Cu cluster embedded porous nanofibers for high-performance CO_(2) electroreduction

Metal-doped carbon materials, as one of the most important electrocatalytic catalysts for CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR), have attracted increasing attention. Herein, a series of Cu cluster embedded highly porous nanofibers have been prepared through the carbonization of electro-spun MOF/PAN *** obtained Cu cluster doped porous nanofibers possessed fibrous morphology, high porosity, conductivity, and uniformly dispersed Cu clusters, which could be applied as promising CO_(2)RR catalysts. Specifically, best of them, MCP-500 exhibited high catalytic performance for CO_(2)RR, in which the Faradaic efficiency of CO(FECO) was as high as 98% at-0.8 V and maintained above 95% after 10 h continuous electrocatalysis. The high performance might be attributed to the synergistic effect of tremendously layered graphene skeleton and uniformly dispersed Cu clusters that could largely promote the electron conductivity, mass transfer and catalytic activity during the electrocatalytic CO_(2)RR process. This attempt will provide a new idea to design highly active CO_(2)RR electrocatalyst.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have showed high promise in CO_(2)-electroreduction, yet their generally insufficient conductivity or low electron-transfer efficiency have largely restricted the wide-spread applications. Herein, fullerene molecules(i.e., C60and C70) have been successfully introduced into the pore-channels of a Co-porphyrin based MOF through a facile strategy. Thus-obtained hybrid materials present higher electron-transfer ability, enhanced CO_(2)adsorption-enthalpy and CO_(2)electroreduction activity. Notably, the charge transfer resistance(Rct) of C60@MOF-545-Co is almost 5 times lower of than that of MOF-545-Co, as well as 1.5 times increased for the CO_(2)adsorption enthalpy. As expect, the FECO of C60@MOF-545-Co(97.0%) is largely higher than MOF-545-Co(70.2%), C60@MOF-545(19.4%), C60(11.5%)and physical mixture(70.3%) and presented as one of the best CO_(2)electroreduction catalysts reported in H-cell system. The facile strategy would give rise to new insight into the exploration of powerful MOFbased hybrid materials in high-efficiency CO_(2)electroreduction.

We report herein an unprecedented N-heterocyclic carbene-catalyzed formal[3+3]annulation of ynals with N-Ts indolin-3-ones under the oxidation condition affording the functionalized pyrano[3,2-b]*** alkynyl acylazoliums via the combination of a carbene with ynals in the presence of oxidate proved to be the important intermediates for the success of this *** method features a broad substrate scope and mild conditions,including axially chiral skeletons with suitable substitutions.

An optimal hydropower contract load determination method considering both human and riverine ecosystem needs

In this research, a new method is developed to determine the optimal contract load for a hydropower reservoir, which is achieved by incorporating environ- mental flows into the determination process to increase hydropower revenues, while mitigating the negative impacts ofhydropower generation on riverine ecosystems. In this method, the degree of na^ral flow regime alteration is adopted as a constraint of hydropower generation to protect riverine ecosystems, and the maximization of mean annual revenue is set as the optimization objective. The contract load in each month and the associated reservoir operating parameters were simultaneously optimized by a genetic algorithm. The proposed method was applied to China＇s Wangkuai Reservoir to test its effectiveness. The new method offers two advantages over traditional studies. First, it takes into account both the economic benefits and the ecological needs of riverine systems, rather than only the economic benefits, as in previous methods. Second, although many measures have been established to mitigate the negative ecological impacts ofhydropower generation, few have been applied to the hydropower planning stage. Thus, since the contract load is an important planning parameter for hydropower generation, influencing both economic benefits and riverine ecosystem protection, this new method could provide guidelines for the establishment of river protection measures at the hydropower planning stage.

Morphology-controlled electrocatalysts with the ability of CO_(2) adsorption/activation, mass transfer, high stability and porosity are much desired in electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction (CO_(2)RR). Here, three kinds of multi-dimensional nanostructures (i.e., hollow sphere, nanosheets and nanofibers) have been successfully produced through the modulation of porphyrin-based covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with various modulators. The obtained nanostructures with high-stability, large surface-area, and single metal sites enable efficient CO_(2)RR into CH_(4). Notably, they all exhibit higher FE (hollow sphere, 68.2%;nanosheet, 64.2% and nanofiber, 71.0%, -0.9 V) than COF-366-Cu (43.0%, -0.9 V) after morphology control. Noteworthy, the FE of COF-366-Cu (HS) keeps higher than 52.4% over a wide potential range from -0.9 V to -1.1 V and the achieved FECH_(4) + C_(2)H_(4) (82.8%, -0.9 V) is superior to most of reported COFs and copper-based electrocatalysts. This work paves a new way in the exploration of COF-based multi-dimensional nanostructures applicable in efficient CO_(2)RR to CH_(4).

Collaborative coverage path planning(CCPP) refers to obtaining the shortest paths passing over all places except obstacles in a certain area or space. A multi-unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) collaborative CCPP algorithm is proposed for the urban rescue search or military search in outdoor *** to flexible control of small UAVs, it can be considered that all UAVs fly at the same altitude, that is, they perform search tasks on a two-dimensional plane. Based on the agents’ motion characteristics and environmental information, a mathematical model of CCPP problem is established. The minimum time for UAVs to complete the CCPP is the objective function, and complete coverage constraint, no-fly constraint, collision avoidance constraint, and communication constraint are considered. Four motion strategies and two communication strategies are designed. Then a distributed CCPP algorithm is designed based on hybrid strategies. Simulation results compared with patternbased genetic algorithm(PBGA) and random search method show that the proposed method has stronger real-time performance and better scalability and can complete the complete CCPP task more efficiently and stably.

Electrospinning preparation and characterization of polyoxometalate fibers

Poly(vinyl alcohol)/K7[SiW11O39Co(H3P2- O7)] hybrid fine fiber mats (PVA/SiW11Co-P2O7) were prepared through electrospinning technique. After calcinations of PVA/SiW11Co-P2O7 at 500℃ for 8 h, pure SiW11Co-P2O7 fine fibers were obtained with the Keggin structure keeping unchanged. The fiber mats were characterized by IR, ESR, PXRD and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) methods. The average diameter of the fibers is about 250 nm. The SiW11Co- P2O7 fibers showed color change when absorbing and desorbing moisture.

Magnetic skyrmions emerge when the energy of ferromagnetic exchange interaction promoting parallel alignment of spins enters in competition with energies favoring non-collinear alignment of spins such as Dzy aloshinskii-Moriya interaction(DMI),long-rang dipole-dipole interaction(DDI),or higher-order exchange *** perform an unbiased Monte Carlo simulation to study the DMI-based skyrmion nucleation and stabilization on the surface of magnetic nanotubular monolayer controlled by tuning constants of DDI(g) and next-nearest-neighbor antiferromagnetic exchange interaction(j') with appropriate *** g and j',the loosely distributed skyrmions initially nucleate on the surface of nanotube approaching to the magnetic field(h) direction with increasing h in the intermediate ***,the skyrmion size,shape,density,distribution and crystal structure,as well as its driven field range,are tailored by g and j'.This work demonstrates the skyrmion nucleation mechanisms in three-dimensional magnetic nanostructures with curvature effect and multiple interactions,serving as a benchmark for a guide to experimentalists for preparation of samples in magnetic skyrmion states.

Aerosol nonsphericity causes great uncertainty in radiative forcing assessments and climate *** considerable studies have attempted to quantify this uncertainty,the relationship between aerosol nonsphericity and particle size is usually not considered,thus reducing the accuracy of the *** this study,a coupled inversion algorithm combining an improved stochastic particle swarm optimization algorithm and angular light scattering is used for the nonparametric estimation of aerosol nonsphericity variation with particle size,and the optimal sample selection method is employed to screen the *** on the verification of inversion accuracy,the variation of aerosol aspect ratio with particle size based on the ellipsoidal model in global regions has been obtained from Aerosol Robotic Network(AERONET)data,and the effect of nonsphericity on radiative forcing and dry deposition has been *** results show that the aspect ratio increases with particle size in all regions,with the maximum ranging from 1.4 to 1.8 in the desert,reflecting the differences in aerosol composition at different particle *** radiation calculations,considering aerosol nonsphericity makes the aerosol cooling effect weaker and surface radiative fluxes increase,but hardly changes the aerosol absorption,with maximum differences of 9.22%and 22.12%at the bottom and top of the atmosphere,***,the differences in radiative forcing between aspect ratios as a function of particle size and not varying with particle size are not significant,averaging less than 2%.Besides,the aspect ratio not varying with particle size underestimates the deposition velocity of small particles and overestimates that of large particles compared to that as a function of particle size,with maximum differences of 7%and 4%,respectively.
