Photodynamic therapy(PDT)has emerged as a significant cancer therapy ***,cation-based organic small molecule aggregation-induced emission(AIE)photosensitizers(PSs)attract the wide atten-tion of many scientists,due to improved reactive oxygen species(ROS)production after ***,such PSs tend to localize only the mitochondria,limiting the death way of tumor cells(usu-ally apoptosis)during PDT process,which may affect the therapeutic effect under some ***,we designed a novel water-soluble three positive charge PS,TPAN-18F,which could be distributed uniformly in cell cytoplasm and had distribution in different sub-organelles(mitochondria,endoplasmic reticulum,lysosome).The experimental results showed that TPAN-18F-based PDT process can not only disrupt mitochondrial functions(reducing ATP production and destroying mitochondrial membrane po-tential),but also elevate the intracellular lipid peroxides(LPOs)level,which evoke the non-apoptotic death manner of tumor ***,in vivo studies showed that TPAN-18F-based PDT could effectively inhibit tumor ***,we believe that the construction of TPAN-18F is suggestive for tumor non-apoptotic therapy.

The elastic transmission eigenvalue problem is fundamental to the qualitative methods for inverse scattering involving penetrable obstacles. Although simply stated as a coupled pair of elastodynamic wave equations, the elastic transmission eigenvalue problem is neither self-adjoint nor elliptic. The aim of this work is to provide a systematic spectral approximation analysis for the VEM of the elastic transmission eigenvalue problem with equal elastic tensors. Considering standard assumptions on polygonal/polyhedral meshes, we prove the stability analysis of the associated VEM bilinear forms, which shall be applied to the well-defined property of the discrete solution *** the correct approximation of spectrum for the proposed VEM scheme is proven. Necessitated by supporting the convergence analysis, a series of numerical examples are reported. In addition, some negative points of the current VEM scheme are considered, including the locking phenomenon and the influence of VEM stabilization parameters. Thanks to the flexibility of construction for the VEM space, the locking-free and stabilization-free VEM approaches are utilized to tackle with these negative aspects.

Rapid analysis of metal ions and organic compounds in strong acidic solutions is of sustainable interest in multiple ***,complicated and time-consuming pretreatments are always required for MS analysis of the compounds in strong acidic ***,it will result in a weak signal and cause serious damage to the mass ***,a simple method inherited from nano-ESI MS was developed for rapid analysis of strong acidic ***(nL)strong acidic solution was first loaded in the nano-ESI emitter,followed by evaporation to remove the H+and leave the analytes on the wall of the nano-ESI *** evaporation process can be completed within 1 min because of the extremely tiny volume(≤1 nL)of the loaded ***,the dried analytes on the wall of the nano-ESI emitter were redissolved by loading a new solvent,followed by nano-ESI MS *** using this method,metal ions and organic compounds in the strong acidic solution can be detected with low sample consumption(1 nL),high speed(sensitivity(limit of detection=0.2µg/L),and high accuracy(>90%).Proof-of-concept applications of the present method have been successfully achieved for the analysis of gastric juice(pH of the sample=1),monitoring reaction catalyzed by strong acid(pH of the system=0),and micro-area analysis of ores(pH of the extraction solvent=0),showing great application potential in multiple fields.

The important supporting component in a gas turbine is the casing,which has the characteristics of large size,complex structure,and thin *** the context of existing 3DP sand casting processes,casting crack defects are prone to *** leads to an increase in the scrap rate of casings,causing significant resource ***,the presence of cracks poses a significant safety hazard after the casings are put into *** generation of different types of crack defects in stainless steel casings is closely related to casting stress and the high-temperature concession of the sand ***,the types and causes of cracks in stainless steel casing products,based on their structural characteristics,were systematically *** sand molds with different internal topology designs were printed using the 3DP technology to investigate the impact of sand mold structures on high-temperature *** optimal sand mold structure was used to cast casings,and the crack suppression effect was verified by analyzing its eddy current testing *** experimental results indicate that the skeleton structure has an excellent effect on suppressing cracks in the *** research holds important theoretical and engineering significance in improving the quality of casing castings and reducing production costs.

A highly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment(TME)and the presence of the blood‒brain barrier are the two major obstacles to eliciting an effective immune response in patients with high-grade glioma(HGG).Here,we tried to enhance the local innate immune response in relapsed HGG by intracranially injecting poly(I:C)to establish a robust antitumor immune response in this registered clinical trial(NCT03392545).During the follow-up,12/27(44.4%)patients who achieved tumor control concomitant with survival benefit were regarded as responders in our *** found that the T-cell receptor(TCR)repertoire in the TME was reshaped after poly(I:C)*** on the RNA-seq analysis of tumor samples,the expression of annexin A1(ANXA1)was significantly upregulated in the tumor cells of nonresponders,which was further validated at the protein *** vitro and in vivo experiments showed that ANXA1 could induce the production of M2-like macrophages and microglia via its surface receptor formyl peptide receptor 1(FPR1)to establish a Treg cell-driven immunosuppressive TME and suppress the antitumor immune response facilitated by poly(I:C).The ANXA1/FPR1 signaling axis can inhibit the innate immune response of glioma patients by promoting an anti-inflammatory and Treg-driven ***,ANXA1 could serve as a reliable predictor of response to poly(I:C),with a notable predictive accuracy rate of 92.3%.In light of these notable findings,this study unveils a new perspective of immunotherapy for gliomas.

BACKGROUND Acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding is a common medical emergency that has a 10%hospital mortality *** to the etiology,this disease can be divided into acute varicose veins and nonvaricose *** from esophageal varices is a life-threatening complication of portal *** hypertension is a clinical syndrome defined as a portal venous pressure that exceeds 10 *** is the most common cause of portal hypertension,and thrombosis of the portal system not associated with liver cirrhosis is the second most common cause of portal hypertension in the Western *** myeloproliferative disorders are the main cause of portal venous thrombosis,and somatic mutations in the Janus kinase 2 gene(JAK2 V617F)can be found in approximately 90% of polycythemia vera,50% of essential thrombocyrosis and 50% of primary *** SUMMARY We present a rare case of primary myelofibrosis with gastrointestinal bleeding as the primary manifestation that presented as portal-superior-splenic mesenteric vein *** blood tests revealed the presence of the JAK2 V617F *** marrow biopsy ultimately confirmed the diagnosis of myelofibrosis(MF-2 grade).CONCLUSION In patients with acute esophageal variceal bleeding due to portal hypertension and vein thrombosis without cirrhosis,the possibility of myeloproliferative neoplasms should be considered,and the JAK2 mutation test should be performed.

Tribological properties and tribomechanism of nickel nanoparticles in-situ synthesized in rapeseed oil

Nickel(Ni)nanoparticles can be enriched on the surface of iron-based frictional pairs,which provides the possibility to get rid of the competitive adsorption between the polar species of vegetable oil and the surface-active nano-additives *** this paper,nickel acetylacetonate was used as a precursor to in-situ synthesize nickel nanoparticles with an average diameter of about 12 nm in rapeseed oil(RO)as the reducing agent,surface modifier,and solvent as *** tribological properties of the as-synthesized Ni nanoparticles were evaluated with a four-ball tribometer,and their tribomechanism was investigated based on the characterizations of the tribofilm on rubbed steel surfaces by the scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).It was found that the Ni nanoparticles in-situ prepared in the RO with a mass fraction of 0.3%can reduce the wear scar diameter(WSD)of the steel ball by 36%.This is because,on the one hand,the Ni nanoparticles are adsorbed on the rubbed steel surfaces to repair or fill up the micro-pits and grooves *** the other hand,Ni nanoparticles participate in tribochemical reactions with atmospheric O and steel substrate to form the tribochemical reaction film on the rubbed steel surfaces with the assistance of friction-induced heat and applied normal *** addition,an amorphous carbon film is formed on the rubbed surface via the carbonization of base oil under the catalysis of Ni *** adsorbed Ni layer,the tribochemical reaction film,and the carbon layer comprise a composite tribofilm composed of amorphous carbon,polar fatty acid,metallic nickel,iron oxides,and nickel oxides on the rubbed steel surfaces,which contributes to significantly improving the antiwear ability and load-carrying capacity of the RO for the steel-steel sliding pair.

Stress tolerance plays a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness of piezoresistive sensing films used in flexible pressure ***,existing methods for enhancing stress tolerance employ dome-shaped,wrinkle-shaped,and pyramidal-shaped microstructures in intricate molding and demolding processes,which introduce significant fabrication challenges and limit the sensing *** address these shortcomings,this paper presents periodic microslits in a sensing film made of multiwalled carbon nanotubes and polydimethylsiloxane to realize ultrahigh stress tolerance with a theoretical maximum of 2.477 MPa and a sensitivity of 18.092 kPa−*** periodic microslits permit extensive deformation under high pressure(e.g.,400 kPa)to widen the detection ***,the periodic microslits also enhance the sensitivity based on simultaneously exhibiting multiple synapses within the sensing interface and between the periodic sensing *** proposed solution is verified by experiments using sensors based on the microslit strategy for wind direction detection,robot movement sensing,and human health *** these experiments,vehicle load detection is achieved for ultrahigh pressure sensing under an ultrahigh pressure of over 400 kPa and a ratio of the contact area to the total area of 32.74%.The results indicate that the proposed microslit strategy can achieve ultrahigh stress tolerance while simplifying the fabrication complexity of preparing microstructure sensing films.
