Objective: Th. aim of th. work des.ribed h.re was.to evaluate th. role of contras.-enh.nced ultras.und (CEUs. in res.ons. evaluation for unres.ctable advanced h.patocellular carcinoma (h.C) treated with.tyros.ne kinas. inh.bitors.(TKIs. plus.anti-programmed cell death.protein-1 (PD-1) antibody th.rapy. Meth.ds. A pros.ective coh.rt of cons.cutive patients.with.h.C wh. received combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody treatment for unres.ctable h.C between January 2022 and October 2022 was.included in th.s.s.udy. Th. patients.underwent unenh.nced ultras.und (Us. and CEUs.examinations.before treatment and at follow-up. Ch.nges.in th. larges. diameters.of th. target tumor on unenh.nced Us.and th. larges. diameters.of th. enh.ncing target tumors.on CEUs.were evaluated. Res.ons. Evaluation Criteria in s.lid Tumors.(RECIs.) vers.on 1.1 with.unenh.nced Us.and magnetic res.nance imaging/computed tomograph. (MRI/CT) and modified RECIs. (mRECIs.) with.CEUs.and CEMRI/CT were us.d to as.es. treatment res.ons.. Res.lts. A total of 24 h.C patients.(23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer s.age C, 62.5%; 29 intrah.patic target tumors. were s.udied. Calculations.of degree of necros.s.in th. target tumors.revealed no s.gnificant differences.between CEUs.and CEMRI/CT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As.for th. differentiation of res.onders.from non-res.onders. th. agreement between RECIs. vers.on 1.1 of unenh.nced Us.and mRECIs.-CEUs.was.poor (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwh.le, th.re was.a h.gh.degree of concordance between mRECIs.-CEUs.and mRECIs.-CEMRI/CT (κ coefficient = 0.812). Conclus.on: CEUs.proved to be s.perior to bas.line Us.and is.comparable to CEMRI/CT in defining treatment outcome for combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody th.rapy. © 2023 World Federation for Ultras.und in Medicine & Biology

Fault movement during earth.uakes.is.a geotech.ical ph.nomenon th.eatening buried pipelines.and with.th. potential to caus. s.vere damage to critical infras.ructures.Th.refore,effective prediction of pipe dis.lacement is.crucial for preventive management s.rategies.Th.s.s.udy aims.to develop a fas.,h.brid model for predicting vertical dis.lacement of pipe networks.wh.n th.y experience faulting.In th.s.s.udy,th. complex beh.vior of s.il and a buried pipeline s.s.em s.bjected to a normal fault is.analyzed by us.ng an artificial neural network(ANN)to generate predictions.th. beh.vior of th. s.il wh.n different parameters.of it are ch.nged.For th.s.purpos.,a finite element model is.developed for a pipeline s.bjected to normal fault dis.lacements.Th. data bank us.d for training th. ANN includes.all th. critical s.il parameters.coh.s.on,internal friction angle,Young’s.modulus.and faulting).Furth.rmore,a math.matical formula is.pres.nted,bas.d on bias.s.and weigh.s.of th. ANN model.Experimental res.lts.s.0}w th.t th. maximum error of th. pres.nted formula is.2.03%,wh.ch.makes.th. propos.d tech.ique efficiently predict th. vertical dis.lacement of buried pipelines.and h.nce,h.lps.to optimize th. upcoming pipeline projects.

Long CoVID,als. known for pos.-acute s.quelae of CovID-19,des.ribes.th. people wh. h.ve th. s.gns.and s.mptoms.th.t continue or develop after th. acute coviD-19 ph.s..Long CovID patients.s.ffer from an inflammation or h.s. res.ons.s.towards.th. virus.approx-imately 4 weeks.after initial infection with.th. s.Rs.CoV-2 virus.and continue for an unch.r-acterized duration.Anyone infected with.CovID-19 before could experience long-CcovID conditions.including th. patients.wh. were infected with.s.Rs.CoV-2 virus.confirmed by tes.s.and th.s. wh. never knew th.y h.d an infection early.People with.long CoviD may experience h.alth.problems.from different types.and combinations.of s.mptoms.over time,s.ch.as.fa-tigue,dys.nea,cognitive impairments.and gas.rointes.inal(Gl)s.mptoms.e.g.,naus.a,vom-iting,diarrh.a,decreas.d or los. of appetite,abdominal pain,and dys.eus.a).Th. critical role of th. microbiome in th.s.
