Extract of Cycas revoluta Thunb. enhances the inhibitory effect of 5-fluorouracil on gastric cancer cells through the AKT-mTOR pathway

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer is one of the most common and deadly malignancies *** recent medical progress, the 5-year survival rate of gastric cancer is still unsatisfactory. 5-fluorouracil(5-Fu) is one of the first-line antineoplastic treatments for gastric cancer, as it can effectively induce cancer cell ***, the effect of 5-Fu is limited due to drug resistance of the malignant tumor. Previous studies have reported that Sotetsuflavone from Cycas revoluta Thunb. can markedly suppress lung cancer cell proliferation by apoptosis,though its effect on gastric cancer remains *** To investigate the inhibitory effect of Cycas revoluta Thunb. and to determine whether it can overcome gastric cancer cell drug resistance to *** Cell viability was examined to determine whether the natural extract of Cycas revoluta Thunb. induced gastric cancer cell death. The half-maximal effective concentration and the half-maximal lethal concentration were ***-healing and transwell assays were performed to examine gastric cancer cell motility. Clonogenic assays were performed to investigate the synergistic effects of Cycas revoluta Thunb. with 5-Fu, and apoptotic bodies were detected by Hoechst staining. Western blotting was performed to examine the expression of related proteins and to investigate the molecular mechanism of Cycas revoluta Thunb.-induced cancer cell apoptosis. The expressions of proteins, including mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR) and p-AKT, were detected in different combinations of treatments for 48 h, then analyzed by ECL *** Gastric cancer cells were more sensitive to the natural extract of Cycas revoluta Thunb. compared to normal gastric epithelial cells, and the extract effectively inhibited gastric cancer cell migration and invasion. The eligibility criteria,training content,and scope of practice for prescriptive authority for midwives:a modified Delphi study

Optimized macroscopic tribological behavior can be anticipated in metallic glasses(MGs)by cryogenic cycling treatment(CCT),which is attributed to enhanced ***,the intrinsic friction mechanisms of MGs induced by cryogenic rejuvenation are still poorly *** the present study,nanoscopic wear tests were conducted on the Zr-based MGs surface with different CCT cycles using atomic force microscopy(AFM).After CCT treatment with 100 cycles,the MG displays the highest adhesion and ploughing frictions,but significantly improved anti-wear *** tests and molecular dynamics simulations disclose that the increased adhesion is attributed to the dominance of liquid-like regions in the CCT-treated MGs,and the impact of reduced hardness and weak elastic recovery results in the deteriorated ploughing *** enhanced plasticity effectively dissipates the strain from the AFM tip through multiple shear bands and weakens the adhesion during deformation,giving rise to excellent wear *** study elucidates the promoting effect of CCT on the outstanding antiwear performance of MGs,and is helpful for the development of novel alloys.

Morphological Classification of Infrared Galaxies Based on WISE

利用SRV摩擦磨损试验机模拟了潜油螺杆泵采油系统(ESPCP系统)推力球在原油为润滑介质时的摩擦磨损性能,通过不同热处理的GCr15钢球与GCr15钢盘的摩擦磨损性能研究,考察了等离子渗氮GCr15钢代替淬火GCr15钢的可行性;利用X射线散射(XRD)对等离子渗氮GCr15钢表面进行成分分析,考察了以原油为润滑介质时,钢盘的摩擦磨损性能。结果表明,GCr15钢等离子渗氮后在提高表面硬度的同时,其抗磨性能大幅度提高。通过扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和X光电子能谱仪(XPS)对磨斑表面形貌和表面成分进行了分析,表明等离子渗氮层具有更好的抗磨、减摩性能和更高的承载能力。

This paper summarizes the history of tectono magmatic evolution, the types and backgrounds of mineralization prior to the orogenic period of North Qilian Mountains. It points out that: during the process of Paleozoic ocean basin opening and closing, the large scale marine volcanism and massive sulfide deposits controlled by sea floor hydrothermal circulation systems are the two sharpest features in the geological developing history of the orogenic belt, which are also the most two important aspects related to each other and should be given a special attention in the geological studies in the region.
