Garnet lithium lanthanum zirconium oxide(Li7La3Zr2O12,LLZO) is a benchmark solid-state electrolyte（SSE） material receiving considerable attention owing to its high conductivity and chemical stability against Li *** its electro-chemo-mechanical failure mechanisms have been much investigated,the equivocal roles of grain boundary strength and grain size of LLZO remain under-explored,hindering further performance *** we decoupled the effects of grain size and grain boundary strength of polycrystalline LLZO via the combination of electrochemical kinetics and the cohesive zone *** discovered that the disintegration of LLZO is initiated by the accumulation of local displacements,which strongly relates to the changes in both grain size and grain boundary ***,variations in grain boundary strength affect the diffusion and propagation pathways of damage,while the failure of LLZO is determined by the grain *** LLZO grains facilitate transgranular damage under low grain boundary strength,which can alter local chemo-mechanics within the bulk of LLZO,leading to more extensive damage *** results showcase the structure optimization pathways by preferentially controlling the growth of lithium dendrites at grain boundaries and their penetration in garnet-type SSE.

Herein,we fabricate an embedding structure at the interface between Pt nanoparticles （NPs） and CeO2-{100}nanocubes with surface defect sites （CeO2-SDS） through quenching and gas bubbling-assisted membrane reduction *** in-situ substitution of Pt NPs for atomic-layer Ce lattice significantly increases the amount of reactive oxygen species from 133.68μmol/g to 199.44μmol/*** a result,the distinctive geometric structure of Pt/CeO2-SDS catalyst substantially improves the catalytic activity and stability for soot oxidation compared with the catalyst with no quenching process,i.e.,its T50and TOF values are 332°C and 2.915 h-1,*** with the results of experimental investigations and density functional theory calculations,it is unveiled that the unique embedding structure of Pt/CeO2-SDS catalyst can facilitate significantly electron transfer from Pt to the CeO2-{100}support,and induce the formation of interfacial[Ce-Ox-Pt2]bond chains,which plays a crucial role in enhancing the key step of soot oxidation through the dual activation of surface lattice oxygen and molecular *** a fundamental revelation of the interfacial electronic transmission and corresponding modification strategy contributes a novel opportunity to develop high-efficient and stable noble metal catalysts at the atomic level.

BACKGROUND Mild cognitive impairment(MCI)has a high risk of progression to Alzheimer’s *** disease is often accompanied by sleep disorders,and whether sleep disorders have an effect on brain function in patients with MCI is *** To explore the near-infrared brain function characteristics of MCI with sleep *** A total of 120 patients with MCI(MCI group)and 50 healthy subjects(control group)were *** subjects underwent the functional near-infrared spec-troscopy *** baseline data,Mini-Mental State Examination,Montreal Cognitive Assessment scale,fatigue severity scale(FSS)score,sleep parameter,and oxyhemoglobin(Oxy-Hb)concentration and peak time of functional near-infrared spectroscopy test during the task *** relationship between Oxy-RESULTS Compared with the control group,the FSS score of the MCI group was higher(t=11.310),and the scores of Pittsburgh sleep quality index,sleep time,sleep efficiency,nocturnal sleep disturbance,and daytime dysfunction were higher(Z=-10.518,-10.368,-9.035,-10.661,-10.088).Subjective sleep quality and total sleep time scores were lower(Z=-11.592,-9.924).The sleep efficiency of the MCI group was lower,and the awakening frequency,rem sleep latency period,total sleep time,and oxygen desaturation index were higher(t=5.969,5.829,2.887,3.003,5.937).The Oxy-Hb concentration at T0,T1,and T2 in the MCI group was lower(t=14.940,11.280,5.721),and the peak time was higher(t=18.800,13.350,9.827).In MCI patients,the concentration of Oxy-Hb during T0 was negatively correlated with the scores of Pittsburgh sleep quality index,sleep time,total sleep time,and sleep efficiency(r=-0.611,-0.388,-0.563,-0.356).It was positively correlated with sleep efficiency and total sleep time(r=0.754,0.650),and negatively correlated with oxygen desaturation index(r=-0.561)and FSS score(r=-0.526).All comparisons were P<*** Patients with MCI and sleep disorders have lower near-infrared brain function than norm

The stability of matrix graphite under neutron irradiation and in corrosive environments is crucial for the safe operation of molten salt reactors(MSRs).Raman spectroscopy and a slow positron beam were employed to investigate the effects of He ion irradiation fluences and subsequent annealing on the microstructure and defects of the matrix *** ions with 500 keV energy and fluences ranging from 1.1×10^(15)ions∕cm^(2)to 3.5×10^(17)ions∕cm^(2)were used to simulate neutron irradiation at 300 *** samples with an irradiation fluence of 3.5×10^(16)ions∕cm^(2)were subjected to isochronal annealing at different temperatures(573 K,873 K and 1173 K)for 3 *** Raman results revealed that the D peak gradually increased,whereas the intrinsic G peak decreased with increasing irradiation *** the same irradiation fluence,the D peak gradually decreased,whereas the intrinsic G peak increased with increasing annealing *** positron beam analysis demonstrated that the density or size of irradiation defects(vacancy type)increased with higher irradiation fluence,but decreased rapidly with increasing annealing *** Raman spectral analysis of sample cross sections subjected to high irradiation fluences revealed the emergence of amorphization precisely at the depth where ion damage was most pronounced,whereas the surface retained its crystalline *** and positron annihilation analyses indicated that the matrix graphite exhibited good irradiation resistance to He ions at 300 ***,vacancy-type defects induced by He ion irradiation exhibit poor thermal stability and can be easily removed during annealing.

BACKGROUND At present,the incidence of diabetic nephropathy is increasing year by year,and there are many studies on the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy,but it is still not completely *** final pathological result of diabetic nephropathy is mainly glomerular cell fibrosis,and the roles of micro-RNA(miRNA)-29 and DNA methyl transferase(DNMTs)in cell fibrosis have been confirmed in other studies,but there is a lack of relevant research in the kidney at *** To study the potential involvement of miRNA-29a-3p in fibrosis related to diabetic kidney disease(DKD).METHODS The expression of miR-29a-3p,DNMT3A/3B,fibrosis-related molecules,Wnt3a,β-catenin,Janus kinase 2,and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 was assessed in SV40MES13 cells and diabetic mice using quantitative real-time PCR and western ***,the expression changes of fibrosis-related molecules were further analyzed using immunofluorescence and immunohistochemical *** renal pathological changes of DKD in each group were also studied using hematoxylin-eosin and periodate-Schiff reaction *** In both the in vivo and in vitro experiments,it was observed that high glucose induction significantly decreased miR-29a-3p *** a result of this downregulation,DKD-related fibrosis was found to be promoted,as confirmed by elevated expression levels ofα-smooth muscle actin,collagen type I,and ***-29a-3p targets the 3’non-coding regions of DNMT3A and DNMT3B and inhibits their *** of DNMT3A and DNMT3B can reverse the effect of miR-29a-3p downregulation on DKD-related *** MiR-29a-3p can regulate Wnt/β-catenin and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signal pathways by regulating and inhibiting the expression of DNMT3A/3B and thus participate in the inhibition of DKD-related fibrosis.
