Resilient performance of self-centering hybrid rocking walls with curved interface under pseudo-static loading

Frame and rocking wall(FRW)structures have excellent resilient performance during ***,the concrete at interfacial corners of rocking walls(RWs)is easily crushed due to local extreme compression during the rocking *** innovative RW with a curved interface is proposed to prevent interfacial corners from producing local damage,enhancing its earthquake resilient performance(ERP).The precast wall panel with a curved interface is assembled into an integral self-centering hybrid rocking wall(SCRW)by two post-tensioned unbonded prestressed ***,two ordinary energy dissipation steel rebars and two shear reinforcements are arranged to increase the energy dissipation capacity and lateral *** SCRW specimens and one monolithic reinforced concrete(RC)shear wall(SW)were tested under pseudo-static loading to compare the ERPs of the proposed SCRW and the SW,focusing on studying the effect of the curved interface on the *** key resilient performance of rocking effects,failure modes,and hysteretic properties of the SCRW were *** results show that nonlinear deformations of the SCRW are concentrated along the interface between the SCRW and the foundation,avoiding damage within the *** restoring force provided by the prestressed tendons can effectively realize self-centering capacity with small residual deformation,and the resilient performance of the SCRW is better than that of monolithic *** addition,the curved interface of the SCRW makes the rocking center change and move inward,partially relieving the stress concentration and crush of *** rocking range of the rocking center is about 41.4%of the width of the SCRW.

The double-layer NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2)/Ni-Zn-Al_(2)o_(3) coatings with sufficient corrosion and wear resistance were prepared on low carbon steel *** intermediate layers Ni-Zn-Al_(2)o_(3) were fabricated by using low-pressure cold spray (LPCS) method to improve the salt fog corrosion resistance properties of the supersonic plasma spray (SPS) NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2) *** friction and wear performance for the double-layer and single-layer NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2) coatings were carried out by line-contact reciprocating sliding,*** with the coating surface analysis techniques,the effect of the salt fog corrosion on the tribological properties of the double-layer coatings was *** results showed that the double-layer coatings exhibited better wear resistance than that of the single-layer coatings,due to the better corrosion resistance of the intermediate layer;the wear mass losses of the double-layer coatings was reduced by 70%than that of the single layer coatings and the wear mechanism of coatings after salt fog corrosion conditions is mainly corrosion wear.

Simulating the Escaping Atmosphere of GJ 436 b with Two-fluid Magnetohydrodynamic Models

observations of transmission spectra reveal that hot Jupiters and Neptunes are likely to possess escaping atmospheres driven by stellar *** models predict that magnetic fields may exert significant influences on the atmospheres of hot ***,the escaping atmospheres are not entirely ionized,and magnetic fields only directly affect the escape of ionized components within *** the chemical reactions between ionized components and neutral atoms,as well as collision processes,magnetic fields indirectly impact the escape of neutral atoms,thereby influencing the detection signals of planetary atmospheres in transmission *** order to simulate this process,we developed a magnetohydrodynamic multi-fluid model based on MhD code *** an initial exploration,we investigated the impact of magnetic fields on the decoupling of h^(+)and h in the escaping atmosphere of the hot Neptune *** to the strong resonant interactions between h and h^(+),the coupling between them is tight even if the magnetic field is *** course,alternatively,our work also suggests that merging h and h^(+)into a single flow can be a reasonable assumption in MhD simulations of escaping ***,our simulation results indicate that under the influence of magnetic fields,there are noticeable regional differences in the decoupling of h^(+)and *** the increase of magnetic field strength,the degree of decoupling also *** heavier particles such as o,the decoupling between o and h^(+)is more *** findings provide important insights for future studies on the decoupling processes of heavy atoms in the escaping atmospheres of hot Jupiters and hot Neptunes under the influence of magnetic fields.

Numerical evaluations on the fluid production in the in-situ conversion of continental shale oil reservoirs

In-situ conversion presents a promising technique for exploiting continental oil shale formations,characterized by highly fractured organic-rich rock. A 3D in-situ conversion model, which incorporates a discrete fracture network, is developed using a self-developed thermal-flow-chemical(TFC) *** of the model elucidates the in-situ conversion process in three stages and defines the transformation of fluids into three distinct outcomes according to their end stages. The findings indicate that kerogen decomposition increases fluid pressure, activating fractures and subsequently enhancing permeability. A comprehensive analysis of activated fracture permeability and heating power reveals four distinct production modes, highlighting that increasing heating power correlates with higher cumulative fluid production. Activated fractures, with heightened permeability, facilitate the mobility of heavy oil toward production wells but hinder its cracking, thereby limiting light hydrocarbon ***, energy efficiency research demonstrates the feasibility of the in-situ conversion in terms of energy utilization, especially when considering the surplus energy from high-fluctuation energy sources such as wind and solar power to provide heating.

Recently,Lee et *** the experimental discovery of room-temperature ambient-pressure super-conductivity in a Cu-doped lead-apatite(LK-99)(arXiv:2307.12008,arXiv:2307.12037).Remarkably,the claimed superconductivity can persist up to 400 K at ambient *** the experimental im-plication,the electronic structure of LK-99 has not yet been ***,we investigate the electronic structures of LK-99 and its parent compound using first-principles calculations,aiming to elucidate the doping effects of *** results reveal that the parent compound Pb_(10)(Po_(4))_(6)o is an insulator,while Cu doping induces an insulator-metal transition and thus volume *** band structures of LK-99 around the Fermi level are featured by a half-filled flat band and a fully-occupied flat *** two very flat bands arise from both the 2p orbitals of 1/4-occupied o atoms and the hybridization of the 3d orbitals of Cu with the 2p orbitals of its nearest-neighboring o ***,we observe four van hove singularities on these two flat ***,we show that the flat band structures can be tuned by including electronic correlation effects or by doping different *** find that among the considered doping elements(Ni,Cu,Zn,Ag,and Au),both Ni and Zn doping result in the gap opening,whereas Au exhibits doping effects more similar to Cu than *** work establishes a foundation for fu-ture studies to investigate the role of unique electronic structures of LK-99 in its claimed superconducting properties.

highly Differentiated Target Detection under Extremely Low-Light Conditions Based on Improved YoLoX Model

26-electrons redox-active polyoxovanadate clusters for aqueous zincion batteries

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)are attaining increasing attention for their high safety and low *** significant progresses in realizing high-performance cathode material for ZIBs,simultaneously endowing them with high capacity and fast-charging capability,the long-term cycling stability remains a major unsolved *** this work,a polyoxovanadate cluster of(Nh_(4))_(8)[V_(19)o_(41)(oh)_(9)]·11h_(2)o(NoV)is defined as a cathode material for ZIBs that contains mixed-valence vanadium sites(V^(4+)and V^(5+)).A maximum of 26 electrons can be accommodated in one[V_(19)o_(41)(oh)_(9)]^(8-){V_(19)o_(50)}cluster,contributing to the high theoretical specific capacity of 328 mA·h·g^(-1).The Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene nanosheets are incorporated into NoV with the help of ionic liquid(IL)linkers to restrain the dissolution of vanadium species and facilitate electron transport across the *** interfacial bonding,anion exchange,and electrostatic interactions among NoV and MXene are provided by IL *** nanohybrid of NoV-IL-MXene endows excellent contact between MXene and NoV,thereby enhanced charge transfer is observed at ***,the as-synthesized NoV-IL-MXene cathodes exhibit high discharge capacity of 413 mA·h·g^(-1) at 0.2 A·g^(-1) even at high mass loading of 5.2 mg·cm^(-2),remarkable rate performance of 182 mA·h·g^(-1) at 10 A·g^(-1),and impressive cycling stability of 94%capacity retention after 2000 *** work opens up new opportunities to develop advanced polyoxovanadate hybrid cathodes for low-cost and high-performance aqueous ZIBs.
