Low thermal conductivity,compatible thermal expansion coefficient,and good calcium–magnesium–aluminosilicate(CMAS)corrosion resistance are critical requirements for environmental barrier coatings used on silicon-based ***2Si2O7(RE=rare earth)has been widely recognized as one of the most promising candidates for environmental barrier coatings due to its good water vapor corrosion ***,the relatively high thermal conductivity and poor resistance to CMAS corrosion have limited its practical *** by the high entropy effect,in this work,a novel rare earth disilicate(Lu_(_(1/7))yb_(_(1/7))Sc_(_(1/7))Er_(_(1/7))y_(_(1/7))Ho_(_(1/7))Dy_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7((7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7)has been designed and synthesized by a solid reaction process.(7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7 showed a low thermal conductivity of 1.81 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1)at 1273 ***,the thermal expansion coefficient of(7RE_(_(1/7)))_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)(4.07×10^(−6)℃^(−1)from room temperature(RT)to 1400℃)is close to that of the SiC-based ceramic matrix composites(SiC-CMCs)((4.5–5.5)×10^(−6)℃^(−1)).Additionally,(7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7 exhibited excellent resistance to CMAS *** exposed to CMAS at 1300℃for 48 h,the reaction layer thickness was 22μ*** improved performance of(7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7 highlights its potential as a promising candidate for thermal/environmental barrier coatings.

Extra-pair paternity(EPP)is commonly found in socially monogamous birds,especially in small passerine birds,and there are interspecific and intraspecific variations in the extent of *** Chestnut-vented nuthatch(Sitta nagaensis)is a socially monogamous passerine bird,and verify.ng whether this species has EPP relies on parentage *** is not known to have *** this study,we developed SnP markers of this species that are informative for parentage analysis from double digest restriction site-associated DnA sequencing(ddRAD-seq)data.A panel consisting of 50 SnP markers,with a mean heterozygosity of 0.343,was used to resolve 95% of nestlings to *** combined exclusion probabilities for the first parent and second parent were 0.991 and 0.9999,*** panel of SnP markers is a powerful tool for parentage assignments in *** addition,we found that three offspring(7.9%)from three nests(23.1%)were the result of extra-pair fertilization out of 38 offspring in 13 *** study provided information on parentage analysis that has not been reported before in *** also supplemented the understudied EPP behavior of birds in Asia,contributing to a general understanding of the EPP behaviors of birds.

Precise construction of RuPt dual single-atomic sites to optimize oxygen electrocatalytic behaviors for high-performance Zn-air batteries

The development of redox bifunctional electrocatalysts with high performance,low cost,and long lifetimes is essential for achieving clean energy *** study proposed an atom capture strategy for anchoring dual single atoms（DSAs） in a zinc-zeolitic imidazolate framework（Zn-ZIF）,followed by calcination under an n2atmosphere to synthesize ruthenium-platinum DSAs supported on a nitrogendoped carbon substrate（RuPt DSAs-nC）.Theoretical calculations showed that the degree of Ru 5dxz-*O 2pxorbital hybridization was high when*O was adsorbed at the Ru site,indicating enhanced covalent hybridization of metal sites and oxygen ligands,which benefited the adsorption of intermediate *** presence of the RuPtn6active center optimized the absorption-desorption behavior of intermediates,improving the electrocatalytic performance of the oxygen reduction reaction（ORR） and the oxygen evolution reaction（DER）,RuPt DSAs-nC exhibited a 0.87 V high half-wave potential and a 268 mV low overpotential at 10 mA cm-2in an alkaline ***,rechargeable zinc-air batteries（ZABs）achieved a peak power density of 171 MW *** RuPt DSAs-nC demonstrated long-term cycling for up to 500 h with superior round-trip *** study provided an effective structural design strategy to construct DSAs active sites for enhanced electrocata lytic performance.

Actinidia chinensis polysaccharide interferes with the epithelial-mesenchymal transition of gastric cancer by regulating the nuclear transcription factor-κB pathway to inhibit invasion and metastasis

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the mechanisms of the effect of Actinidia chinensis polysaccharide(ACPS) on the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer ***: BGC-823-Luc gastric cancer cells stably transfected with a luciferase gene were used to establish an insitutransplanted tumor mouse model. A live mouse imaging system was used to observe tumor growth, and hematoxylin and eosin staining was applied to analyze tissue histopathology. Transwell and scratch wound assays were performed to examine the invasive and migratory ability of BGC-823 cells. Immunofluorescence,confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot assays were used to analyze the expressions of the nuclear transcription factor-κB(nF-κB)signaling pathway and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)-related ***: ACPS significantly inhibited the growth of subcutaneously transplanted BGC-823-Luc gastric cancer tumors in nude mice and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration in tumor tissues. ACPS inhibited Epidermal Growth Factor-induced invasion, migration, and morphological changes in the cytoskeleton of BGC-823cells. ACPS inhibited gastric cancer EMT and decreased the expression of matrix metallopeptidase 9, n-cadherin and p-nF-κB p65 in transplanted tumor tissues. ACPS inhibited the expression of matrix metalloproteinases and vascular adhesion factors in BGC-823 cells, promoted p65-nF-κB nuclear translocation, and regulated proteins associated with the nF-κB p65 ***: ACPS inhibited gastric cancer invasion and metastasis both in vivo and in vitro, which evidenced the inhibition of gastric cancer EMT via regulating the nF-κB inflammatory pathway.

Decellularised extracellular matrix-based injectable hydrogels for tissue engineering applications

Decellularised extracellular matrix (dECM) is a biomaterial derived from natural tissues that has attracted considerable attention from tissue engineering researchers due to its exceptional biocompatibility and malleability attributes. These advantageous properties often facilitate natural cell infiltration and tissue reconstruction for regenerative medicine. Due to their excellent fluidity, the injectable hydrogels can be administered in a liquid state and subsequently formed into a gel state in vivo, stabilising the target area and serving in a variety of ways, such as support, repair, and drug release functions. Thus, dECM-based injectable hydrogels have broad prospects for application in complex organ structures and various tissue injury models. This review focuses on exploring research advances in dECM-based injectable hydrogels, primarily focusing on the applications and prospects of dECM hydrogels in tissue engineering. Initially, the recent developments of the dECM-based injectable hydrogels are explained, summarising the different preparation methods with the evaluation of injectable hydrogel properties. Furthermore, some specific examples of the applicability of dECM-based injectable hydrogels are presented. Finally, we summarise the article with interesting prospects and challenges of dECM-based injectable hydrogels, providing insights into the development of these composites in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. © 2024, Chinese Medical Multimedia Press Co Ltd. n-doping offering higher photodegradation performance of dissolved black carbon for organic pollutants: experimental and theoretical studies

We investigated the influence mechanism of n-doping for dissolved black carbon(DBC)photodegradation of organic *** degradation performance of n-doped dissolved black carbon(nDBC)for tetracycline(TC)(71%)is better than that for methylene blue(MB)(28%)under *** levels are both better than DBC degradation performances for TC(68%)and MB(18%)under *** species quenching experiments suggest that h and-O,are the main reactive species for nDBC photodegraded TC,while-OH and h*are the main reactive species for nDBC photodegraded MB.-OH is not observed during DBC photodegradation of *** is likely because n-doping increases valence-band(VB)energy from 1.55 eV in DBC to 2.04 eV in nDBC;the latter is strong enough to oxidize water to ***,n-doping increases the DBC band gap of 2.29 to 2.62 eV in nDBC,resulting in a higher separation efficiency of photo-generated electrons-holes in nDBC than in *** these factors give nDBC stronger photodegradation performance for TC and MB than ***-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS)characterization and toxicity evaluation with the quantitative structure-activity relationship(QSAR)method suggest that TC photodegradation intermediates produced by.nDBC have less aromatic structure and are less toxic than those produced by *** adopted a theoretical approach to clarify the relationship between the surface groups of nDBC and the photoactive species *** results add to the understanding of the photochemical behavior of nDBC.

The surface properties of oxidic supports and their interaction with the supported metals play critical roles in governing the catalytic activities of oxide‐supported metal *** metals are supported on reducible oxides,dynamic surface reconstruction phenomena,including strong metal–support interaction(SMSI)and oxygen vacancy formation,complicate the determination of the structural–functional relationship at the active ***,we performed a systematic investigation of the dynamic behavior of Au nanocatalysts supported on flame‐synthesized TiO_(2),which takes predominantly a rutile phase,using CO oxidation above room temperature as a probe *** analysis conclusively elucidated a negative correlation between the catalytic activity of Au/TiO_(2) and the oxygen vacancy at the Au/TiO_(2) *** the reversible formation and retracting of SMSI overlayers have been ubiquitously observed on Au/TiO_(2) samples,the catalytic consequence of SMSI remains *** functional theory suggests that the electron transfer from TiO_(2) to Au is correlated to the presence of the interfacial oxygen vacancies,retarding the catalytic activation of CO oxidation.

Design and simulation investigations on charge transport layers‑free in lead‑free three absorber layer all‑perovskite solar cells

The multiple absorber layer perovskite solar cells(PSCs)with charge transport layers-free(CTLs-free)have drawn widespread research interest due to their simplified architecture and promising photoelectric *** the circumstances,the novel design of CTLs-free inversion PSCs with stable and nontoxic three absorber layers(triple Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9),single MASnI_(3),double Cs_(2)TiBr_(6))as optical-harvester has been numerically simulated by utilizing wxAMPS simulation software and achieved high power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 14.8834%.This is owing to the innovative architecture of PSCs favors efficient transport and extraction of more holes and the slender band gap MASnI_(3)extends the absorption spectrum to the near-infrared periphery compared with the two absorber layers architecture of ***,the performance of the device with p-type-Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9)/p-type-MASnI_(3)/n-type-Cs_(2)TiBr_(6)architecture is superior to the one with the p-type-Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9)/ntype-MASnI_(3)/n-type-Cs_(2)TiBr_(6)architecture due to less carrier recombination and higher carrier life time inside the absorber *** simulation results reveal that Cs_(2)TiF_(6)double perovskite material stands out as the best ***,an excellent PCE of 21.4530%can be obtained with the thicker MASnI_(3)absorber layer thickness(0.4μm).Lastly,the highestperformance photovoltaic devices(28.6193%)can be created with the optimized perovskite doping density of around E15 cm^(3)(Cs_(3)Bi_(2)I_(9)),E18 cm^(3)(MASnI_(3)),and 1.5E19 cm^(3)(Cs_(2)TiBr_(6)).This work manifests that the proposed CTLs-free PSCs with multi-absorber layers shall be a relevant reference for forward applications in electro-optical and optoelectronic devices.
