Applicability of large-ion lithophile and high field strength element basalt discrimination diagrams

Basalt discriminant diagrams have been used to identify the tectonic setting of basaltic magmatism since the 1970s and have played an important role in reconstructing paleotectonic ***,the significant increase in the availability of geochemical data has led to a reassessment of these diagrams,suggesting that some of the tectonic settings indicated by these diagrams are not ***,we use a database of global ocean island basalt(OIB),mid-ocean ridge basalt(MORB),and island arc basalt(IAB)geochemistry to propose a series of new tectonic discriminant diagrams based on the ratios of large-ion lithophile elements(lIlEs)to high field strength elements(HFSEs).These new diagrams indicate that the lIlE can be used to differentiate OIB,MORB,and IAB samples,meaning that lIlE/HFSE ratios can discriminate between these basalts that form in different tectonic *** new diagrams can correctly assign samples to OIB,MORB,and IAB categories more than 85%of the time,with the discrimination between OIB and MORB having an accuracy of slightly less than 85%.

The worldwide proliferation of portable electronics has resulted in a dramatic increase in the number of spent lithium-ion batteries(lIBs).However,traditional recycling methods still have limitations because of such huge amounts of spent ***,we proposed an ecofriendly and sustainable double recycling strategy to concurrently reuse the cathode(liCoO_(2))and anode(graphite)materials of spent lIBs and recycled liCoPO_(4)/graphite(RlCPG)in li^(+)/PF^(-)_(6) co-de/intercalation dual-ion *** recycle-derived dualion batteries of li/RlCPG show impressive electrochemical performance,with an appropriate discharge capacity of 86.2 mAh·g^(-1) at25 mA·g^(-1) and 69%capacity retention after 400 *** recycling of the cathode and anode from spent lIBs avoids wastage of resources and yields cathode materials with excellent performance,thereby offering an ecofriendly and sustainable way to design novel secondary batteries.

In this paper,we aim to design a practical low complexity low-density parity-check(lDPC)coded scheme to build a secure open channel and protect information from *** this end,we first propose a punctured lDPC coded scheme,where the information bits in a codeword are punctured and only the parity check bits are transmitted to the *** further propose a notion of check node type distribution and derive multi-edge type extrinsic information transfer functions to estimate the security performance,instead of the well-known weak metric bit error *** optimize the check node type distribution in terms of the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)gap and modify the progressive edge growth algorithm to design finite-length *** results show that our proposed scheme can achieve a lower computational complexity and a smaller security gap,compared to the existing scrambling and puncturing schemes.

In-situ electron irradiation and aging are applied to introduce high-density precipitates in an Mg-10Gd-3Y-1Zn-0.5Zr(GWZ1031K,wt.%)alloy to improve the *** results show that the hardness of the Mg alloy after irradiation for 10 h and aging for 9 h at 250℃ is 1.64 GPa,which is approximately 64% higher than that of the samples before being *** is mainly attributed to γ'precipitates on the basal plane after irradiation and the high-density nanoscale β'precipitates on the prismatic plane after aging,which should be closely related to the irradiation-induced homogenous *** latter plays a key role in precipitation *** result paves a way to improve the mechanical properties of metallic materials by tailoring the precipitation through irradiation and aging.

Super-resolution reconstruction in medical imaging has become more demanding due to the necessity of obtaining high-quality images with minimal radiation dose,such as in low-field magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).However,image super-resolution reconstruction remains a difficult task because of the complexity and high textual requirements for diagnosis *** this paper,we offer a deep learning based strategy for reconstructing medical images from low resolutions utilizing Transformer and generative adversarial networks(T-GANs).The integrated system can extract more precise texture information and focus more on important locations through global image matching after successfully inserting Transformer into the generative adversarial network for picture ***,we weighted the combination of content loss,adversarial loss,and adversarial feature loss as the final multi-task loss function during the training of our proposed model *** comparison to established measures like peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)and structural similarity index measure(SSIM),our suggested T-GAN achieves optimal performance and recovers more texture features in super-resolution reconstruction of MRI scanned images of the knees and belly.

The“average occupant”methodology is widely used in energy consumption simulations of residential buildings;however,it fails to consider the differences in energy use behavior among family *** on a field survey on the Central Shaanxi Plain,to identify the energy use behavior patterns of typical families,a stochastic energy use behavior model considering differences in energy use behavior among family members was proposed,to improve the accuracy of energy consumption simulations of residential *** results indicated that the surveyed rural families could be classified into the following four types depending on specific energy use behavior patterns:families of one elderly couple,families of one middle-aged couple,families of one elderly couple and one child,and families of one couple and one ***,on typical summer days,the results of daily building energy consumption simulation obtained by the“average occupant”methodology were 25.39%and 28%lower than the simulation results obtained by the model proposed in this study for families of one elderly couple and families of one middle-aged couple,and 13.05%and 23.05%higher for families of one elderly couple and one child,and families of one couple and one *** typical winter days,for the four types of families,the results of daily building energy consumption simulation obtained by the“average occupant”methodology were 21.69%,10.84%,1.21%,and 8.39%lower than the simulation results obtained by the model proposed in this study,respectively.

The generation of ultrashort high-power light sources in the mid-infrared(mid-IR)to terahertz(THz)range is of interest for applications in a number of fields,from fundamental research to biology and *** conventional laser technology,photon deceleration in plasma wakes provides an alternative approach to the generation of ultrashort mid-IR or THz ***,we present a photon deceleration scheme for the efficient generation of ultrashort mid-IR or THz pulses by using an intense driver laser pulse with a relatively short wavelength and a signal laser pulse with a relatively long *** signal pulse trails the driver pulse with an appropriate time delay such that it sits at the front of the second wake bubble that is driven by the driver *** to its relatively long wavelength,the signal pulse will be subjected to a large gradient of the refractive index in the plasma wake ***,the photon deceleration in the plasma wake becomes faster and more efficient for signal pulses with longer *** greatly enhances the capacity and efficiency of photon deceleration in the generation of ultrashort high-power light sources in the long-wavelength IR and THz spectral ranges.

The triggering mechanism for radio lobes from late-type galaxies is not fully *** samples are desired for a thorough investigation and *** utilizing the optical data from the newly released Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument imaging surveys and the radio sources from the NRAO VlA Sky Survey and the Faint Images of the Radio Sky at Twenty-centimeter,we identify four late-type Galaxies with double Radio lobes(la GRls):J0217-3645,J0947+6220,J1412+3723 and J1736+*** previously known la GRls,we confirm the correlation between radio power P_(1.4GHz)and stellar mass M_(*)of host ***(25/35)la GRls belong to the blue cloud galaxies,while the newly identified cases in this work are located within the region of the red *** find a clear correlation between the differential radio power,i.e.,the offset from the P_(1.4GHz)-M_(*)relation,and the galaxy color,indicating that bluer galaxies at a fixed M_(*)tend to host more powerful radio ***,the majority(31/36)of la GRls are either located in a galaxy group or displaying a disturbed *** suggest that all of the galaxy mass,color and surrounding environment could play important roles in triggering radio lobes in late-type galaxies.
