Effect of friction on corrosion behaviors of AISI 304 and Cr26Mo1 stainless steels in different solutions

The corrosion and tribocorrosion behaviors of AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel and Cr26Mo1 ultrapure high chromium ferrite stainless steel in 3.5 wt.%NaCl and 0.5 mol/L H2SO4 solutions were *** electrochemical measurement technology was applied to identify electrochemistry behaviors during tribocorrosion tests in *** surface morphologies and compositions of the wear tracks were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and Raman *** results showed that compositions of stainless steels,corrosive mediums and applied loads have great influence on tribocorrosion behaviors of stainless ***,the corrosion resistance in static state of stainless steels primarily dominates its tribocorrosion behavior;meanwhile,better mechanical properties are in favor of tribocorrosion ***,the corrosion rate is promoted significantly in 3.5%NaCl solution by friction,while the tendency is inconspicuous in 0.5 mol/L H2SO4 *** but not least,passive films on stainless steels can be wiped off by small friction *** the increase in applied load,the effect of friction converts to forming friction oxide film from removing passivation film,so that a critical load exists below which the friction force can promote the corrosion process extremely.

Electron tomography for sintered ceramic materials by a neural network algebraic reconstruction technique

The missing wedge effect in electron tomography introduces various types of artifacts in the tomograms and lowers the reconstruction resolution and *** artifacts produced in tomographic reconstruction of bulk materials can be very severe,particularly for sintered bulk ceramic materials in which there are often nano-pores or pore-like microstructure ***,we report a neural network algebraic reconstruction algorithm with no prior knowledge to perform electron tomography for a sintered SiC material with nano carbon *** results show that the proposed algorithm has a great suppressive effect on the missing wedge artifacts and a high tolerance for *** information in the missing wedge can be partly recovered by this ***,both the shape of the bulk SiC specimen and its irregular inner pore-like features are correctly retrieved in the obtained 3d *** study shows the effectiveness of the neural network algorithm for improving the reconstruction accuracy of electron tomography,in order to reveal sophisticated 3d microstructures generally existing in sintered ceramic materials.

Anneal hardening has been one of the approaches to improve mechanical properties of solid solution alloys with the face-centered cubic(FCC) structure,whereby a considerable strengthening can be attained by annealing of cold-worked alloys below the recrystallization temperature(T_(rx)).Microscopically,this hardening effect has been ascribed to several mechanisms,*** segregation to defects(dislocation and stacking fault) and short-range chemical ordering,***,none of these mechanisms can well explain the anneal hardening recently observed in phase-pure and coarse-grained FCC-structured high-entropy alloys(HEAs).Here we report the observations,using high-resolution electron channeling contrast imaging and transmission electron microscopy,of profuse and stable dislocation substructures in a cold-rolled CoCrFeMnNi HEA subject to an annealing below T_(rx).The dislocation substructures are observed to be thermally stable up to T_(rx),which could arise from the chemical complexity of the high-entropy system where certain elemental diffusion retardation *** microstructure feature is markedly different from that of conventional dilute solid solution alloys,in which dislocation substructures gradually vanish by recovery during annealing,leading to a strength ***,dilute addition of 2 at.% Al leads to a reduction in both microhardness and yield strength of the cold-rolled and subsequently annealed(≤500℃) *** Al induced softening effect,could be associated with the anisotropic formation of dislocation substructure,resulting from enhanced dislocation planar slip due to glide plane softening *** findings suggest that the strength of HEAs can be tailored through the anneal hardening effect from dislocation substructure strengthening.

The ^(12)C+^(12)C fusion reaction was studied in the range of E_(c.m.)=8.9 to 21 MeV using the active-target Time Projection *** full information on all tracks of the reaction products,cross sections of the^(12)C(^(12)C,^(8)Be)^(16)O_(g.s.)channel and the ^(12)C(^(12)C,3a)^(12)C channel could be measured down to the level of a few *** ^(12)C(^(12)C,^(8)Be)^(16)O_(g.s.)reaction channel was determined to be 10_(-8)^(+24) mb at E_(c.m.)=11.1 MeV,supporting the direct a transfer reaction *** ^(12)C(^(12)C,3α)^(12)C reaction channel was studied for the first time using an exclusive *** result does not confirm the anomaly behavior reported in the previous inclusive measurement by Kolata et al.[***.C 21,579(1980)].Our comparisons with statistical model calculations suggest that the 3 a channel is dominated by the fusion evaporation process at E_(c.m.)>19 *** additional contribution of the 3 a channel increases the fusion reaction cross section by 10% at energies above 20 *** also find that an additional reaction mechanism is needed to explain the measured cross section at E_(c.m.)del prediction vanishes.

The treatment and disposal of radioactive waste are presently facing great *** ion exchange resins have become a focus of attention due to their high production and serious environmental *** this paper,a simplified model of cationic exchange resin is proposed,and the degradation processes of cationic resin monomer initiated by hydroxyl radicals(·OH)are clarified by combining statistical molecular fragmentation(SMF)model and density functional theory(dFT)*** prediction of active sites indicates that the S-O bonds and the C-S bond of the sulfonic group are more likely to react during the *** meta-position of the sulfonic group on the benzene ring is the most active site,and the benzene ring without the sulfonic group has a certain *** C11-C14 and C17-C20 bonds,on the carbon skeleton,are the most easily *** is also found that dihydroxy addition and elimination reactions play a major role in the process of desulfonation,carbon skeleton cleavage and benzene ring *** decomposition mechanisms found through the combination of physical models and chemical calculations,provide theoretical guidance for the treatment of complex polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

(La, Sr)(Al,Ta)O(LSAT)single crystal is a mixed-perovskite of LaAlO and SrAlTaO with the ratio between LaAlO and SrAlTaO of (LaAlO)(SrAlTaO). The crystal has a cubic crystal structure. The thermal expansion and the lattice constant of LSAT are α=5.8x10K and a=0.737nm, respectively. Large size LSAT crystals of high quality have been successfully grown by the Czochralski technique. Cognition on oxidation behavior of Ni-based superalloy GH4742 when exposed to water vapor

The oxidation behavior of Ni-based superalloy GH4742 exposed to water vapor was investigated at 900-1100℃for 50 h in Ar+20%H_(2)O,with Ar+20%O_(2)included for *** presence of H_(2)O is adverse to formation of continuous Cr_(2)O_(3)oxide layer but contributes to generation of big *** on this,Ni^(2+)and Co^(2+)are more easily to diffuse towards the outermost oxide layer(OOL),forming non-protective Ni-and Co-rich oxides with high *** leads to a higher weight gain in Ar+20%H_(2)O than that in Ar+20%O_(2).At elevated temperatures,the spallation of oxide scale occurs while the consumption of Cr is reduced in Ar+20%H_(2)O,and the contents of Ni-and Co-rich oxides at this moment are reduced in the *** oxidation mechanism was also discussed.

From 0d to 3d:Hierarchical structured high-performance free-standing silicon anodes based on binder-induced topological network architecture

Free-standing silicon anodes with high proportion of active materials have aroused great attention;however,the mechanical stability and electrochemical performance are severely ***,to resolve the appeal issues,a free-standing anode with a"corrugated paper"shape on micro-scale and a topological crosslinking network on the submicron and nano-scale is ***,an integrated three-dimensional electrode structure is constructed based on robust carbon nanotubes network with firmly anchored SiNPs via forming interlocking *** which,the hierarchical interlocking structure is achieved by directional induction of the binder,which ensures well integration during cycling so that significantly enhances mechanical stability as well as electronic and ionic conductivity of *** from it,this anode exhibits outsta nding performance under harsh service conditions including high Si loading,ultrahigh areal capacity(33.2 mA h cm^(-2)),and high/low temperatures(-15-60℃),which significantly extends its practical ***,the optimization mechanism of this electrode is explored to verify the crack-healing and structure-integration maintaining along cycling via a unique self-stabilization ***,from both the fundamental and engineering views,this strategy offers a promising path to produce high-performance free-standing electrodes for flexible device applications especially facing volume effect challenges.

In the past 5 years,there has been significant research interest in the intrinsic magnetic topological insulator family compounds MnBi2+2nTe4+3n（where n=0,1,2…）.In particular,exfoliated thin films of MnBi2Te4have led to numerous experimental breakthroughs,such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect,axion insulator phase and high-Chern number quantum Hall effect without Landau ***,despite extensive efforts,the energy gap of the topological surface states due to exchange magnetic coupling,which is a key feature of the characteristic band structure of the system,remains experimentally *** electronic structure measured by using angle-resolved photoemission （ARPES） shows significant deviation from ab initio prediction and scanning tunneling spectroscopy measurements,making it challenging to understand the transport results based on the electronic *** paper reviews the measurements of the band structure of MnBi2+2nTe4+3nmagnetic topological insulators using ARPES,focusing on the evolution of their electronic structures with temperature,surface and bulk doping and film *** aim of the review is to construct a unified picture of the electronic structure of MnBi2+2nTe4+3ncompounds and explore possible control of their topological properties.

dCVAE-adv:A Universal Adversarial Example Generation Method for White and Black Box Attacks

deep neural network(dNN)has strong representation learning ability,but it is vulnerable and easy to be fooled by adversarial *** order to handle the vulnerability of dNN,many methods have been *** general idea of existing methods is to reduce the chance of dNN models being fooled by observing some designed adversarial examples,which are generated by adding perturbations to the original *** this paper,we propose a novel adversarial example generation method,called *** from the existing methods,dCVAE-adv constructs adversarial examples by mixing both explicit and implicit perturbations without using original ***,the proposed method can be applied to both white box and black box *** addition,in the inference stage,the adversarial examples can be generated without loading the original images into memory,which greatly reduces the memory *** compared dCVAE-adv with three most advanced adversarial attack algorithms:FGSM,AdvGAN,and AdvGAN++.The experimental results demonstrate that dCVAE-adv is superior to these state-of-the-art methods in terms of attack success rate and transfer ability for targeted *** code is available at https://***/xzforeverlove/dCVAE-adv.
