To suppress the inner charge recombination and inject vast electrons,CdTe nanocrystals are embedded into ultrathin znIn_(2)S_(4) nanosheets to construct znIn_(2)S_(4)/CdTe heterostructures,where the nanocrystals are generated by a laser irradiation *** optimal znIn_(2)S_(4)/CdTe heterojunction exhibits an excellent catalytic activity of 24.3 mmol/h/g,which is relatively high among the znIn_(2)S_(4)-based photocatalysts with-out noble *** enhancement is ascribed to a win-win mechanism of nanoscale heterojunctions and sulfur *** strong electron coupling effect,which is verified by density functional the-ory(DFT)calculations,impels the photo-generated electrons transfer from CdTe to znIn_(2)S_(4),boosting the charge ***,the sulfur vacancies existing in znIn_(2)S_(4) can capture photoelectrons and act as active sites,facilitating the H_(2) generation *** addition,the znIn_(2)S_(4) base and the znIn_(2)S_(4)/CdTe heterojunction also possess an evident photothermal effect and renewable cycle phenomena,enhancing the photocatalytic *** research provides new insights into the regulation of charge transfer through embedding nanocrystals.

（Cu-Ni）/（10NiO-90NiFe204） cermet inert anodes containing metal Cu-Ni0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 wt pct were prepared and their corrosion resistance to Na3AlF6-Al2O3 melts was investigated. The results indicate that the content of metal Cu-Ni has little effect on the steady-state concentration of Ni in the electrolyte and the values could not be used to effectively differentiate their corrosion resistance. The steady-state concentration of Fe decreases from 304×10^-6 to 168×10^-6 and that of Cu increases from 21×10^-6 to 71×10^-6 with the content of metal Cu-Ni increasing from 0 to 20 wt pct. Post-examination shows that metallic phase Cu-Ni is corroded preferentially during electrolysis and many pores are left at the anode surface. Considering the corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity, the cermet containing metal Cu-Ni 5 wt pct should be selected and studied further.

Effects of oxygen and nitrogen on MC carbide in nickel-base superalloy K465 were investigated, because neither of the two gas elements was found to decide MC carbide morphology monotonically. The morphology of MC carbide under alloy solidified in conventional investment casting condition was observed to transform from script-type to block-type with the total oxygen and nitrogen content (gas content) in samples rising up from 1.2×10-6 mol/g to 2.6×10-6 mol/g. The area fraction and composition of the MC carbide also varied with increase of gas content. However, the morphology of MC carbide kept to be script-type even when gas content was up to 3.4×10-6 mol/g in samples solidified with a much higher cooling rate. These results indicate that effects of gas content on formation of MC carbide can be observed in specimens solidified with low cooling rate, but such changes in MC carbide cannot be found when the cooling rate is high.

Decolorization of Direct Black 22 by Aspergillus ficuum

The decolorization of Direct Black 22 by Aspergillus ficuum has been studied. It was found that Aspergillus ficuum could effectively decolorize Direct Black 22 especially when grown as pelleted mycelia. Results showed that the media containing Direct Black 22 at 50 mg/l could be decolorized by 98.05% of the initial color in 24 h. The optimum pH and temperature of decolorization are 4.0 and 33 °C respectively. Aeration was quite beneficial to decolorization. Medium composition and the concentration of Direct Black 22 could affect the rate of decolorization. The dye degraded products assayed by UV-visible spectrophotometer and macroscopic observation showed that the decolorization of Direct Black 22 by mycelial pellets includes two important processes: bioadsorption and biodegradation. The degradation experiment agree with the Michaelis-Menten kinetics equation.

Two distinct regimes of strain rate sensitivity on yield strength are found in a high-strength nantwinned *** yield strength increases from 1410 to 1776 MPa when the strain rate increases from 10–3 to 1400 *** is proposed from the measured small activation volume that the yielding of the nanotwinned steel at higher strain rates is governed by the dislocation bowing out from the carbon *** lower strain rates,however,the yielding is controlled by the continuous re-pinning of dislocations due to the fast diffused carbon atoms,which leads to the relative insensitivity of yield strength to the strain rate.

A zn‐based coating with durable hydrophobicity and good corrosion resistance was formed on a mild steel substrate,which involves electroplating zn from a non‐aqueous electrolyte,followed by passivation in an oleic acid(OA)*** electrodeposited zn coatings were porous,which facilitated the formation of a chemical conversion layer of zn oleate(zO)during OA *** zn coating after passivation had a twolayer structure,which included an outer layer of zO with a thickness of~26μm and an inner layer of zn with a thickness of~6μ*** outer layer zO is a type of metal soap with a smooth surface and durable hydrophobicity,such that water droplets can easily slip off its *** testing and electrochemical measurements in 3.5 wt.%NaCl aqueous solution indicate that the zn coating after OA passivation exhibits outstanding anti‐corrosion properties compared with those exhibited by pure zn *** corrosion products and mechanism of the two‐layer coating were *** study shows that smooth metal oleate coatings can provide hydrophobicity and corrosion resistance simultaneously to mild steel substrates.

Effect of forced-air cooling on the microstructure and age-hardening response of extruded Mg-Gd-Y-zn-zr alloy full with lPSO lamella

The homogenized Mg-8.2 Gd-3.8 Y-1.0 zn-0.4 zr(wt.%)alloy full of plate-shaped long period stacking ordered(lPSO)phases was hot extruded in the atmosphere and cooled by the forced-air,then the effect of forced-air cooling on the microstructure and age-hardening response of the alloy was investigated in this *** results show that in comparison with the extruded sample cooling in the atmosphere,the forced-air cooling restricts dynamic recrystallization(DRx)and brings about finer dynamic recrystallized(DRxed)grain size,stronger basal texture and higher dislocation ***,the forced-air cooling promotes the dynamic precipitation in the DRxed regions and facilitates formation of plate-shaped lPSO phases andγ’phases with smaller interspacing in the unrecrystallized(un DRxed)regions,then slightly restricts the precipitation ofβphases during *** peak-ageing treatment,the extruded sample with forced-air cooling shows superior tensile properties with a tensile yield strength of 439 MPa,an ultimate tensile strength of 493 MPa,and elongation to failure of 18.6%.

Developing efficient,stable and economical electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is a significant pathway to produce clean energy from water ***,the promising and highly efficient porous CoCrFeNiMo high entropy alloys(HEAs)were prepared by microwave sintering using Mg space *** to unique properties of high entropy alloys and abundant active surface area,the porous CoCrFeNiMo-20 Mg exhibits excellent catalytic performance and prominent electrochemical stability with a low overpotential of 220 mV to reach current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),a small Tafel slope of 59.0 mV dec^(-1) and long-term durability for 24 h in 1.0 M *** results of microstructure and element states indicate that crystal defects,porous structure and villous hydroxides are the reasons for high OER performance of the *** work not only provides a new way to prepare electrocatalysts,but also proves the important application of high entropy alloys in functional materials.

Microstructure Dependent Fatigue Cracking Resistance of Ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5zr-0.3Si Alloy

Fatigue cracking behavior from a notch was investigated at room temperature for ***-3.5Mo-1.5zr- 0.3Si （TClI） alloys with four different microstructures obtained at different cooling rates from the β transus temperature. It was found that the alloy with lamellar structures consisting of α/β lamellae or acicular α＇ martensite laths had a higher fatigue crack initiation threshold from the notch, while the bimodal structure with coarse a grain had a lower fatigue cracking resistance. The alloy with α/β lamellar structure showed a higher fatigue crack growth resistance. The length scales of the microstructures were characterized to correlate with fatigue cracking behavior. Fatigue cracking mechanism related to microstructures was discussed.
