Finite-Time Stability for Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Nonlinear Systems via an Observer-Based Sliding Mode Control

This work focuses on the design of a sliding mode controller for a class of continuoustime interval type-2 fuzzy-model-based nonlinear systems with unmeasurable state information over a finite-time *** at describing the nonlinearities containing parameter uncertainties that inevitably appear in practice,the interval type-2 fuzzy sets are employed to model the studied *** improve the designing flexibility,a fuzzy observer model non-parallel distribution compensation scheme is designed to estimate the state information of the plant,i.e.,the observer is allowed to have a mismatching premise structure from the *** this basis,the appropriate fuzzy sliding surface and fuzzy controller are constructed by following the same premise variables as the designed fuzzy ***,by means of the sliding mode control theory and the Lyapunov function method,some novel sufficient criteria are established to ensure the finite-time boundedness for the studied systems via a partitioning strategy including the reaching phase,the sliding motion phase and the whole time ***,the designed gains are acquired by solving the matrix convex optimization ***,the effectiveness of the developed method is demonstrated by two simulation examples.

The problem of designing a passive filter for nonlinear switched singularly perturbed systems with parameter uncertainties is explored in this ***,the multiple-time-scale phenomenon is settled effectively by introducing a singular perturbation parameter in the ***,the interval type-2 fuzzy set theory is employed where parameter uncertainties are expressed in membership functions rather than the system *** is worth noting that interval type-2 fuzzy sets of the devised filter are different from the plant,which makes the design of the filter more ***,the persistent dwell-time switching rule,as a kind of time-dependent switching rules,is used to manage the switchings among nonlinear singularly perturbed subsystems,and this rule is more general than dwell-time and average dwell-time switching ***,sufficient conditions are provided for guaranteeing that the filtering error system is globally uniformly exponentially stable with a passive ***,on the basis of the linear matrix inequalities,the explicit expression of the designed filter can be ***,a tunnel diode electronic circuit is rendered as an example to confirm the correctness and the validity of the developed filter.

This paper considers the problem of stochastic stabilization and energy-to-peak control for a class of discrete stochastic fuzzy systems with interval time-delays. The objective is to design a state feedback controller such that the closed-loop system is stochastic stable and satisfies energy-to-peak performance. Based on the idea of interval partitioning, some new sufficient conditions are presented in LMI.

Commercially available carbon-supported Pt, PtCo and PtRu catalysts from E-TEK are heat-treated in turn at 600℃ and 800℃ each for an hour. The as-received and as-heated catalysts are used as anode catalysts for direct methanol fuel cells. Structural and surface composition changes induced by heating are analyzed by X-ray diffraction （XRD） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）, respectively. For the Pt catalyst, heating the catalysts caused only the mass activity decrease due to particle sintering, whereas the specific activity and CO tolerance remained unchanged. The performance of the PtCo and PtRu catalysts is affected differently by heating. Heating the PtRu catalyst adversely affects its catalytic activity and its CO tolerance due to Pt depletion at the surface. In contrast, although Pt depletion also takes place for the heated PtCo catalysts, these catalysts show an even higher specific activity and approximately the same CO tolerance. The observed difference is likely due to the optimum atomic ratio difference for Ru/Pt and Co/Pt; an increased atomic ratio on the surface for Co/Pt results in an activity enhancement, which is contrary to the effect of the increase of Ru/Pt atomic ratio.

An adaptive sliding mode control(ASMC) method, based on fractional-order disturbance-observer(FODOB), is presented for a class of fractional-order nonlinear time-delay systems(FONTDS) with uncertainties to solve the target output tracking *** external disturbances are estimated by FODOB, and the unknown internal perturbations of the system are adaptively estimated by sliding mode control(SMC). Furthermore, Gronwall's inequality approach is used to ensure that the output tracking error is uniformly bounded for FONTDS. Firstly, a fractional-order sliding mode control(FOSMC) based FODOB is proposed for a fractional-order linear time-delay system(FOLTDS). Secondly, combined with adaptive estimation, the ASMC of FONTDS is studied. Finally, a numerical example of FONTDS is used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

This paper researches the strict dissipative control problem for uncertain fuzzy neutral Markov jump systems by Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy *** asynchronous phenomenon is considered between the uncertain fuzzy neutral Markov jump systems modes and asynchronous fuzzy P-D feedback controller modes,which is described by a hidden Markov *** using linear matrix inequalities,the desired asynchronous fuzzy P-D feedback controller is obtained,which can ensure that the closed-loop uncertain fuzzy neutral Markov jump systems satisfies robustly exponential mean square stabilization with strict dissipativity.A numerical example and a single-link robot arm are utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.

This paper deals with the problem of H-infinity filter design for uncertain time-delay singular stochastic systems with Markovian jump. Based on the extended It6 stochastic differential formula, sufficient conditions for the solvability of these problems are obtained. Furthermore, It is shown that a desired filter can be constructed by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
