Psychological Status and Warfarin Therapy in Patients after Valve Replacement during the COVID-19 Pandemic:A Cross-sectional Study

Gaseous versus Stellar Velocity Dispersion in Emission-Line Galaxies

We compare the ionized gas velocity dispersion σgas with the stellar velocity dispersion σ＊ in star-forming galaxies, composite galaxies, Low Ionization Nuclear Emissionline Regions （LINERs） and Seyfert 2s, compiled from a cross-identification of Sloan Digital Sky Survey Fourth Data Release （SDSS DR4） and Point Source Catalogue Redshift Survey （PSCz）. We measure σgas from the FWHMs of emission lines （Hα, [NⅡ]λλ6548, 6583 and [SⅡ]λλ6716, 6731）. A significant correlation between the gas and stellar velocity dispersion exists, despite substantial scatter. The mean value of the gas to stellar velocity dispersion ratio is close to unity. This suggests that gas velocity dispersion can substitute for the stellar velocity dispersion as a tracer of the gravitational potential well for all the four types of galaxies, but the involved uncertainties are different from type to type. We also studied -↑σgas, as a function of the redshift and the axial ratio to test the effects of aperture and galaxy inclination, and found that both effects are weak. Finally we checked the trend of -↑σgas/σ＊ with the infrared luminosity and found no significant correlation.

Density Effects on Plant Height Growth and Inequality in Sunflower Populations

Comparisons between competing and non-competing sunflower （Helianthus annuus L.） populations demonstrate pronounced effects of density on plant height growth, height-to-crown width ratio, and s popuiaUon＇s height inequality. In the present study, non-destructive measurements of height and the prolected crown area of sunflower plants were taken at seven times from emergence to fruit maturation in even-aged monospeclflc stands with initial densities of 1, 4, 16, and 64 plants/m^2. The mean height of populations Increased and then decreased with increasing population density; the height Inequalities of uncrowded populations decreased during stand growth, whereas the height inequaiiUes of crowded popuisUons decreased first and then increased during stand development. The interindlvidual relationships between the relative height growth rate and height within uncrowded populations became significantly negative during population growth, whereas these relationships were negative first and then became positive during the development of crowded populations. In the uncrowded populations, the static Interindlvldual relationship between height-to-crown width ratio and volume was positive, whereas for the crowded population these relationships became negative with increasing competition for light. The data suggest that the plastic responses of plant height and height-to-crown width ratio to light competition will become more Intense with increasing competition Intensity. The results of the present study argue strongly for the Importance of size-dependent Individual-level plastic responses due to size-asymmetric light competition In generating the variations in population height inequality.

Regional volume changes of the brain in migraine chronification

Multifunctional Nanoplatform Based on pH-responsive Micelle Coated with Discontinuous Gold Shell for Cancer Photothermo-chemotherapy and Photoacoustic Tomography

Photothermo-chemotherapy, as a new strategy for cancer treatment, incorporates the complementary advantages of photothermal therapy and chemotherapy. In this study, a pH-sensitive diblock copolymer poly（aspartic acid-butanediamine）-poly（2- （diisopropylamino）ethyl methacrylate）（PAsp（DAB）-PDPA） was synthesized and self-assembled into doxorubicin-loaded micelle, which was further used as a template to form a gold nanoshell. After fitrther modification with poly（ethylene glycol）, the resulting nanoplatform provided good biocompatibility and desirable photo-thermal conversion efficiency to facilitate photothermal therapy. Meanwhile the nanoparticle also exhibited pH sensitivity, which prevented drug loss while circulating in the blood but enabled rapid drug release after endocytosis. An improved effect was achieved with the combination of photothermal therapy and chemotherapy. In addition, systemic delivery of the nanoplatform could be monitored by photoacoustic tomography. Thereby, this multifunctional nanoplatform would be highly potential for the diagnosis and therapy of cancer.

The local properties of supernova explosions and their host galaxies

We aim to understand the properties at the locations of supernova(SN) explosions in their host galaxies and compare with the global properties of these host galaxies. We use the integral field spectrograph(IFS) of Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory(MaNGA) to generate 2 D maps of the parameter properties for 11 SN host galaxies. The sample galaxies are analyzed one by one in detail in terms of their properties of velocity field, star formation rate, oxygen abundance, stellar mass, *** sample of SN host galaxies has redshifts around z^0.03, which is higher than those of previous related works. The higher redshift distribution allows us to obtain the properties of more distant SN host galaxies. Metallicity(gas-phase oxygen abundance) estimated from integrated spectra can represent the local metallicity at SN explosion sites with small bias. All the host galaxies in our sample are metal-rich galaxies(12+log(O/H)> 8.5) except for NGC 6387, which means SNe may be more inclined to explode in metallicity-rich galaxies. There is a positive relation between global gas-phase oxygen abundance and the stellar mass of host galaxies. We also try to compare the differences of the host galaxies between SNe Ia and SNe II. In our sample, both SNe Ia and SNe II can explode in normal galaxies, but SNe II can also explode in an interacting or a merging system, in which star formation is occurring in the galaxy.
