Electrohydrodynamic lithography of metallic mesh for optically transparent flexible and conformal antennas

The optically transparent antenna is becoming a very attractive proposition for various applications, such as wearable devices and vehicle radars. The fabrication of transparent flexible/conformal antennas is a long-lasting interest in academia and industry.However, the preparation of radio-frequency radiators with excellent conductivity and optical transmittance is still quite challenging. Herein, we introduce a facile approach to directly fabricate optically transparent flexible and conformal coplanar waveguide-fed antennas using programmable electrohydrodynamic lithography. Metallic meshes with transmittance above 90%have been successfully created based on the conformal electrohydrodynamic printing of high-viscosity photoresist masks, and the corresponding sheet resistance can be tuned down to ~2 Ω/□. Then, the geometrical structure of the proposed transparent antenna has been systematically optimized because of the basic radio frequency components, including the radiator, feeder line,ground plane, and size of metallic meshes. Optically transparent flexible and conformal antennas are finally obtained, presenting an optical transmittance of 92% and 55%, respectively. The simulated and measured results demonstrate that the transparent antennas with a good optoelectronic performance indeed exhibit a nice electromagnetic behavior. We believe that this newly developed conformal electrohydrodynamic lithography method can be utilized to fabricate a variety of other transparent electronic devices, such as transparent electromagnetic shielding meshes on aircraft canopies, in the future.

Applying Chinese medicine(CM) is an important strategy for malignant tumor treatment in China. One of the significant characteristics of CM is to treat diseases based on syndrome differentiation. For Western medicine, it is of important clinical significance to formulate guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients based on the characteristics of disease differentiation. In Chinese clinical practice, the combination of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation is an important feature for cancer treatment in the past. Currently, molecular profiling and genomic analysis-based precision medicine optimizes the anticancer drug design and holds the greatest success in treating cancer patients. Therefore, we want to know which populations of cancer patients can benefit more from CM treatment if the theory of precision medicine is applied to CM clinical practice. So, we developed a novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategy "disease-syndrome differentiation-genomic profilingprescriptions" for cancer patients by CM syndrome differentiation and precision medicine. As a result, this strategy has greatly enhanced the anti-tumor efficacy of CM and improved clinical outcomes for cancer patients with some gene mutations. Our idea will hopefully establish a novel approach for the inheritance and innovation of CM.

Surface-based geometric modeling has many advantages in terms of visualization and traditional subtractive manufacturing using computer-numerical-control cutting-machine tools.However,it is not an ideal solution for additive manufacturing because to digitally print a surface-represented geometric object using a certain additive manufacturing technology,the object has to be converted into a solid representation.However,converting a known surface-based geometric representation into a printable representation is essentially a redesign process,and this is especially the case,when its interior material structure needs to be considered.To specify a 3D geometric object that is ready to be digitally manufactured,its representation has to be in a certain volumetric form.In this research,we show how some of the difficulties experienced in additive manufacturing can be easily solved by using implicitly represented geometric objects.Like surface-based geometric representation is subtractive manufacturing-friendly,implicitly described geometric objects are additive manufacturing-friendly:implicit shapes are 3D printing ready.The implicit geometric representation allows to combine a geometric shape,material colors,an interior material structure,and other required attributes in one single description as a set of implicit functions,and no conversion is needed.In addition,as implicit objects are typically specified procedurally,very little data is used in their specifications,which makes them particularly useful for design and visualization with modern cloud-based mobile devices,which usually do not have very big storage spaces.Finally,implicit modeling is a design procedure that is parallel computing-friendly,as the design of a complex geometric object can be divided into a set of simple shape-designing tasks,owing to the availability of shape-preserving implicit blending operations.

Two functional tetraphenylethylene derivatives modified by vinylpyridine and vinylnitrobenzene,respectively, were synthesized by Heck coupling reaction. Their optical behaviors were investigated. The results showed they had AIE activity in solution. The property in solid state displayed that both of them had reversible mechanochromism. Upon grinding, their fluorescence spectra showed around 13–40nm red-shift, and could return to the original state after solvent fuming. We believe that this work will be helpful for the design of stimuli-responsive materials in future.

Construction of Crown Ether-Stoppering [3]Rotaxanes Based on N-Hetero Crown Ether Host

Crown ether usually plays the role of macrocyclic host in supramolecular chemistry, but here the crown ether is also utilized as the stoppers in rotaxanes. In this work, we designed and synthesized two [3]rotaxanes containing four crown ether components by using an approach of template-directed clipping reaction, of which, two crown ether components were employed as the macrocyclic hosts to assemble the mechanically interlocked framework while another two crown ether units located on the two ends of ammonium template acting as the stoppering groups of rotaxanes. Their self-assembling process was monitored by the 1H NMR and one of the single crystal structures of [3]rotaxane was obtained.

随着计算机视觉、深度学习的发展,基于视觉的静态SLAM研究不断改进,然而大多数SLAM算法存在静态假定不成立和累计漂移。针对上述问题,设计动态BN-SLAM算法,利用深度图像的几何信息对原始掩模进行修正,修正掩膜用于移除运动物体及其影响。设计加权RANSAC方法,求解摄像机局部位姿。在TUM数据集上的实验结果表明,BN-SLAM的ATE、平移RPE和旋转RPE的平均RMSE值分别为95.46%、92.45%和90.88%,平均S.D.值分别为94.88%、94.76%和92.80%,跟踪轨迹点结果的平均率为98.80%。在真实环境的实验结果表明,BN-SLAM能够剔除运动的人造成的地图污染。

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine injection(CMI)for treating acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome(ALI/ARDS).Methods Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were identified by searching 3 English databases and 4 Chinese databases from their inceptions until February 2019.The Cochrane handbook was used to evaluate risk of bias in the included studies.Data analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.3.3 software.Results A total of 19 eligible RCTs involving 1,334 participants was included in this systematic review and meta-analysis.The main meta-analysis showed that CMI combined with conventional therapy(CT)was more effective than CT alone in reducing the acute physiology and chronic health evaluation(APACHE)H score[mean difference(MD):−1.74 points,95%confidence interval(CI):−2.77 to−0.71,I^2=0]and increasing the total effective rate[relative risk(RR):1.35,95%CI:1.17 to 1.56,I^2=37%].Compared with CT,CMI combined with CT showed improvements in the arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2,MD:9.25 mm Hg,95%CI:0.87 to 17.63,I^2=98%)and oxygenation index[arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)/fraction of inspired oxygen(FiO2),MD:50.75 mm Hg,95%CI:35.18 to 66.31,I^2=94%].CMI plus CT was superior to CT in reducing the systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS)score(MD:−0.84 points,95%CI:−1.26 to−0.42,I^2=65%),length of hospital stay(MD:−4.22 days,95%CI:−6.49 to−1.95,I^2=92%),and duration of mechanical ventilation(MD:−2.94 days,95%CI:−4.68 to−1.21,I^2=89%).Only 1 study reported adverse events.Conclusions CMI as an adjuvant therapy showed great potential benefits for the treatment of ALI/ARDS.However,we could not make a definite conclusion due to low quality of included studies and uncertain security.Future studies should focus on improving research design,especially in blindness and placebo.The reporting of adverse events was also needed.

Some novel cycloaddition reactions based on benzyne and olefins have been developed.These reactions were performed in the absence of a transition metal catalyst,and they displayed good yields.These cycloaddition reactions of benzyne with olefins provide effective routes for synthesizing benzocyclobutenes,biaryl compounds and 9,10-dihydrophenanthrene derivatives.
