We analytically study the nonlinear localized gap modes in a one-dimensional atomic chain with uniform atomic mass but two periodically alternating force constants between the nearest neighbors by means ofa quasi-continuum *** model simulates a row of atoms in the direction of a diamond-structure type of crystals or molecular crystals with alternating double and single *** this lattice system,we find that the harmonic plus quartic anharmonic terms of inter-site potential produce a new type of nonlinear localized gap modes with a slightly asymmetry distribution of atomic *** localized gap modes are somewhat different from widely studied localized gap modes with a symmetry atomic displacement distribution in diatomic ion lattices.

BACKGROUND Tofacitinib is an oral Janus kinase(JAK)inhibitor that is currently approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Varicella zoster virus reactivation leading to herpes zoster(HZ)is an adverse effect of this drug;however,recurrent HZ at the same site is a rare clinical *** SUMMARY A 70-year-old female RA patient had undergone 1-year of tofacitinib treatment(10 mg daily).About 1 mo after initiation of oral tofacitinib,she developed blisters on the left flank and abdomen and was diagnosed with HZ;antiviral therapy with acyclovir was ***,5 d prior to presentation at our hospital,erythema and blisters with severe pain recurred at the same *** clustered blisters and bullous were visible on the left lumbar abdomen and perineum,with a pain score of 8(visual analogue scale).Antiviral,nutritional supplement,analgesic and other treatments led to healing but over an atypically long period(approximately 26 d,vs approximately 1 wk).HZ is a common and serious adverse reaction of JAK inhibitors,but it rarely *** patient’s experience of HZ recurrence at the same site,with a wider affected area,more severe pain and longer healing period,is inconsistent with previous *** Same-anatomical site HZ recurrence may occur during oral tofacitinib treatment,with more severe clinical manifestations than in the initial occurrence.

We numerically study the intrinsic localized vibrational modes in a diatomic chain with different masses and alternating force constants between nearest *** model simulates a row of atoms in thedirection of sphalerite-structure *** found that the harmonic and quartic anharmonic terms in the nearest-neighbor interaction potential produce the intrinsic localized modes with frequencies above the optical branch or in the gap of the linear spectrum,the distribution patterns of atom amplitudes are asymmetry with a form of quasi-even-or quasi-odd-parity,and the inclusion of cubic term in the potential lowers the frequencies of the modes and introduces static displacements for the atoms.

The stability of matrix graphite under neutron irradiation and in corrosive environments is crucial for the safe operation of molten salt reactors(MSRs).Raman spectroscopy and a slow positron beam were employed to investigate the effects of He ion irradiation fluences and subsequent annealing on the microstructure and defects of the matrix *** ions with 500 keV energy and fluences ranging from 1.1×10^(15)ions∕cm^(2)to 3.5×10^(17)ions∕cm^(2)were used to simulate neutron irradiation at 300 *** samples with an irradiation fluence of 3.5×10^(16)ions∕cm^(2)were subjected to isochronal annealing at different temperatures(573 K,873 K and 1173 K)for 3 *** Raman results revealed that the D peak gradually increased,whereas the intrinsic G peak decreased with increasing irradiation *** the same irradiation fluence,the D peak gradually decreased,whereas the intrinsic G peak increased with increasing annealing *** positron beam analysis demonstrated that the density or size of irradiation defects(vacancy type)increased with higher irradiation fluence,but decreased rapidly with increasing annealing *** Raman spectral analysis of sample cross sections subjected to high irradiation fluences revealed the emergence of amorphization precisely at the depth where ion damage was most pronounced,whereas the surface retained its crystalline *** and positron annihilation analyses indicated that the matrix graphite exhibited good irradiation resistance to He ions at 300 ***,vacancy-type defects induced by He ion irradiation exhibit poor thermal stability and can be easily removed during annealing.

AIM:To test the effect of autophagy on inflammatory damage resulting from oxidative stress in adult retinal pigment epithelial cell line(ARPE-19).METHODS:ARPE-19 cells were pretreated with 200 and 600μmol/L hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))at various time *** changes of cell morphology,cell viability,reactive oxygen species(ROS)level,autophagic activity,and the inflammatory cytokines(TNFα,IL-6,and TGFβ)were measured at baseline and after treatment with autophagy inducer rapamycin(Rapa)and suppressor wortmannin(Wort)or ***:The levels of ROS,cytokines(TNFα,IL-6,and TGFβ),and autophagic activity were significantly increased in ARPE-19 cells after pretreated with H2O2(all P<0.05)and IL-10 was significantly decreased(P<0.05).By upregulating autophagy,Rapa significantly reduced oxidative stress-induced secretion of pro-inflammatory factors(TNFα and IL-6)and ROS(all P<0.05),yet elevated the production of TGFβ(P<0.05).In contrast,suppression of autophagy through Wort or ATG5 knockdown reduced cell viability,increased cell apoptotic rate,and exacerbated the generation of ROS and inflammatory cytokines(TNFα,IL-6,and TGFβ;all P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Autophagy demonstrates a protective effect on ARPE-19 cell through mitigating oxidative damage and oxidative stress-induced inflammatory *** of autophagy may be a potential way for agerelated macular degeneration.

利用基于密度泛函第一性原理的GGA方法,研究ZnRh2O4的电子结构和光学性质。计算结果表明:ZnRh2O4具有明显的半导体能带结构特征,其带隙宽度为1.084eV,且在费米能级附近的态主要由Rh的4d态构成。ZnRh2O4的静态介电常数为8.215,静态折射率为2.866,介电函数吸收边位于1.0eV附近。在能量为0～8.44eV区域,ZnRh2O4的反射系数随着能量的升高而逐渐增大;随后随能量的增大而逐渐减小;在能量为11.98eV时,达到极小值,然后随能量的增大,再次逐渐增大;在能量为13.762eV时,再次达极大值,随后反射系数陡降;ZnRh2O4的吸收系数的数量级达105cm-1,且吸收主要发生在低能区,其电子能量损失谱的共振峰在14.226eV处,与此能量时反射系数的陡降相对应。
