A novel coumarin-based "turn-on" fluorescent probe SS-1 was developed for selective detection of SO_2 derivatives in 100% water solution among reactive sulfur species(RSS). The detection limit of the method was 91.7 nM. Moreover, the probe exhibited low cytotoxicity and was successfully applied in the imaging of endogenously generated SO_2 in HeLa cells.

Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is caused by various drugs with complex pathogenesis,and diverse clinical and pathological *** damage the liver directly through drug hepatotoxicity,or indirectly through drug-mediated oxidative stress,immune injury and inflammatory insult,which eventually lead to hepatocyte *** studies have found that the composition,relative content and distribution of gut microbiota in patients and animal models of DILI have changed *** has been confirmed that gut microbial dysbiosis brings about intestinal barrier destruction and microorganisms translocation,and the alteration of microbial metabolites may cause or aggravate *** addition,antibiotics,probiotics,and fecal microbiota transplantation are all emerging as prospective therapeutic methods for DILI by regulating the gut *** this review,we discussed how the altered gut microbiota participates in DILI.

The present study aimed to investigate the durability and microstructure evolution of road base materials(RBM)prepared from red mud and flue gas desulfurization fly *** durability testing showed that the strength of RBM with the blast furnace slag addition of 1wt%,3wt%and 5wt%reached 3.81,4.87,and 5.84 MPa after 5 freezing–thawing(F–T)cycles and reached 5.21,5.75,and 6.98 MPa after 20 weting–drying(W–D)cycles,*** results also indicated that hydration products were continuously formed even during W–D and F–T exposures,resulting in an increase of the strength and durability of *** observed increase of macropores(>1μm)after F–T and W–D exposures suggested that the mechanism of RBM deterioration is pore enlargement due to cracks that develop inside their ***,the F–T exposure showed a greater negative effect on the durability of RBM compared to the W–D *** leaching tests showed that sodium and heavy metals were solidified below the minimum requirement,which indicates that these wastes are suitable for use as a natural material replacement in road base construction.

The contribution of tropical cyclones(TCs)to the East Asia–Pacific(EAP)teleconnection pattern during summer was investigated using the best track data of the Joint Typhoon Warning Center and NCEP-2 reanalysis datasets from 1979 *** results showed that the TCs over the western North Pacific(WNP)correspond to a strengthened EAP pattern:During the summers of strong convection over the tropical WNP,TC days correspond to a stronger cyclonic circulation anomaly over the WNP in the lower troposphere,an enhanced seesaw pattern of negative and positive geopotential height anomalies over the subtropical WNP and midlatitude East Asia in the middle troposphere,and a more northward shift of the East Asian westerly jet in the upper *** analyses indicated that two types of TCs with distinctly different tracks,i.e.,westward-moving TCs and northward-moving TCs,both favor the EAP *** present results imply that TCs over the WNP,as extreme weather,can contribute significantly to summer-mean climate anomalies over the WNP and East Asia.

A Finite-Time Recurrent Neural Network for Computing Quadratic Minimization with Time-Varying Coefficients

This paper proposes a Finite-time Zhang neural network(FTZNN) to solve time-varying quadratic minimization problems. Different from the original Zhang neural network(ZNN) that is specially designed to solve time-varying problems and possesses an exponential convergence property, the proposed neural network exploits a sign-bi-power activation function so that it can achieve the finite-time convergence. In addition, the upper bound of the finite convergence time for the FTZNN model is analytically estimated in theory. For comparative purposes, the original ZNN model is also presented to solve time-varying quadratic minimization problems. Numerical experiments are performed to evaluate and compare the performance of the original ZNN model and the FTZNN model. The results demonstrate that the FTZNN model is a more effective solution model for solving time-varying quadratic minimization problems.

Programs take on changing behavior at nmtime in a simultaneous multithreading （SMT） environment. How reasonably common resources are distributed among the threads significantly determines the throughput and fairness performance in SMT processors. Existing resource distribution methods either mainly rely on the front-end fetch policy, or make distribution decisions according to the limited information from the pipeline. It is difficult for them to efficiently catch the various resource requirements of the threads. This work presents a spatially triggered dissipative resource distribution （SDRD） policy for SMT processors, its two parts, the self-organization mechanism that is driven by the real-time instructions per cycle （IPC） performance and the introduction of chaos that tries to control the diversity Of trial resource distributions, work together to supply sustaining resource distribution optimization for changing program behavior. Simulation results show that SDRD with fine-grained diversity controlling is more effective than that with a coarse-grained one. And SDRD benefits much from its two well-coordinated parts, providing potential fairness gains as well as good throughput gains. Meanings and settings of important SDRD parameters are also discussed.

To clarify the role of a natural or artificial liquid environment in the free-running infrared pulsed laser ablation of hard biological tissues,two-and three-dimensional morphologies of laser-induced craters must be quantitatively measured to distinguish ablation differences in air and in ***-field optical coherence microscopy is introduced,which has non-contact,non-destructive,non-preprocessing and higher-resolution *** results indicate that the ablation performances in air and in water are comparable for few laser pulses,but the ablation difference becomes obvious for more laser *** coherence microscopy is more feasible than conventional means for the morphological measurement of craters.
