IM To study the clinical significance of the diagnosis and catheterized interventional treatment of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for pancreatic tumors.METHODS Ninetytwo patients with pancreatic tumor, 69 males and 23 females, aged from 41 to 70 years (mean 571 years) were diagnosed with DSA. Sixtyone patients with pancreatic cancer were treated with transcatheter celiac and superior mesenteric arterial anticancer agents (MMC 20mg, EADM 40mg and 5FU 20g) infusion (TCSAI).RESULTS The DSA diagnoses were confirmed by operations and pathological examinations, with a coincidence 826% rate of, and a therapeutic effective rate of 426%.CONCLUSION DSA is of diagnostic value for pancreatic tumors, and helpful in understanding the course of the disease, judging the prognosis and selecting the therapeutic regimen, and could improve the chemotherapeutic effect as well..

Ret finger protein(RFP) is a member of the tripartite motif family, which is characterized by a conserved RING finger of motif, a B-box, and a coiled-coil domain(they are called RBCC generally). Although RFP was known to be an oncogene when its RBCC moiety was connected with a tyrosine kinase domain by DNA rearrangement, its biological function was not well defined. In this study, by using real-time RT-PCR, the RFP expressions in human and mouse normal tissues, and in the cervical squamous cell carcinoma, endometrial adenocarcinoma, gastric adenocarcinoma, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and brain cancer tissues were analyzed. The result of the study proved that the highest level of mRNA reverse transcription appeared in the normal testical tissue, whereas that in other normal tissues of human and mice were low. The mRNA reverse transcription level of RFP was higher in the endometrial adenocarcinoma tissue than in the cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissue; the mRNA reverse transcription level of RFP in the gastric adenocarcinoma tissue was significantly higher than that in the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissue. It was also found that the mRNA reverse transcription level of RFP in the brain cancer tissue was higher than that in the normal brain tissue. These results suggested that RFP could possibly be a useful molecular target for the development of new therapeutics for malignant tumors.

In 1999, Diexi paleo-dammed lake(2349 m a.s.l.) was discovered around Diexi town along the minjiang River in Sichuan province. Diexi is located where the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau and the Sichuan Basin meet. The dammed lake was formed during the Last Glacial Maximum of the Late Pleistocene(~30,000 years ago) and began to empty about 15,000 years ago. The lacustrine sediments(up to 240 m thick) preserve abundant paleoenvironment information. In this paper, a mass of oxygen isotopes and 14 C dating from drilled cores are analyzed and discussed. The δ18 O curve on the paleo climate from this section is comparable with the coeval paleo climatic curves of ice cores and karsts in China and others. Furthermore, the physical model testing has confirmed that the disturbed zones in the core are caused by strong earthquakes occurred at least 10 times, which implies strong crustal deformation, as an important driving force, affecting climate change. This study provides a new window to observe East Asian monsoon formation, paleoenvironmental evolution and the global climate change.
