The role of reservoir mediums in natural oil cracking:Preliminary experimental results in a confined system

Large amounts of data regarding the influence of temperature and pressure on the thermal stability of crude oil have been pub-lished;however,the role of reservoir mediums has received little *** involving oil cracking in the presence of montmorillonite,illite,calcite,quartz and water were conducted in closed gold tubes to investigate the effects of these reservoir mediums on oil *** was done by screening variations in the chemical and stable carbon isotopic components of nC10+ and gasoline-range hydrocarbons(nC8-)present in various *** indicated that reservoir mediums have an active role in oil cracking under experimental *** concentrations of nC10+ in the cracked residues progressively decreased in systems containing oil+water+illite,oil+water+montmorillonite,oil+water,oil+water+quartz and oil+water+*** comparison with the system containing oil+water,our results indicated a retardation effect for oil cracking in systems in the presence of illite and montmorillonite,and an acceleration effect on oil destruction in systems in the presence of calcite and ***10+ became increasingly depleted in 13C in systems with oil+water+illite,oil+water+calcite,oil+water+montmorillonite,oil+water+ quartz and oil+*** obvious correlation was observed between concentrations and stable carbon isotopic components of nC6-nC8 and nC10+ in the individual *** discrepancies in chemical and stable carbon isotopic components of nC6-nC8 and nC10+ in the pyrolyzed residues highlighted the important role of reservoir mediums to control carbon-carbon cleavage of nC10+ and then the isomerization,cyclolization and aromatization reactions;as well as governing the occurrence and thermal destruction of nC6-nC8 under experimental *** research may have critical implications in reconstructing chemical kinetic models for natural oil cracking.

A discussion on the upper limit of maturity for gas generation by marine kerogens and the utmost of gas generative potential:Taking the study on the Tarim Basin as an example

The experimental data yielded by Rock-Eval pyrolysis, kerogen atomic H/C, Py-GC and gold-tube sealing thermal simulation on the marine Cambrian-Ordovician source rock from the Tarim Basin revealed that the upper limit of maturity for natural gas generation or the "deadline of gas generation" for marine types I and II kerogens is equal to 3.0% of vitrinite reflectance (Ro); while the "deadline of gas generation" for type III kerogens typically like coals is as high as 10% Ro. Thus, different organic matter has obviously different utmost maturities for gas generation. The mass-balance calculation by kerogen elements showed that when Ro>1.5%, the utmost amount of gas generation for the marine type II kerogen is less than 185 m3/t TOC, accounting for less than 30% of its total hydrocarbon generative potential; when Ro>2.0%, it becomes 110 m3/t TOC, less than 20% of the total hydrocarbon generative potential. The amount of the gas generative potential obtained by Rock-Eval is only around one tenth of the calculated value by the mass balance of kerogen elements at the same thermal evolutionary stage, while those by Py-GC and gold-tube sealing simulation are intervenient between the above two. The utmost of gas generative potential at the over 1.3% Ro stage is around 60―90 m3/t TOC, therefore, the amount of gas generation obtained by Rock-Eval is the minimum of gas generative potential, while that by the mass-balance calculation of kerogen elements is the maximum that the actual amount of gas generation should not exceed.

To combat the crisis of today's synthetic polymers arising from unsustainable production and disposal,it is essential for the synthetic polymer community to reshape the current polymer industry with sustainable *** an emerging class of sustainable polymers,the development of chemically depolymerizable polymers(CDPs),which can undergo closed-loop depolymerization/repolymerization cycles to reproduce virgin polymers without the loss of properties from recovered monomers,offers an ideal solution to preserve finite natural resources,provides a feasible solution to the end-of-life issue of polymer waste,and thereby establishes a circular materials ***,two grand key challenges have been encountered in the establishment of practically useful CDPs:how to balance polymerization and depolymerization ability and how to unify conflicted depolymerizability and physical ***,this critical review article presents our vision for summarizing feasible strategies to overcome the above two significant challenges and the design principles for constructing an ideal CDP by highlighting selected major progress made in this rapidly expanding field.

由于土壤的非均质性,同一样品的多个光谱测试点位置之间以及同一土壤发生层的多个样品之间,均存在着不同程度的光谱差异,进而导致光谱估测的土壤属性具有误差。截至目前,还没有揭示这种误差的研究报道。在我国南方典型丘陵区林地的小区内,用环刀重复2次采集了80个土壤剖面发生层和38个土壤表层的样品,再分别用原位光谱法和传统实验室方法测定土壤有机质含量,从而分析因光谱测试点和样品采集位置不同导致的土壤有机质含量估测误差。结果表明:每个样品在共计18个测试点位置上的光谱差异为0.12°~8.13°,均值为1.55°;在共计2个重复采样位置之间的光谱差异为0.18°~3.65°,均值为0.88°。因测试点和采样位置不同导致的土壤有机质估测误差用标准偏差表示,分别为0.92~14.66和0.005 7~11.46 g·kg^-1,占实测有机质的3.8%~428%和0.017%~92%。同时,这两种误差会随着实测有机质值含量的增大而增加。并且,测试点位置不同导致的误差比偏最小二乘回归模型所导致的误差还要大。研究认为,今后的研究中需注意测试点和采样位置不同引起的误差,尤其是有机质含量较高的土壤。

Aging biomarkers are a combination of biological parameters to(i)assess age-related changes,(ii)track the physiological aging process,and(iii)predict the transition into a pathological *** a broad spectrum of aging biomarkers has been developed,their potential uses and limitations remain poorly *** immediate goal of biomarkers is to help us answer the following three fundamental questions in aging research:How old are we?Why do we get old?And how can we age slower?This review aims to address this ***,we summarize our current knowledge of biomarkers developed for cellular,organ,and organismal levels of aging,comprising six pillars:physiological characteristics,medical imaging,histological features,cellular alterations,molecular changes,and secretory *** fulfill all these requisites,we propose that aging biomarkers should qualify for being specific,systemic,and clinically relevant.

With recent advances in the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of organic solar cells(OSCs)based on novel donor and non-fullerene acceptor(NFAs),improving the stability of these systems has become the most important issue for their practical ***,an efficient and highly stable OSC,containing a novel polymer donor and a non-fullerene acceptor system,is *** OSC is based on an inverted device structure that utilizes a self-assembled fullerene monolayer(C60-SAM)as the cathode modification layer,and an efficient and highly stable OSC composes of a polymer donor of poly[4,8-bis(5-(2-ethyl hexyl)thiophen-2-yl)benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b’]dithiophene-alt-3-fluorothie-no[3,4-b]thiophene-2-c arboxylate](PTB7-Th)and a non-fullerene acceptor of(2,2’-((2 Z,2’Z)-(((4,4,9,9-Tetrakis(4-hexylphenyl)-4,9-dihydro-sindaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b’]dithiophene-2,7-diyl)bis(4-((2 ethylhexyl)oxy)thiophene-5,2-diyl))bis(metha nylylidene))bis(5,6-difluoro-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-l H-indene-2,1-diylidene))dimalononitrile)(IEICO-4 F)is presented,showing a PCE of 10%.It further achieves an extrapolated T80 lifetime(the time required to reach 80%of initial performance)of 34,000 h,operating under one sun illumination equivalent Based on an estimated solar irradiance of 1500 kWh/(m2 year)for china,a potential lifetime of22 years is inferred for the *** investigation reveals that the reported C60-SAM modification stabilizes the OSC active layer morphology by lowering the surface energy of the underlying ZnO electron transport layer and suppressing trap-assisted recombination,thereby improving *** results of this work establish important guidelines for the development of non-fullerene based OSCs with enhanced stability and pave the way for the commercialization of OSC technology.
