Background:There is no consensus on whether triplet regimen is better than doublet regimen in the first-line treatment of advanced gastric cancer(AGC).We aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of oxaliplatin plus capecitabine(XELOX)and epirubicin,oxaliplatin,plus capecitabine(EOX)regimens in treating ***:This phase III trial enrolled previously untreated patients with AGC whowere randomly assigned to receive the XELOXor *** primary endpoint was non-inferiority in progression-free survival(PFS)for XELOX as compared with EOX on an intention-to-treat ***:Between April 10,2015 andAugust 20,2020,448AGCpatientswere randomized to receive XELOX(n=222)or EOX(n=226).The median PFS(mPFS)was 5.0 months(95%confidence interval[CI]=4.5-6.0 months)in the XELOX arm and 5.5 months(95%CI=5.0-6.0 months)in the EOX arm(hazard ratio[HR]=0.989,95%CI=0.812-1.203;P_(non-inferiority)=0.003).There was no significant difference inmedian overall survival(mOS)(12.0 vs.12.0months,P=0.384)or objective response rate(37.4%vs.45.1%,P=0.291)between the two *** patients with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and liver metastasis,the EOX arm had a significantly longer mOS(P=0.021)and a trend of longer mPFS(P=0.073)than the XELOX *** rate of grade 3/4 adverse events(AEs)was 42.2%(90/213)in the XELOX arm and 72.5%(156/215)in the EOX arm(P=0.001).The global health-related quality of life(QoL)score was significantly higher in the XELOX arm than in the EOX arm during ***:This non-inferiority trial demonstrated that the doublet regimen was as effective as the triplet regimen and had a better safety profile and QoL as a first-line treatment for AGC ***,the triplet regimen might have a survival advantage in patients with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and liver metastasis.

Anti-apoptosis Effect of Decoy Receptor 3 in Cholangiocarcinoma Cell line TFK-1

Background： Decoy receptor 3 （DcR3） is a protein with anti-apoptotic effect that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. DcR3 is highly expressed in a variety of malignant tumors including cholangiocarcinoma and its expression was found to be related to the clinical stage, the invasion, and tile metastasis of the tumor. This in vitro study aimed to investigate the effect ofdownregulated expression of DcR3 on cell viability, cell apoptosis, and cell cycle in cholangiocarcinoma cell line TFK-1. Methods： Three different cell lines were cultured： human cholangiocarcinoma TFK-I, human biliary epithelial carcinoma HuCCT-1, and human cholangiocarcinoma RBE. The cholangiocarcinoma cell line with the highest expression of DcR3 was selected for further investigation. The expression of DcR3 was silenced/knocked down by transfection with DcR3-siRNA in the selected cell line. Various biological phenotype parameters such as cell viability, apoptosis, and cell cycle were observed. Results： The mRNA and protein levels of DcR3 were measured in the three cell lines, and TFK-1 was selected. After the treatment with DcR3-siRNA for 48 h, DcR3 mRNA and protein expression in the treatment group were 38.45% （P 〈 0.01 ） and 48.03% （P 〈 0.05） of that of＇the control, respectively. It was found that the cell viability decreased to 61.87% of the control group （P 〈 0.01 ） after the downregulation of DcR3 in cholangiocarcinoma cell line TFK- 1 by transfection with DcR3-siRNA, while tile percentage ofapoptotic cells was 2.98 times as compared with the control group （P 〈 0.05）. Compared with the control group the ratio of G0/G1 increased, and the ratio of G2/M dccreased in the treatment group. However, the differences were not statistically significant. Conclusions： The effect of DcR3 on the growth and apoptosis ofcholangiocarcinoma has been demonstrated. DcR3 is not only a predictive marker for malignant tumor but it is also likely to be a potential target for cancer gene therap

The back-streaming white-neutron beamline(Back-n)of the China Spallation Neutron Source is an essential neutronresearch platform built for the study of nuclear data,neutron physics,and neutron *** types of cross-sectional neutron-reaction measurements have been performed at Back-n since early *** measurements have shown that a significant number of gamma rays can be transmitted to the experimental stations of Back-n along with the neutron *** gamma rays,commonly referred to as in-beam gamma rays,can induce a non-negligible experimental background in neutron-reaction *** the characteristics of in-beam gamma rays is important for understanding the experimental ***,measuring in-beam gamma rays is challenging because most gamma-ray detectors are sensitive to neutrons;thus,discriminating between neutron-induced signals and those from in-beam gamma rays is *** this study,we propose the use of the black resonance filter method and a CeBr_(3) scintillation detector to measure the characteristics of the in-beam gamma rays of *** types of black resonance filters,^(181)Ta,^(59)Co,^(nat)Ag,and^(nat)Cd,were used in this *** time-of-flight(TOF)technique was used to select the detector signals remaining in the absorption region of the TOF spectra,which were mainly induced by in-beam gamma *** energy distribution and flux of the in-beam gamma rays of Back-n were determined by analyzing the deposited energy spectra of the CeBr_(3) scintillation detector and using Monte Carlo *** on the results of this study,the background contributions from in-beam gamma rays in neutron-reaction measurements at Back-n can be reasonably evaluated,which is beneficial for enhancing both the experimental methodology and data analysis.

The ^(232)Th(n,f)cross section is very important in basic nuclear physics and applications based on the Th/U fuel *** the time-of-flight method and a multi-cell fast-fission ionization chamber,a novel measurement of the^(232)Th(n,f)cross sec-tion relative to^(235)U in the 1–200 MeV range was performed at the China Spallation Neutron Source Back-n white neutron source(Back-n).The fission event-neutron energy spectra of^(232)Th and^(235)U fission cells were measured in the single-bunch *** 232Th/235U fission cross-sectional ratios were obtained,and the measurement uncertainties were 2.5–3.7%for energies in the 2–20 MeV range and 3.6–6.2%for energies in the 20–200 MeV ***^(232)Th(n,f)cross section was obtained by introducing the standard cross section of^(235)U(n,f).The results were compared with those of previous theoreti-cal calculations,measurements,and *** measured 232Th fission cross section agreed with the main evaluation results in terms of the experimental uncertainty,and 232Th fission resonances were observed in the 1–3 MeV *** present results provide^(232)Th(n,f)cross-sectional data for the evaluation and design of Th/U cycle nuclear systems.

The Large sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope（LAMOST） general survey is a spectroscopic survey that will eventually cover approximately half of the celestial sphere and collect 10 million spectra of stars, galaxies and QSOs. Objects in both the pilot survey and the first year regular survey are included in the LAMOST DR1. The pilot survey started in October 2011 and ended in june 2012, and the data have been released to the public as the LAMOST Pilot Data Release in August 2012. The regular survey started in September 2012, and completed its first year of operation in june 2013. The LAMOST DR1 includes a total of 1202 plates containing 2 955 336 spectra, of which 1 790 879 spectra have observed signalto-noise ratio（SNR） ≥ 10. All data with SNR ≥ 2 are formally released as LAMOST DR1 under the LAMOST data policy. This data release contains a total of 2 204 696 spectra, of which 1 944 329 are stellar spectra, 12 082 are galaxy spectra and 5017 are quasars. The DR1 not only includes spectra, but also three stellar catalogs with measured parameters： late A,FGK-type stars with high quality spectra（1 061 918 entries）, A-type stars（100 073 entries）, and M-type stars（121 522 entries）. This paper introduces the survey design, the observational and instrumental limitations, data reduction and analysis, and some caveats. A description of the FITS structure of spectral files and parameter catalogs is also provided.
