Carbon and few-layer MoS2 nanosheets co- modified TiO2 nanocomposites （defined as MoS2-C@TiO2） were prepared through a facile one-step pyrolysis reaction technique. In this unique nanostructure, the TiO2 nanosh- eets with stable structure serve as the backbones, and carbon coating and few-layer MoS2 tightly adhere onto the surface of the TiO2. It needs to be pointed out that the carbon coating improves the overall electronic conductivity and the few-layer MoS2 facilitates the diffusion of lithium ions and offers more active sites for lithium-ion storage. As a result, when evaluated as lithium-ion battery anodes, the MoS2-C@TiO2 nanocomposites exhibit markedly enhanced lithium storage capability compared with pure TiO2. A high specific capacity of 180 mA.h.g-1 has been achieved during the preliminary cycles, and the specific capacity can maintain 160 mA.h.g-1 at a high current density of 1C （1C=167 mA.g-1） even after 300 discharge/ charge cycles, indicating the great potential of the MoS2- C@TiO2 on energy storage.

The correctness of workflow models is one of the major challenges in context of workflow analysis. The aim of this paper is to provide an improved Petri net-based reduction approach for verifying the correctness of workflow models. To the end, how to represent well-behaved building blocks and control structures of business processes by Petri nets is given at first, and then how to build well-structured process nets is presented. According to the structural characteristics of well-structured process nets, a set of legacy reduction rules are improved and extended, and then a complete Petri-net-based verification approach is proposed. The sound ness and the complexity with polynomial time for the improved re duction method are also proven.

Based on oceanic and atmospheric parameters retrieved by satellite remote sensing using a neural network method, air-sea heat fluxes over the western Pacific warm pool area were calculated with the advanced the advanced Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Response Experiment 3.0 (COARE3.0) bulk algorithm method. Then, the average annual and interannual characteristics of these fluxes were analyzed. The rela- tionship between the fluxes and the South China Sea (SCS) summer monsoon onset is highlighted. The results indicate that these fluxes have clear temporal and spatial characteristics. The sensible heat flux is at its maximum in the Kuroshio area, while the latent heat flux is at its maximum in the North Equatorial Current and Kuroshio area. The distribution of average annual air-sea heat fluxes shows that both sensible and latent heat fluxes are maximized in winter and minimized in summer. The air-sea heat fluxes have obvious interannual variations. Correlation analysis indicates a close lag-correlation between air-sea heat fluxes in the western Pacific warm pool area and at the SCS summer monsoon onset. The lagcorrelation can therefore predict the SCS summer monsoon onset, providing a reference for the study of precipitation related to the monsoon.

To overcome the defects of the duration modeling in the homogeneous Hidden Markov Model(HMM)for speech recognition,a duration-distribution-based HMM(DDBHMM)is proposed in this paper based on a formalized definition of a left-to-right inhomogeneous Markov *** has been demonstrated that it can be identically defined by either the state duration or the state transition *** speaker-independent continuous speech recognition experiments show that by only modeling the state duration in DDBHMM,a significant improvement(17.8%error rate reduction)can be achieved compared with the classical *** ideal properties of DDBHMM give promise to many aspects of speech modeling,such as the modeling of the state duration,speed variation,speech discontinuity,and interframe correlation.

In situ synthesized MgAl2O4whiskers reinforced 6061 Al alloy composites were fabricated by a powder metallurgy ***-sized MgAl2O4spinel whiskers distributed uniformly in 6061 Al alloy matrix without any interfacial product and laid along the extrusion direction after hot ***-extruded composite samples were annealed at 530,580,600 and 630℃for 1 h and examined by electron backscattered diffraction to investigate the recrystallization behavior of obtained *** and texture evolution was investigated,and it is found that the recrystallization process is inhibited by whiskers because of Zener *** fibrous grains remain until 630℃,and deformation textures still exist even in specimen annealed at 630℃.Hardness and tensile tests show that the completely recrystallized sample has an ultimate tensile strength of 218 MPa and a hardness of HV52 compared with 283 MPa and HV 69 of the unannealed *** properties of the annealed samples decline slightly with annealing temperature increasing up to 600℃.

Role of TRIM33 in Wnt signaling during mesendoderm differentiation

Tripartite motif 33(TRIM33), a member of the transcription intermediate factor 1(TIF1) family of transcription cofactors,mediates transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β) signaling through its PHD-Bromo cassette in mesendoderm differentiation during early mouse embryonic development. However, the role of the TRIM33 RING domain in embryonic differentiation is less clear. Here, we report that TRIM33 mediates Wnt signaling by directly regulating the expression of a specific subset of Wnt target genes, and this action is independent of its RING domain. We show that TRIM33 interacts with β-catenin, a central player in Wnt signaling in mouse embryonic stem cells(mESCs). In contrast to previous reports in cancer cell lines, the RING domain does not appear to function as the E3 ligase for β-catenin, since neither knockout nor overexpression of TRIM33 had an effect on β-catenin protein levels in mESCs. Furthermore, we show that although TRIM33 seems to be dispensable for Wnt signaling through a reporter assay, loss of TRIM33 significantly impairs the expression of a subset of Wnt target genes, including Mixl1,in a Wnt signaling-dependent manner. Together, our results indicate that TRIM33 regulates Wnt signaling independent of the E3 ligase activity of its RING domain for β-catenin in mESCs.

A simple solvothermal method was used to obtain W-Mo bimetallic oxides from W-Mo alloy scrap,and pure metal powders were also used as the raw materials to simulate *** products had a sea urchin-like structure with abundant oxygen vacancies and the products prepared at low temperatures forms a sosoloid resembling orthorhombic W_(0.4)Mo_(0.6)O_(3).The WMo bimetallic oxide prepared at the reaction temperature of 120℃exhibited excellent selective adsorption performance for methylene blue(MB),which the adsorption rate of MB reached 99%in 12 min and the adsorption rate reached 90%after6 adsorption *** the W-Mo molar ratio is 1:3,the maximum adsorption capacity of sample for MB can reach1148 mg·g^(-1).The adsorption process followed the Langmuir and pseudo-second-order models,which is surface-controlled monolayer *** experimental results show the feasibility of preparing W-Mo bimetal oxide products from pure materials and *** process is simple and effective,which offered a potential approach for secondary resource recycling and reusing.
