The Paleocene-Eocene thermal maximum(PETM) was a transient episode of global warming,associated with massive atmospheric greenhouse gas input that occurred at the Paleocene/Eocene *** and isotope stratigraphic studies indicate that the PETM event is well documented in the marl deposits of the Yuhuangding section in the Nanyang Basin,Central china,with a carbon isotope negative excursion of～6.1‰within 19-m-thick marl *** is the highest resolution record of the PETM so far found in the *** PETM event was triggered within 2.cm-thick marl sediments,with a decrease ofδC (stable carbon isotope ratio) from -3.2.to -5.2.,suggesting a massive methane hydrate release for a transient period that was possibly caused by a catastrophic event.A comparison between marine and terrestrial records indicates a"Three-Phase Model"for the PETM *** there is a rapid negative excursion in theδC record,followed by a slowly decreasing trend,and then a gradual positive recovery,corresponding respectively to a rapid dissociation of oceanic methane hydrate,followed by a slow release of methane and then the consumption of the released methane.

Skeletal sphalerite with stellar,cruciform and snowflake-like(or cauliflower-like) shapes included in pyrite is widely found in the Dajing tin-polymetallic *** occurs only in chalcopyrite-pyrite mineralization *** compositions of all sphalerites in the chalcopyrite-pyrite stage are characterized by high Cu content(3.9 - 7.0 wt%with a mean of 5.4 wt%),while the skeletal crystal sphalerite has higher zinc and cadmium contents,and lower copper and iron contents,compared with other sphalerites of the same *** skeletal crystal sphalerite in pyrite is possibly generated by exsolution.

Major element chemical analyses of the Baishui loess—red clay sequence(35°2.’ 10"N,106°54’ 43"E, Gansu Province,china) reveal that,the chemical weathering intensities inferred from CIA(chemical index of alteration) values have progressively weakened and increased in amplitude with decreasing age. The general trend of the CIA can be correlated well with the oxygen isotope variations of the deep sea *** of multiple size fractions(2.μm and 2.—63μm) indicate that the CIA and the major element abundances are strongly grain size *** chemical alternation of all three size fractions is relatively weak,and the long-term variation in chemical composition of the loess—red clay is mainly controlled by the mixing of fresh detritus from different source *** CIA variability of the coarse fractions(5—2.μm and 2.—63μm) within the section is apparently different from that of the fine fraction(<5μm),implying a different erosion—transportation—deposition—weathering *** 1 Ma onward,CIA values for all size fractions decrease,indicating an increasing input of fresh or poorly weathered detritus in the desert source regions of loess *** variations in the KO/AlO, NaO/AlO,CaO/AlO and MgO/AlO ratios from 4.5 Ma to about 0.6 Ma in bulk and size fractioned samples may reflect provenance change as well as changing chemical weathering processes.

Various sources of Ne and Ne exist in surface rocks:cosmogenic,in situ nucleogenic from internal II and Th,trapped crustal nucleogenic and trapped *** paper reports the first measurement,in china,of cosmogenic Ne and Ne in surface *** developed a unique sample pre-treatment procedure that effectively removed inclusions inside quartz grains,and thus maximally reduced nucleogenic contributions of Ne and ***-heating experiments show that concentrations of cosmogenic Ne and Ne in summit bedrock samples R92.2.and R92.3 from Grove Mountains,Antarctica,are (3.83±0.87)×10 and(5.2.±0.51)×10 atoms/g,*** corresponding minimum exposure ages are 2.2.0.5 and 3.0±0.3 *** indicates that the ice sheet in East Antarctica was uncovered the crest of Mount Harding,a typical nunatak in Grove Mountains,since at least mid-Pliocene.

Iron speciation in cherts from the Laobao Formation,South china:Implications for anoxic and ferruginous deep-water conditions

Cherts in the Laobao Formation in the Silikou section,South china were deposited in terminal Ediacaran *** speciations of iron in cherts,such as pyrite Fe(FeP),HCl-extractable Fe(FeH),and total Fe(FeT),and their interrelationships,are proxies for distinguishing oxic,anoxic but ferruginous,and sulfidic conditions,which is an effective method for studying the terminal Ediacaran ocean *** chert samples from the Laobao Formation,pyrite concentrations are generally low(2. and 0.84 and most exceed 0.38,and most of FeT/Al ratios range from 0.55 to 5.87(averaging 1.1).Relatively high content of highly reactive Fe and low content of pyrite indicate a scarcity of H2. and Fe-enriched *** features suggested that the deposition setting of Laobao cherts was anoxic and *** Ediacaran deep-water in the South china Basin was most likely anoxic and ferruginous,which played a key role in the emergence and evolution of early multicellular life.

目前基于GIS滑坡变形失稳危险性评价方法均有各自的局限性。本文在基于数据的数学统计模型的基础上提出CF多元回归模型。通过将滑坡确定性稳定系数与回归模型的融合,在一定程度以解决了滑坡评价过程中影响因子的选择和量化的问题,有利于建立准确的滑坡分析模型。最后,将模型应用于云南小江流域,进行了该区的滑坡空间分布及稳定性分析。

[1]The 15-month climatology of medium-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (MSTIDs) during a solar minimum period has been constructed from observations of a dense GPS receiver array in Central *** total,793 MSTID events are identified, with peaks in occurrence at 1500 LT and 0100 *** occurrence of MSTIDs decreases following an increase in geomagnetic activity,with 46%of the MSTIDS occurring in the *** MSTIDs are characterized by a major occurrence maximum around the winter solstice and by an equatorward propagation *** period,phase velocity,azimuth,and amplitude of daytime MSTIDs are 2.-60 min,100-400 m/s, 130°-2.0°,and 0.8-1.5%,*** remaining 54%of the MSTIDs occurred at night,and were characterized by a peak in occurrence at the summer solstice and by a southwestward propagation *** period,phase velocity,azimuth,and amplitude of nighttime MSTIDs are 2.-70 min,50-2.0 m/s,170°-300°,and 2.7%,respectively. The propagation directions and the seasonal behaviors support the view that daytime MSTIDs are an ionospheric manifestation of atmospheric gravity waves from the lower atmosphere,while a possible excitation mechanism of nighttime MSTIDs is the electrodynamics process caused by plasma instability in the F layer.

Major and trace element,including REE,concentrations of the Doushantuo cap carbonate(c. 635 Ma) in South china show enrichment in Fe,Mn and redox-sensitive elements and slightly negative Ce anomalies,indicating anoxic environments during cap carbonate *** Fe/Al ratios but very low concentration of extractable pyrites suggest ferruginous rather than euxinic *** REE + Y patterns of samples show enrichment of heavy REE(HREE),positive Eu anomalies and positive Y anomalies,implying a hydrothermal origin for elevated concentration of Fe,Mn and redox-sensitive *** results suggest that ferruginous Ediacaran oceans may have rooted from hydrothermally induced iron accumulation in severely glaciated Cryogenian oceans.
