The use of evidential belief functions for mineral potential mapping in the Nanling belt, South China

In this study, the evidential belief functions （EBFs） were applied for mapping tungsten polymetallic potential in the Nanling belt, South China. Seven evidential layers （e.g., geological, geochemical, and geophysical） related to tungsten polymetallic deposits were extracted from a multi-source geospatial database. The relationships between evidential layers and the target deposits were quantified using EBFs model. Four EBF maps （belief map, disbelief map, uncertainty map, and plausibility map） are generated by integrating seven evidential layers which provide meaningful interpretations for tungsten polymetallic potential. On the final predictive map, the study area was divided into three target zones of high potential, moderate potential, and low potential areas, among which high potential and moderate potential areas accounted for 17.8% of the total area, containing 81% of the total deposits. To evaluate the success rate accuracy, the receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curves and the area under the curves （AUC） for the belief map were calculated. The area under the curve is 0.81 which indicates that the capability for correctly classifying the areas with existing mineral deposits is satisfactory. The results of this study indicate that the EBFs were effectively used for mapping mineral potential and for managing uncertainties asso- ciated with evidential layers.

Mineral Potential Mapping for Tungsten Polymetallic Deposits in the Nanling Metallogenic Belt, South China

The Nanling belt in South China has considerable resources of tungsten polymetallic commodities and is one of the most important metallogenic belts in the world. Data-driven weights-of-evidence （WofE） and fuzzy logic models are used to evaluate the tungsten polymetallic potential of the Nanling belt. Initially, seven ore-controlling factors derived from multi-source geospatial datasets （e.g., geological, geochemical, and geophysical） are used for data integration in the two models. Two mineral potential maps are generated that efficiently predicate the locations of the deposits. The WofE map predicate 81% of the deposits within 13.6% of the study area, whereas the fuzzy logic map predicate 81.5% of the deposits within 13% of the area. The predictive maps are syntheses of spatial association rules, which provide better understanding of those factors that control the distribution of mineralization and trigger eventual exploration work in new areas. Subsequently, in order to evaluate the success rate accuracy, the receiver operating characteristic curves and area under the curves （AUCs） for the two potential maps are constructed. The results show that the AUCs for the WofE and fuzzy logic models are 0.775 7 and 0.840 6, respectively. The higher AUC value for the fuzzy logic model implies that it delineate a greater number of favorable areas compared with the WorE model. Overall, the capabilities of both models for correctly classifying areas with existing mineral deposits are satisfactory.

Study on the PTX Parameters and Fractal Characteristics of Ore-Forming Fluids in the East Ore Section of the Pulang Copper Deposit,Southwest China

In this paper,the east ore section of the Pulang porphyry copper deposit is selected as the research *** micro-thermometer and laser Raman spectroscopic technique are utilized to study the parameters of ore-forming fluids such as pressure,temperature,and *** the meantime,the fractal models,including the perimeter-area(P-A)model and number-size(N-S)model,are introduced to quantify the shape of fluid inclusions,and distinguish the stages of ore-forming fluids,*** results show that the types of fluid inclusions are diversified,namely two-phase liquid-rich type,two-phase vapor-rich type,three-phase CO2-rich type,three-phase halite-bearing type and pure liquid *** fluids of main mineralization stage are characterized by medium-high temperature(170.2–421.4°C),medium-high salinity(9.3 wt.%–33.3 wt.%),and low density(0.73–1.06 g/cm3).With the migration and evolution,the temperature,salinity,and pressure of ore-forming fluids gradually decrease,while the density of fluids *** liquid-phase compositions mainly include H2O,and the vapor-phase compositions consist of H2O,CH4,N2,and CO2,indicating the characteristics of reducing fluids and the mixing of atmospheric *** general,the characteristics of ore-forming fluids in the east ore section are similar to those of the first mining area,suggesting that the ore-forming fluids in the east ore section may not migrate from the first mining *** the east ore section may be a relatively independent metallogenic ***,the fractal analysis results demonstrate that the shape of fluid inclusions formed in the same hydrothermal activity features *** DAPvalues of fluid inclusions in B veins,ED veins,andD veins are 1.04,1.06 and 1.10,respectively,showing a gradually increasing trend from the main stage to the late stage of ***,the shape of fluid inclusions ranging from B veins to D veins becomes increasingly *** also reveals

Ferromagnetism in Fe-doped CuO nanopowder

The Fe-doped CuO nanopowder was synthesized by following the standard solid-state reaction method. The structure and magnetic properties of the Fe-doped CuO nanopowder were investigated. X-ray diffraction spec- tra confirmed the monoclinic structure of CuO and no secondary phase was detected, indicating that the Fe ions were incorporated into CuO. The ferromagnetism in Fe-doped CuO was studied and is believed to originate from the interaction between Fe ions and Cu ions via a super-exchange interaction or F-center mediated exchange interaction.

Topological insulators have important potential for applications in the field of nano/micro-optoelectronic ***,the large dark current seriously hinders the improvement of device *** is an important means to control the physical properties of topological *** this work,we have designed and prepared Bi_(1.3)In_(0.7)Se_(3)*** optoelectronic properties of the individual Bi_(1.3)In_(0.7)Se_(3)nanowire-based photodetector are systematically *** photodetector is very sensitive to broadband wavelength from solar-blind ultraviolet C(254 nm)to near-infrared(1,064 nm),showing superior optoelectrical properties with photoresponsivity of 241.3 A·W^(–1)and detectivity of 1.18×10^(12)Jones at 638 ***,the photodetector demonstrates ultrafast photoresponse characteristics with a photoresponse time of about 770 ns,which is 3 to 6 orders of magnitude lower than other compound semiconductors based on Bi or In reported so *** addition,it also exhibits good polarization sensitivity in a broadband range from ultraviolet C(266 nm)to near-infrared(1,064 nm)and obtained the maximum dichroic ratio is 1.73 at 1,064 *** results suggest that this platform creates new opportunities for the development of low-cost,high-sensitivity,high-speed,and broadband angle-sensitive photodetectors.

Tin,as one of the most important critical metals,has at-tracted great attention worldwide(Jiang et al.,2023,2020).China has the largest amount of tin resources in the world,ac-counting for nearly one-fourth of the world’s total(Jiang et al.,2020;Chen and Sheng,2015).Tin deposits in China mainly occur in the Nanling Range in southern China,the Sanjiang Basin in southwestern China,and the Great Xing’an Range in northeastern China,which account for 98%of the country’s tin resources,whereas tin deposits are relatively rare in north-western China(Ni et al.,2023;Chen et al.,2014,1992).

Coupling Stacking Orders with Interlayer Magnetism in Bilayer H-VSe2

Stacking-dependent magnetism in van der Waals materials has caught intense *** on the first principle calculations,we investigate the coupling between stacking orders and interlayer magnetic orders in bilayer H-VSe *** is found that there are two stable stacking orders in bilayer H-VSe 2,named AB-stacking and A′*** standard DFT framework,the A′B-stacking prefers the interlayer AFM order and is semiconductive,whereas the AB-stacking prefers the FM order and is ***,under the DFT+U framework both the stacking orders prefer the interlayer AFM order and are *** detailedly analyzing this difference,we find that the interlayer magnetism originates from the competition between antiferromagnetic interlayer super-superexchange and ferromagnetic interlayer double exchange,in which both the interlayer Se-4 p z orbitals play a crucial *** the DFT+U calculations,the double exchange is suppressed due to the opened bandgap,such that the interlayer magnetic orders are decoupled with the stacking *** on this competition mechanism,we propose that a moderate hole doping can significantly enhance the interlayer double exchange,and can be used to switch the interlayer magnetic orders in bilayer VSe *** method is also applicable to a wide range of semiconductive van der Waals magnets.

Solar-blind ultraviolet photodetector derived from direct carrier transition beyond the bandgap of CdPS_(3) single crystals

Wide-bandgap semiconductors have demonstrated considerable potential for fabricating solar-blind ultraviolet (SBUV) photodetectors, which are extensively used in both civilian and military applications. Despite this promise, the limited variety of semiconductors with suitable bandgaps hampers the advancement of high-performance SBUV detectors. In this study, we synthesized CdPS_(3) transparent single crystals using the chemical vapor transport (CVT) method. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations suggest that the bandgap of CdPS_(3) decreases as the material’s thickness increases, a finding corroborated by subsequent absorption spectra and photoelectric response measurements. The as-prepared CdPS_(3) nanosheets were employed as channels in photodetectors, demonstrating outstanding photoelectric performance in the solar-blind ultraviolet range (at 254 and 275 nm) with high responsivity (0.3 A/W), high specific detectivity (5.5 × 10^(9) Jones), rapid response speed (2.6 ms/3.4 ms), and exceptionally low dark current (2 pA). It is noteworthy that these nanosheets exhibit almost no sensitivity to 365 nm and visible light irradiation, attributable to the direct carrier transition beyond the broad bandgap in CdPS_(3). Furthermore, high-quality imaging was achieved under different gate voltages using 275 nm ultraviolet light, underscoring the potential of CdPS_(3) as a new material for high-performance SBUV optoelectronic detection.

Warm Compaction Process of P/M Steels by Orthogonal Testing Method

In order to achieve higher density of P/M steels using the die wall lubrication compacting method or powder lubricant in warm compaction process, the influence of different process parameters on the green density of warm compacted samples was studied. According to the orthogonal test method, the authors systematically study the influence of the different compaction pressure, condition of lubrication and compaction temperature on the green density of the sample in the warm compaction process, and put forward the optimal process parameter of warm compaction experiment. It is found that, a high compaction pressure （≥700 MPa）, die wall lubrication combined with a small amount of internal lubricants, and fitting compaction temperature by different condition of lubrication, are the optimal parameters in warm compaction process.
