Detection in high fidelity of tipping points,the emergence of which is often induced by invisible changes in internal structures or/and external interferences,is paramountly beneficial to understanding and predicting complex dynamical systems(CDSs).Detection approaches,which have been fruitfully developed from several perspectives(e.g.,statistics,dynamics,and machine learning),have their own advantages but still encounter difficulties in the face of high-dimensional,fluctuating ***,using the reservoir computing(RC),a recently notable,resource-conserving machine learning method for reconstructing and predicting CDSs,we articulate a model-free framework to accomplish the detection only using the time series observationally recorded from the underlying unknown CDSs.

The modulation of circularly polarized luminescence(CPL) has become an increasingly prominent area of research. In this study,we propose a unique “one-excitation-to-three-emissions” CPL system through the co-assembly of an upconversion system,incorporating one sensitizer(Pt(II) mesotetraphenyl tetrabenzoporphyrine, Pt TPBP) and two annihilators(R/S-DPA and R/SBDP) within liquid crystals. The chiral nature of the annihilators induces a transformation of the nematic liquid crystal into chiral nematic liquid crystals(N*LC), establishing an excellent chiral matrix. Upon the incorporation of the sensitizer Pt TPBP and subsequent excitation at 635 nm, the system demonstrates two independent triplet–triplet annihilation photon upconversion(TTA-UC) with the emission in blue and yellow, aided by thermally activated triplet–triplet energy transfer(TTET). This is accompanied by the simultaneous generation of upconverting circularly polarized luminescence(UC-CPL) and downshifting near-infrared circularly polarized luminescence(DS-CPL) originating from the residual luminescence of Pt TPBP. Remarkably,fine-tuning the ratio between the two annihilators allows the TTA-UC system to exhibit multicolor CPL emission with an amplified luminescence dissymmetry factor(glum, reaching up to 0.6). Our study unveils a previously unreported “one-excitation-to-three-emissions” system and provides a versatile strategy for modulating CPL emissions, surpassing conventional methodologies.

As the original Global Position System (GPS) data in Floating Car Data have the accuracy problem,this paper proposes a heuristic path-estimating algorithm for large-scale real-time traffic information calculating. It uses the heuristic search method,imports the restriction with geometric operation,and makes comparison between the vectors composed of the vehicular GPS points and the special road network model to search the set of vehicular traveling route candidates. Finally,it chooses the most optimal one according to weight. Experimental results indicate that the algorithm has considerable efficiency in accuracy (over 92.7%) and com-putational speed (max 8000 GPS records per second) when handling the GPS tracking data whose sampling rate is larger than 1 min even under complex road network conditions.

The genesis and resource potential of gold deposits in the Liaodong Peninsula

Plenty of gold deposits related to Late Mesozoic craton destruction are widely distributed in eastern North china Craton. However, significant differences in research degrees, ore-forming characteristics, and proven reserves exist among different regions in the North china Craton. The Liaodong Peninsula has similar regional geological characteristics to those of the Jiaodong Peninsula, with both experiencing craton destruction during Late Mesozoic, but the two areas have substantial differences in terms of gold mineralization and the proven gold resources. Based on regional geology, Mesozoic magmatictectonic evolution and ore geology, combined with integrated geophysical exploration and big data AI resource prediction, in this paper, we propose that the ore-forming materials of Late Mesozoic gold deposits in Liaodong were mainly originated from mantle-derived melts and/or fluids induced by craton destruction. The gold deposits were primarily controlled by NE-NNEtrending faults, mainly classified as fracture-controlled altered rock-type and sulfide-bearing quartz vein-type. Moreover, our study predicts that the Yalu River fault zone and its related secondary faults, as well as the periphery and deeper parts of known goldfields, are the important regions for future gold resource exploration. The Yalu River metallogenic belt has an enormous potential for gold resources, and the Liaodong Peninsula has a potential to add thousands of tons of gold resources.

The optimum planning of industrial pollutant sources, which optimizes the economic object without violating environmental constraints, is an important and hard task to be conquered. In this paper, an adjoint method is developed to solve the problem. The penalty function is in-troduced to deal with the environmental inequality constraints, and Lagrange function is con-structed to derive the adjoint equation and the gradient of the object function. In this means, the gradient of the object function can be calculated by solving the adjoint equation, and the infor-mation from the gradient is used to make the object function descend and approach to an optimal solution after some iterations. A two-dimensional, simplified model is used for numerical experi-ments. The theoretical derivations are verified by the results of the experiments. Furthermore, the adjoint method is shown to be of excellent convergence and efficiency, which is adaptive to the fast development of air quality numerical models and super computers.
