Gold(Au)and palladium(Pd)play an increasing role in the production and human life;Therefore,it is of great significance to study their recovery.A 5,11,17,23-tetra-ethylthio-25,26,27,28-tetra-hydroxyl thiacalix[4]arene(TCAET)was synthesized specifically for the capture of Au(Ⅲ)and Pd(Ⅱ)from HCl medium by liquid-liquid *** a 0.1 mol·L^(-1)HCl medium,the transfer of Au(Ⅲ)and Pd(Ⅱ)from the aqueous phase to the organic phase was highly efficient,with a transfer ratio of 100%for Au(Ⅲ)and 98%for Pd(Ⅱ).Furthermore,the extraction equilibrium time for Au(Ⅲ)was just 5 ***'s method data demonstrated that TCAET formed complexes with Au(Ⅲ)and Pd(Ⅱ)in a ratio of 2:3 and 1:1,respectively,during the extraction *** showed high selectivity toward Pd(Ⅱ)and Au(Ⅲ)over other competing metal ***,both Au(Ⅲ)and Pd(Ⅱ)could be successfully stripped from the loaded organic phases with a 1.0 mol·L^(-1)thiourea in 0.5 mol·L^(-1)HCl and 0.5 mol·L^(-1)thiourea in 0.5 mol·L^(-1)HCl,*** obtained from five consecutive extraction-stripping cycles showed good reusability of TCAET toward Au(Ⅲ)and Pd(Ⅱ)*** conclusion can provide a certain reference for thiacalixarene in the recovery of precious metal species.

Herein,we report a condition-controlled divergent synthesis of spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones and spiro isochroman-3,1'-isoindolinones through cobalt-catalyzed formal[4+1]and[4+1+1]spirocyclization of aromatic amides with 2-diazo-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-*** the reaction is carried out under air in ethyl acetate,spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones are formed through Co(II)-catalyzed C—H/N—H[4+1]*** the reaction is run under O2 in CH3CN,on the other hand,spiro isochroman-3,1'-isoindolinones are generated through Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of the in situ formed spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones with O2 as a cheaper and environmental-friendly oxygen *** general,these protocols have advantages such as using non-precious and earth-abundant metal catalyst,no extra additive,high efficiency and regioselectivity.A gram-scale synthesis and the removal of the directing group further highlight its utility.

In recent decades,the spatio-temporal patterns of China’s croplands have been reshaped by disturbances from anthropogenic activities,with complex changes in the topographic characteristics of ***-climbing of croplands(SCCL)is an important issue that threatens sustainable agricultural *** providing land with prominent location advantages,SCCL weakens the water and fertilizer retention capacity for cropland,intensifies various geological disasters,and adversely affects the ecological environment and food yield of these *** is crucial to determine the spatio-temporal variation features and effects of SCCL in China to formulate more accurate cropland protection policies and to maintain food security;however,the current lack of relevant studies is detrimental for capturing trends in cropland resources and sustainable cropland *** this study,we constructed a multi-scale slope spectrum for cropland and total terrain to explore the spatial differences and trends of SCCL from a three-dimensional *** evaluated the natural and socioeconomic effects of SCCL in China from multiple *** indicate that the proportion of cropland with slopes below 2°,5°,and 6°in China decreased by 0.43%,0.47%,and 0.50%from 1980 to 2020,*** became apparent during 1980-1990 and 2010-2020,especially over the recent *** cropland climbing index(CCI)and upper limited slope change(uLSC)to measure the spatio-temporal pattern of SCCL were 0.99%and 1.17°,respectively,during *** the agricultural regional scale,the SCCL was also concentrated in 1980-1990 and 2010-2020,and it is more pronounced in the southern *** proportion of provinces and prefecture-level cities with high-intensity SCCL during 1980-2020 were 87.10%and 49.73%,*** was comparatively more pronounced and broader from 2010 to *** this period,17.84%of prefecture-level cities had no SCCL,and the average CCI for all prefecture-level citi

La–Mg–Ni-based hydrogen storage alloys have excellent hydrogen storage *** work reports the hydrogen storage performance of a series of A_(2)B_(7)-type La_(0.96)Mg_(0.04)N_(i3.34)Al_(0.13)alloy and La_(0.96-x)y_(x)Mg_(0.04)Ni_(3.47–0.6x)Al_(0.6x)(x=0,0.22,0.33,0.44)alloys,and explores the effect of y and Al element combined substitution on the microstructure and hydrogen storage performance of A_(2)B_(7)-type La–Mg–Ni-based *** alloys are composed of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and LaNi_(5)*** the increase of x,the cell volume of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase decreases,while that of LaNi_(5)phase increases,indicating that y atom mainly enters Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and Al atom mainly enters LaNi_(5)*** appropriate amount of co-substitution increases the hydrogen storage capacity and reduces the hydrogen absorption/desorption plateau pressure hysteresis of the *** x=0.44,the hydrogen storage capacity of the alloy is 1.449 wt%,and the hysteresis coefficient is *** cell volume of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)phase and LaNi_(5)phase expands to different degrees after 20 absorption/desorption *** the increase of x,the volume expansion rate decreases,and the cycle capacity retention rate also gradually *** is related to the amorphization of Ce_(2)Ni_(7)*** x=0.22,the capacity retention rate of the alloy is 91.4%.

POLAR-2 is a gamma-ray burst(GRB)polarimeter that is designed to study the polarization in GRB radiation emissions,aiming to improve our knowledge of related ***-2 is expected to utilize an on-board polarimeter that is sensitive to soft X-rays(2-10 keV),called low-energy polarization *** have developed a new soft X-ray polari-zation detector prototype based on gas microchannel plates(GMCPs)and pixel chips(Topmetal).The GMCPs have bulk resistance,which prevents charging-up effects and ensures gain stability during *** detector is composed of low outgassing materials and is gas-sealed using a laser welding technique,ensuring long-term stability.A modulation factor of 41.28%±0.64% is obtained for a 4.5 keV polarized X-ray beam.A residual modulation of 1.96%±0.58% at 5.9 keV is observed for the entire sensitive area.

CFIRL is a long noncoding RNA(lnc RNA),we previously identified as the most significantly.upregulated lnc RNA in the failing hearts of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM).In this study,we determined the function of CFIRL and its role in ***-time polymerase chain reaction and in situ hybridization assays revealed that CFIRL was primarily localized in the nucleus of cardiac fibroblasts and robustly increased in failing *** knockdown or fibroblast-specific knockout of CFIRL attenuated transverse aortic constriction(TAC)-induced cardiac dysfunction and fibrosis in *** of CFIRL in vitro promoted fibroblast proliferation and aggravated angiotensin II-induced differentiation to *** knockdown attenuated these ***,RNA pull-down assay and gene expression profiling revealed that CFIRL recruited ENO1,a newly identified noncanonical transcriptional factor,to activate ***-6 exerted a paracrine effect on cardiomyocytes to promote cardiac hypertrophy,which can be prevented by CFIRL *** findings uncover the critical role of CFIRL,a fibroblast-associated lnc RNA,in heart failure by facilitating crosstalk between fibroblasts and *** knockdown might be a potent strategy to prevent cardiac remodeling in heart failure,particularly in DCM.

Thermoelectric superlattices are expected to decouple the strong correlation between various thermo-electric parameters,and are an important strategy for excellent thermoelectric *** superlattices of(Bi_(2))m(Bi_(2)Te_(3))n homologous series are well-known for low lattice thermal conductivity and intriguing topological surface ***,the impacts of electronic structure on the thermo-electric performance were still not well-understood in(Bi_(2))m(Bi_(2)Te_(3))*** cope with this issue,Bi_(2)eBi_(2)Te_(3)superlattice-like films with adjustable Bi_(2)/(Bi_(2)+Bi_(2)Te_(3))molar ratio(R)were successfully fabricated by the molecular beam epitaxy ***-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements com-bined with theoretical calculations revealed the conduction band evolution from single-valley to multi-valley as R≥0.30,leading to intrinsically high carrier effective mass and improved thermoelectric power ***,the superlattice film(R=0.46)with the structure close to Bi_(4)Te_(3)possesses the topological surface state feature around the high symmetry *** a result of the high effective mass of 3.9 m0 and very high electron density of_(2).31×10^(21)cm^(-3),the film with R=0.46 acquired the highest power factor of 1.49 mW·m^(-1)·K^(-2)at 420 K,outperforming that of other(Bi_(2))m(Bi_(2)Te_(3))n *** work lays an essential foundation on understanding the electronic structure and further improving thermoelectric performances of(Bi_(2))m(Bi_(2)Te_(3))n homologous series.
