Efficacy of Biejiajian Pill on Intestinal Microbiota in Patients with Hepatitis B Cirrhosis/Liver Fibrosis:A Randomized Double-Blind Controlled Trial

Objective:To analyze the efficacy of Biejiajian Pill(BJJP)on intestinal microbiota in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis/liver fibrosis,and explore its relationship with liver ***:This was a prospective,randomized double-blind controlled *** the stratified block randomization method,35 patients with hepatitis B liver cirrhosis/liver fibrosis were randomly assigned(1:1)to receive entecavir(0.5 mg/d)combined with BJJP(3 g/time,3 times a day)or placebo(simulator as control,SC group,simulator 3 g/time,3 times a day)for 48 *** and stool samples were collected from patients at baseline and week 48 of treatment,*** and renal functions as well as hematological indices were *** samples were analyzed by 16S rDNA V3-V4 high-throughput sequencing,and intestinal microbiota changes in both groups before and after treatment were compared,and their correlations with liver fibrosis were ***:Compared with the SC group,there was no significant difference in liver function,renal function and hematology indices in the BJJP group,however,the improvement rate of liver fibrosis was higher in the BJJP group(94.4%vs.64.7%,P=0.041).Principal coordinate analysis(PCoA)based on weighted Unifrac distance showed significant differences in intestinal microbiota community diversity before and after BJJP treatment(P<0.01 and P=0.003),*** 48 weeks'treatment,the abundance levels of beneficial bacteria(Bifidobacteria,Lactobacillus,Faecalibacterium and Blautia)increased,whereas the abundance levels of potential pathogenic bacteria,including Escherichia coli,Bacteroides,Ruminococcus,Parabacteroides and Prevotella decreased,among which Ruminococcus and Parabacteroides were significantly positively correlated with degree of liver fibrosis(r=0.34,P=0.04;r=0.38,P=0.02),*** microbiota in the SC group did not change significantly throughout the whole process of ***:BJJP had a certain regulatory effe

Numerical simulation study on the hygrothermal performance of building exterior walls under dynamic wind-driven rain condition

Wind-driven rain(WDR)has a significant influence on the hygrothermal performance,durability,and energy consumption of building *** calculation of WDR loads using semi-empirical models has been incorporated into the boundary conditions of coupled heat and moisture transfer ***,prior research often relied on fixed WDR absorption ratio,which fail to accurately capture the water absorption characteristics of porous building materials under rainfall ***,this study aims to investigate the coupled heat and moisture transfer of exterior walls under dynamic WDR boundary conditions,utilizing an empirically obtained WDR absorption ratio model based on field *** developed coupled heat and moisture transfer model is validated against the HAMSTAD *** findings reveal that the total WDR flux calculated with the dynamic WDR boundary is lower than that obtained with the fixed WDR boundary,with greater disparities observed in orientations experiencing higher WDR *** variations in moisture flow significantly impact the surface temperature and relative humidity of the walls,influencing the calculation of cooling and heating loads by different *** to the transient heat transfer model,the coupled heat and moisture transfer model incorporating dynamic WDR boundary exhibits maximum increases of 17.6%and 16.2%in cooling and heating loads,*** dynamic WDR boundary conditions provide more precise numerical values for surface moisture flux,offering valuable insights for the thermal design of building enclosures and load calculations for HVAC systems.

A multiscale adaptive framework based on convolutional neural network: Application to fluid catalytic cracking product yield prediction

Since chemical processes are highly non-linear and multiscale, it is vital to deeply mine the multiscale coupling relationships embedded in the massive process data for the prediction and anomaly tracing of crucial process parameters and production indicators. While the integrated method of adaptive signal decomposition combined with time series models could effectively predict process variables, it does have limitations in capturing the high-frequency detail of the operation state when applied to complex chemical processes. In light of this, a novel Multiscale Multi-radius Multi-step Convolutional Neural Network(Msrt Net) is proposed for mining spatiotemporal multiscale information. First, the industrial data from the Fluid Catalytic Cracking(FCC) process decomposition using Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise(CEEMDAN) extract the multi-energy scale information of the feature subset. Then, convolution kernels with varying stride and padding structures are established to decouple the long-period operation process information encapsulated within the multi-energy scale data. Finally, a reconciliation network is trained to reconstruct the multiscale prediction results and obtain the final output. Msrt Net is initially assessed for its capability to untangle the spatiotemporal multiscale relationships among variables in the Tennessee Eastman Process(TEP). Subsequently, the performance of Msrt Net is evaluated in predicting product yield for a 2.80 × 10～6 t/a FCC unit, taking diesel and gasoline yield as examples. In conclusion, Msrt Net can decouple and effectively extract spatiotemporal multiscale information from chemical process data and achieve a approximately reduction of 30% in prediction error compared to other time-series models. Furthermore, its robustness and transferability underscore its promising potential for broader applications.

Viscoacoustic generalized screen propagator in constant-Q model

When seismic waves propagate through the geological formation, there is a significant loss of energy and a decrease in imaging resolution, because of the viscoacoustic properties of subsurface medium. This profoundly impacts seismic wavefield propagation, imaging and interpretation. To accurately image the true structure of subsurface medium, the consensus among geophysicists is to no longer treat subsurface medium as ideal homogeneous medium, but rather to incorporate the viscoacoustic properties of subsurface medium. Based on the generalized screen propagator using conventional acoustic wave equation(acoustic GSP), our developed method introduces viscoacoustic compensation strategy, and derives a one-way wave generalized screen propagator based on time-fractional viscoacoustic wave equation(viscoacoustic GSP). In numerical experiments, we conducted tests on two-dimensional multi-layer model and the Marmousi model. When comparing with the acoustic GSP using the acoustic data, we found that the imaging results of the viscoacoustic GSP using the viscoacoustic data showed a significant attenuation compensation effect, and achieved imaging results for both algorithms were essentially consistent. However, the imaging results of acoustic GSP using viscoacoustic data showed significant attenuation effects, especially for deep subsurface imaging. This indicates that we have proposed an effective method to compensate the attenuated seismic wavefield. Our application on a set of real seismic data demonstrated that the imaging performance of our proposed method in local areas surpassed that of the conventional acoustic GSP. This suggests that our proposed method holds practical value and can more accurately image real subsurface structures while enhancing imaging resolution compared with the conventional acoustic GSP. Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)is considered to be one of the most promising additive manufacturing technologies for producing components with geometries and high geometrical precision that are unattainable by traditional *** superalloy exhibits exceptional mechanical and high-temperature performances,rendering it a prime candidate for advanced aero-engine *** the high demand for LPBF-manufactured superalloys,the superalloy is one of the materials manufactured difficultly by LPBF due to their large laser absorptivity fluctuation,poor molten pool stability and sharp temperature ***,superalloys are characterized by severe pores,undesirable coarse columnar grains and poor mechanical *** this work,the effect of nano-TiN particles on defects,molten pool characteristics and microstructure and performance of the composites were *** 4.5 wt%TiN/Haynes230 samples exhibited exceptional nanohardness and elastic modulus with maximum values reaching 5.53 GPa and 240.03 GPa,*** superior mechanical properties were attributed to the combined effects of spatter and gas pore inhibition,grain refinement and duplex nanophases ***,the stability of molten pool was enhanced,and spatter was effectively suppressed by adding nano-TiN particles,while grain refinement and columnar to equiaxed transitions were ***,the matrix exhibited a high dislocation density due to a significant hindrance of dislocation movement caused by massive nano-phases(e.g.,TiN and M_(23)C_(6)),resulting in the formation of extensive dislocation tangles and *** work offers novel insights into the role of nanoparticles reinforced superalloy composites by LPBF.

Cross-species transmission and host range genes in poxviruses

The persistent epidemic of human mpox, caused by mpox virus (MPXV), raises concerns about the future spread ofMPXV and other poxviruses. MPXV is a typical zoonotic virus which can infect human and cause smallpox-likesymptoms. MPXV belongs to the Poxviridae family, which has a relatively broad host range from arthropods tovertebrates. Cross-species transmission of poxviruses among different hosts has been frequently reported andresulted in numerous epidemics. Poxviruses have a complex linear double-strand DNA genome that encodeshundreds of proteins. Genes related to the host range of poxvirus are called host range genes (HRGs). This reviewbriefly introduces the taxonomy, phylogeny and hosts of poxviruses, and then comprehensively summarizes thecurrent knowledge about the cross-species transmission of poxviruses. In particular, the HRGs of poxvirus aredescribed and their impacts on viral host range are discussed in depth. We hope that this review will provide acomprehensive perspective about the current progress of researches on cross-species transmission and HRGvariation of poxviruses, serving as a valuable reference for academic studies and disease control in the future.

Dendritic tip selection during solidification of alloys:Insights from phase-field simulations

The effect of undercooling DT and the interface energy anisotropy parameter e4 on the shape of the equiaxed dendritic tip has been investigated by using a quantitative phase-field model for solidification of binary *** was found that the tip radius r increases and the tip shape amplitude coefficient A4 decreases with the increase of the fitting range for all *** dendrite tip shape selection parameter sdecreases and then stabilizes with the increase of the fitting range,and sincreases with the increase of *** relationship between sand e4 follows a power-law function sµea 4,and a is independent of DT but dependent on the fitting *** results demonstrate that the predicted sis consistent with the curve of microscopic solvability theory(MST)for e4<0.02,and sobtained from our phase-field simulations is sensitive to the undercooling when e4 is fixed.

Numerical and experimental study on the falling film flow characteristics with the effect of co-current gas flow in hydrogen liquefaction process

Liquid hydrogen storage and transportation is an effective method for large-scale transportation and utilization of hydrogen energy. Revealing the flow mechanism of cryogenic working fluid is the key to optimize heat exchanger structure and hydrogen liquefaction process(LH2). The methods of cryogenic visualization experiment, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are conducted to study the falling film flow characteristics with the effect of co-current gas flow in LH2spiral wound heat *** results show that the flow rate of mixed refrigerant has a great influence on liquid film spreading process, falling film flow pattern and heat transfer performance. The liquid film of LH2mixed refrigerant with column flow pattern can not uniformly and completely cover the tube wall surface. As liquid flow rate increases, the falling film flow pattern evolves into sheet-column flow and sheet flow, and liquid film completely covers the surface of tube wall. With the increase of shear effect of gas-phase mixed refrigerant in the same direction, the liquid film gradually becomes unstable, and the flow pattern eventually evolves into a mist flow.

To better understand the failure behaviours and strength of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks,large scale extensive laboratory experiments are carried out on blocky rock-like specimens with and without rockbolt *** results show that both shear failure and tensile failure along joint surfaces are observed but the shear failure is a main controlling factor for the peak strength of the rock mass with and without *** rockbolts are necked and shear deformation simultaneously happens in bolt reinforced rock *** the joint dip angle increases,the joint shear failure becomes more *** number of rockbolts has a significant impact on the peak strain and uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),but little influence on the deformation modulus of the rock *** the Winkler beam model to represent the rockbolt behaviours,an analytical model for the prediction of the strength of boltreinforced blocky rocks is *** agreement between the UCS values predicted by proposed model and obtained from experiments suggest an encouraging performance of the proposed *** addition,the performance of the proposed model is further assessed using published results in the literature,indicating the proposed model can be used effectively in the prediction of UCS of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks.
