Joint Optimization Scheme Based on Beam Selection and Interference Cancellation in Lens Millimeter Wave NOMA Systems

Non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)has been integrated in millimeter-wave(mmWave)Massive MIMO systems to further enhance the spectrum efficiency, but NOMA has not been fully considered in lens mmWave systems. The fusion of these two technologies requires the joint design of beam selection and interference cancellation. In addition, when users follow the spatial cluster distribution, although the user clustering schemes based on K-means algorithm have been applied, the influence of the virtual and actual cluster center users on achievable sum rate has not been differentiated and analyzed in detail. To solve the above problems, a joint optimization scheme is proposed to maximize the achievable sum rate. The optimization problem is NP-hard, which is solved by using the divide-and-conquer approach. Concretely,based on the signal power loss analysis of directional deviation, a beam selection algorithm is designed for inter-cluster interference cancellation based on the Kmeans algorithm. Further for intra-cluster interference cancellation, a power allocation algorithm based on the bisection method is designed to guarantee the fairness of users in each cluster. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme offers a significant performance improvement in terms of both achievable sum rate and energy efficiency, and it is suitable for the large-scale user scenario due to its low complexity.

Recently,satellite imagery has been widely applied in many areas.However,due to the limitations of hardware equipment and transmission bandwidth,the images received on the ground have low resolution and weak texture.In addition,since ground terminals have various resolutions and real-time playing requirements,it is essential to achieve arbitrary scale super-resolution(SR)of satellite images.In this paper,we propose an arbitrary scale SR network for satellite image reconstruction.First,we propose an arbitrary upscale module for satellite imagery that can map low-resolution satellite image features to arbitrary scale enlarged SR outputs.Second,we design an edge reinforcement module to enhance the highfrequency details in satellite images through a twobranch network.Finally,extensive upsample experiments on WHU-RS19 and NWPU-RESISC45 datasets and subsequent image segmentation experiments both show the superiority of our method over the counterparts.

Objective:To determine the effects of berberine(BBR) on the activation of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4),nuclear factor(NF) κB(NF-κB) signaling and NLRP3 inflammasome in patients with gout.Methods:Peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) were obtained from 24 acute(AP) and 41 non-acute(NAP) phases of primary gout patients,respectively,as well as 30 healthy controls(HC).TLR4,NF-κB(p65),NLRP3,apoptosis-associated specklike protein containing a CARD(PYCARD),cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-1(CASP1),and interleukin-1 β(IL-1 β) mRNA expression levels in PBMCs were measured by quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction.The protein levels of TLR4,myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88),NF-κB(p50/65),inhibitor of kappa B kinase α/β(IKKα/β),NF-κB inhibitor α(IKB α),phospho-IKKα/β(p-IKKα/β),NLRP3,PYCARD,and CASP1were monitored by Western blotting.Serum IL-1 β protein level was measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).In addition,PBMCs from HC and macrophages derived from a spontaneously immortalized monocyte-like cell line(THP-1) were stimulated using monosodium urate(MSU,100 μ g/mL),0.1% dimethyl sulfoxide,25 μmol/L BBR,and 10,25,and 50 μmol/L BBR+100 μg/mL MSU for different time periods.The protein levels of IL-1β and IL-18 in cell culture supernatants was measured by ELISA,and the protein expressions of TLR4,MyD88,NF-κB(p50/p65),IKK α/β,IκBα,p-IKKα/β,NLRP3, PYCARD,and CASP1 in macrophages were analyzed by Western blotting.Results:(1) TLR4,NF-κB(p65),PYCARD,CASP1,and IL-1β mRNA levels in PBMCs were significantly higher in the AP group than in the HC group(P<0.05).The NLRP3 mRNA expression levels in PBMCs were found to be significantly lower in the AP and NAP groups than in the HC group(P<0.05,P<0.01).(2) The protein levels of TLR4,IKKβ,MyD88,NF-κB,p-IKKα/β,PYCARD,and CASP1 in PBMCs were significantly higher,and those of IκBα,IKKα,and NLRP3 were found to be significantly lower in the AP group than in the HC group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).(3) The serum IL-1β protein levels were significantly

Diabetic retinopathy, characterized as a microangiopathy and neurodegenerative disease, is the leading cause of visual impairment in diabetic patients. Many clinical features observed in diabetic retinopathy, such as capillary occlusion, acellular capillaries and retinal non-perfusion, aggregate retinal ischemia and represent relatively late events in diabetic retinopathy. In fact, retinal microvascular injury is an early event in diabetic retinopathy involving multiple biochemical alterations, and is manifested by changes to the retinal neurovascular unit and its cellular components. Currently, intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy is the firstline treatment for diabetic macular edema, and benefits the patient by decreasing the edema and improving visual acuity. However, a significant proportion of patients respond poorly to anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatments, indicating that factors other than vascular endothelial growth factor are involved in the pathogenesis of diabetic macular edema. Accumulating evidence confirms that low-grade inflammation plays a critical role in the pathogenesis and development of diabetic retinopathy as multiple inflammatory factors, such as interleukin-1β, monocyte chemotactic protein-1 and tumor necrosis factor-α, are increased in the vitreous and retina of diabetic retinopathy patients. These inflammatory factors, together with growth factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor, contribute to blood-retinal barrier breakdown, vascular damage and neuroinflammation, as well as pathological angiogenesis in diabetic retinopathy, complicated by diabetic macular edema and proliferative diabetic retinopathy. In addition, retinal cell types including microglia, Müller glia, astrocytes, retinal pigment epithelial cells, and others are activated, to secrete inflammatory mediators, aggravating cell apoptosis and subsequent vascular leakage. This paper focuses on term-status pair extraction from medical dialogues(MD-TSPE),which is essential in diagnosis dia-logue systems and the automatic scribe of electronic medical records(EMRs).In the past few years,works on MD-TSPE have attracted increasing research attention,especially after the remarkable progress made by generative methods.However,these generative methods output a whole sequence consisting of term-status pairs in one stage and ignore integrating prior knowledge,which demands a deeper un-derstanding to model the relationship between terms and infer the status of each term.This paper presents a knowledge-enhanced two-stage generative framework(KTGF)to address the above challenges.Using task-specific prompts,we employ a single model to com-plete the MD-TSPE through two phases in a unified generative form:We generate all terms the first and then generate the status of each generated term.In this way,the relationship between terms can be learned more effectively from the sequence containing only terms in the first phase,and our designed knowledge-enhanced prompt in the second phase can leverage the category and status candidates of the generated term for status generation.Furthermore,our proposed special status"not mentioned"makes more terms available and en-riches the training data in the second phase,which is critical in the low-resource setting.The experiments on the Chunyu and CMDD datasets show that the proposed method achieves superior results compared to the state-of-the-art models in the full training and low-re-sourcesettings.

DGMP: Identifying Cancer Driver Genes by Jointing DGCN and MLP from Multi-omics Genomic Data

Identification of cancer driver genes plays an important role in precision oncology research,which is helpful to understand cancer initiation and progression.However,most existing computational methods mainly used the protein–protein interaction(PPI)networks,or treated the directed gene regulatory networks(GRNs)as the undirected gene–gene association networks to identify the cancer driver genes,which will lose the unique structure regulatory information in the directed GRNs,and then affect the outcome of the cancer driver gene identification.Here,based on the multi-omics pan-cancer data(i.e.,gene expression,mutation,copy number variation,and DNA methylation),we propose a novel method(called DGMP)to identify cancer driver genes by jointing directed graph convolutional network(DGCN)and multilayer perceptron(MLP).DGMP learns the multi-omics features of genes as well as the topological structure features in GRN with the DGCN model and uses MLP to weigh more on gene features for mitigating the bias toward the graph topological features in the DGCN learning process.The results on three GRNs show that DGMP outperforms other existing state-of-the-art methods.The ablation experimental results on the Dawn Net network indicate that introducing MLP into DGCN can offset the performance degradation of DGCN,and jointing MLP and DGCN can effectively improve the performance of identifying cancer driver genes.DGMP can identify not only the highly mutated cancer driver genes but also the driver genes harboring other kinds of alterations(e.g.,differential expression and aberrant DNA methylation)or genes involved in GRNs with other cancer genes.The source code of DGMP can be freely downloaded from https://***/NWPU-903PR/DGMP.

Triclosan(TCS)has been manufactured as an antibacterial compound for half a century.Currently,it is widely used in various personal care products;however,its potential adverse effects raise a lot of attention.Here,we create a long-term oral administration mouse model and identify the corresponding hepatotoxicity of TCS.We discover that daily intragastric administration of 10 mg/kg TCS to mice for 12 weeks results in severe hepatic fibrosis.Further study displays that hepatic iron increased 18%,23%and 29%upon oral TCS treatment for4,8 and 12 weeks,respectively.Accompanied by hepatic iron variation,splenic and duodenal iron are increased,which indicates systemic iron disorder.Not only excessive iron accumulated in the liver,abnormal hepatic malondialdehyde,prostaglandin synthase 2 and glutathione peroxidase 4 are pointed to ferroptosis.Additional study uncovers that hepcidin expression increases 7%,10%,4%in serum and 2.4-,4.8-,and 2.3-fold on transcriptional levels upon TCS exposure for 4,8 and 12 weeks,individually.Taken together,the mice in the TCS-treated group show disordered systemic iron homeostasis via the upregulated hepatic hepcidin-ferroportin axis.Meanwhile,both hepatic iron overload(systemic level)and hepatocyte ferroptosis(cellular level)are accused of TCS-induced liver fibrosis.Ferriprox■,an iron scavenger,significantly ameliorates TCS-induced liver fibrosis.In summary,this study confirms the impact of TCS on liver fibrosis;a critical signal pathway is also displayed.The significance of the current study is to prompt us to reevaluate the“pros and cons”of TCS applications.

Immune escape mechanisms in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)can disrupt every step of the anti-cancer immune response.In recent years,an increased understanding of the specific mechanisms fueling immune escape has allowed for the development of numerous immunotherapeutic treatments that have been introduced into the clinical practice.The advent of immunotherapy has dramatically changed the current treatment landscape of advanced or metastatic NSCLC because of its durable efficacy and manageable toxicity.In this review,we will first present a brief overview of recent evidence on immune escape mechanisms in NSCLC.We will then discuss the current promising immunotherapeutic strategies in advanced or metastatic NSCLC tumors.
