast(FACT-B)scores,including limb shoulder joint activity,complication rate,and care satisfaction,were compared between both groups after *** SAS and SDS scores were lower in the intervention group than in the routing group at one and three months after *** total FACT-B scores and five dimensions in the intervention group were higher than those in the routing group at three months of *** range of motion of shoulder anteflexion,posterior extension,abduction,internal rotation,and external rotation in the intervention group was higher than that in the routing group one month after *** incidence of postoperative complications was 18.18%lower in the intervention group than in the routing group(34.33%;P<0.05).Satisfaction with care was 90.91% higher in the intervention group than in the routing group(78.36%;P<0.05).CONCLUSION Personalized and continuous care can alleviate negative emotions in patients with breast cancer,quicken rehabilitation of limb function,decrease the incidence of complications,and improve living quality and care satisfaction.

Mechanism study of Cu(Ⅱ) adsorption from acidic wastewater by ultrasonic-modified municipal solid waste incineration fly ash

High concentrations of copper ions(Cu(Ⅱ)) in water will pose health risks to humans and the ecological environment. Therefore, this study aims to utilize ultrasonic-cured modified municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI) fly ash for Cu(Ⅱ) adsorption to achieve the purpose of “treating waste by waste.” The effects of p H, adsorption time, initial concentration, and temperature on the modified MSWI fly ash’s adsorption efficiency were systematically studied in this article. The adsorption performance of the modified MSWI fly ash can be enhanced by the ultrasonic modification. At pH = 2, 3 and 4, the adsorption capacity of the modified MSWI fly ash for Cu(Ⅱ) increased by 2.7, 1.9 and 1.2 times, respectively. Furthermore, it was suggested that the adsorption process of the modified MSWI fly ash can be better simulated by the pseudo-second-order kinetic model, with a maximum adsorption capacity calculated by the Langmuir model of 24.196 mg.g-1. Additionally, the adsorption process is spontaneous,endothermic, and chemisorption-dominated from the thermodynamic studies(ΔH and ΔS > 0, ΔG < 0).Finally, the enhanced adsorption performance of the modified MSWI fly ash for Cu(Ⅱ) may be attributed to electrostatic interaction and chelation effects.

Heat stress induced hepatocyte apoptosis in largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides via IRE1α/TRAF2/ASK1/JNK pathway

Heat stress(HS)has been shown to adversely affect fish livers and can lead to extensive *** investigate the relationship between endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress and HS-induced apoptosis in fish livers,we isolated and cultured primary hepatocytes of largemouth bass,Micropterus salmoides by trypsin method,then established an in-vitro model of liver cells under HS(35℃).The contents of lactic dehydrogenase(LDH)and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)were determined to evaluate the effects of HS on hepatocyte injury and oxidative ***-qPCR was performed to discover the key genes in unfolded protein response(UPR)pathways involved at different HS *** inhibitor 4-PBA and IRE1αinhibitor 4μ8C were used to further investigate the effects of HS on IRE1αapoptosis pathway in *** show that HS led to significant increases in the release of LDH,the content of H2O2,and the expressions of oxidative protein folding genes(ero1αand pdi)under HS,suggesting severe hepatocyte injury and oxidative stress happened in heat-stressed largemouth bass *** continuous activation of IRE1αpathway genes(grp78,grp94,atf6,perk,eif2a,atf4,chop,ire1α,traf2,ask1,jnk1,and jnk2)indicated that HS led significantly to ER *** particular,the mRNA expression levels of ER stress-related genes(grp78,grp94,atf6,perk,ire1α,chop,jnk1,and jnk2)in the high temperature(HT)+4-PBA group and the HT+4μ8C group were significantly down-regulated under *** 4μ8C treatment,the expression levels of apoptosis-related genes(caspase-2,caspase-3,caspase-6,caspase-7,caspase-8,caspase-9,and caspase-10)and LDH content were significantly decreased,whereas the cell survival rate was significantly increased when given 4-PBA or 4μ8C *** findings demonstrate that HS could induce liver apoptosis of largemouth bass through the IRE1αpathway,which may act as a key switch mediating liver apoptosis of largemouth bass under HS.

Aerodynamic optimization of an adaptive flap for next-generation green aircraft

Adaptive,morphing flaps are taking ever-increasing attention in civil aviation thanks to the expected benefits this technology can bring at the aircraft level in terms of high-lift performance improvement and related fuel burnt reduction per *** upon morphing capabilities,it is possible to fix a unique setting for the flap and adapt the flap shape to match the aerodynamic requirements for take-off or *** proper morphed shapes can assure better high-lift performances than those achievable by referring to a conventional ***,standing the unique flap setting for take-off and landing,a dramatic simplification of the flap deployment systems may be *** a consequence of this simplification,the deployment system can be fully hosted in the wing,thus avoiding under-wing nacelles with significantly better aerodynamics and fuel *** first step for a rational design of an adaptive flap consists in defining the target morphed shapes and the unique optimal flap setting in the take-off and landing *** this work,aerodynamic optimization analyses are carried out to determine the best flap setting and related morphed shapes in compliance with the take-off and landing requirements of a reference civil transport *** different initial conditions are adopted to avoid the optimization falling into local optima,thus obtaining four groups of optimal candidate *** comparing each candidate’s performance through 2D and 3D simulations,the optimal configuration has been selected.2D simulations show that the optimal configuration is characterized by a maximum lift increase of 31.92%in take-off and 9.04%in *** to 3D simulations,the rise in maximum lift equals 22.26%in take-off and 3.50%in *** results are finally verified through wind tunnel tests,and the aerodynamic mechanism behind the obtained improvements is explained by carefully analyzing the flow field around the flap.

●AIM:To investigate a pioneering framework for the segmentation of meibomian glands(MGs),using limited annotations to reduce the workload on ophthalmologists and enhance the efficiency of clinical diagnosis.●METHODS:Totally 203 infrared meibomian images from 138 patients with dry eye disease,accompanied by corresponding annotations,were gathered for the study.A rectified scribble-supervised gland segmentation(RSSGS)model,incorporating temporal ensemble prediction,uncertainty estimation,and a transformation equivariance constraint,was introduced to address constraints imposed by limited supervision information inherent in scribble *** viability and efficacy of the proposed model were assessed based on accuracy,intersection over union(IoU),and dice coefficient.●RESULTS:Using manual labels as the gold standard,RSSGS demonstrated outcomes with an accuracy of 93.54%,a dice coefficient of 78.02%,and an IoU of 64.18%.Notably,these performance metrics exceed the current weakly supervised state-of-the-art methods by 0.76%,2.06%,and 2.69%,***,despite achieving a substantial 80%reduction in annotation costs,it only lags behind fully annotated methods by 0.72%,1.51%,and 2.04%.●CONCLUSION:An innovative automatic segmentation model is developed for MGs in infrared eyelid images,using scribble annotation for *** model maintains an exceptionally high level of segmentation accuracy while substantially reducing training *** holds substantial utility for calculating clinical parameters,thereby greatly enhancing the diagnostic efficiency of ophthalmologists in evaluating meibomian gland dysfunction.

Three dimensional discrete element modelling of the conventional compression behavior of gas hydrate bearing coal

To analyze the relationship between macro and meso parameters of the gas hydrate bearing coal(GHBC)and to calibrate the meso-parameters,the numerical tests were conducted to simulate the laboratory triaxial compression tests by PFC3D,with the parallel bond model employed as the particle contact constitutive ***,twenty simulation tests were conducted to quantify the relationship between the macro–meso ***,nine orthogonal simulation tests were performed using four meso-mechanical parameters in a three-level to evaluate the sensitivity of the meso-mechanical ***,the calibration method of the meso-parameters were then ***,the contact force chain,the contact force and the contact number were examined to investigate the saturation effect on the meso-mechanical behavior of *** results show that:(1)The elastic modulus linearly increases with the bonding stiffness ratio and the friction coefficient while exponentially increasing with the normal bonding strength and the bonding radius *** failure strength increases exponentially with the increase of the friction coefficient,the normal bonding strength and the bonding radius coefficient,and remains constant with the increase of bond stiffness ratio;(2)The friction coefficient and the bond radius coefficient are most sensitive to the elastic modulus and the failure strength;(3)The number of the force chains,the contact force,and the bond strength between particles will increase with the increase of the hydrate saturation,which leads to the larger failure strength.

The principle and amelioration of lithium plating in fast-charging lithium-ion batteries

Fast charging is restricted primarily by the risk of lithium（Li） plating,a side reaction that can lead to the rapid capacity decay and dendrite-induced thermal runaway of lithium-ion batteries（LIBs）.Investigation on the intrinsic mechanism and the position of Li plating is crucial to improving the fast rechargeability and safety of ***,we investigate the Li plating behavior in porous electrodes under the restricted transport of Li+.Based on the theoretical model,it can be concluded that the Li plating on the anodeseparator interface（ASI） is thermodynamically feasible and kinetically ***,the prior deposition of metal Li on the ASI rather than the anode-current collector interface（ACI） is verified *** order to facilitate the transfer of Li+among the electrode and improve the utilization of active materials without Li plating,a bilayer asymmetric anode composed of graphite and hard carbon（GH） is *** and simulation results suggest that the GH hybrid electrode homogenizes the lithiated-rate throughout the electrode and outperforms the pure graphite electrode in terms of the rate performance and inhibition of Li *** work provides new insights into the behavior of Li plating and the rational design of electrode structure.

BACKGROUND Epilepsy is a nervous system disease characterized by recurrent attacks,a long disease course,and an unfavorable *** is associated with an enduring therapeutic process,and finding a cure has been *** with epilepsy are predisposed to adverse moods,such as resistance,anxiety,nervousness,and anxiety,which compromise treatment compliance and overall *** To explored the influence of intensive psychological intervention on treatment compliance,psychological status,and quality of life(QOL)of patients with *** The clinical data of 105 patients with epilepsy admitted between December 2019 and July 2023 were retrospectively analyzed,including those of 50 patients who underwent routine intervention(control group)and 55 who underwent intensive psychological intervention(research group).Treatment compliance,psychological status based on the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Depression Scale Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)scores,hope level assessed using the Herth Hope Scale(HHS),psychological resilience evaluated using the Psychological Resilience Scale,and QOL determined using the QOL in Epilepsy-31 Inventory(QOLIE-31)were comparatively *** Treatment compliance in the research group was 85.5%,which is significantly better than the 68.0%of the control *** notable intergroup differences in preinterventional SAS and SDS scores were identified(P>0.05);however,after the intervention,the SAS and SDS scores decreased significantly in the two groups,especially in the research group(P0.05).After 6 months of intervention,the research group showed evidently higher HHS,CD-RISC,tenacity,optimism,strength,and QOLIE-31 scores(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Intensive psychological intervention enhances treatment compliance,psychological status,and QOL of patients with epilepsy.
