Wildfires are important sources of ozone by emitting large amounts of NOx and NMVOC,main ozone precursors,at both global and regional *** influences on ozone in the *** West have recently received much interest because surface ozone concentrations over that region showed an increasing trend in the past two decades likely due to increasing wildfire emissions in a warming *** we use the Lagrangian particle dispersion model（FLExPART） as well as the GEOS-Chem chemical transport model to study the relationship between wildfires and ozone concentration in the US Intermountain West in the past 22 years（1989-2010） at both daily and inter-annual *** combined the resident time estimates from the FLExPART 5-day backward trajectories and a high-resolution fire inventory to define a fire index describing the impact of wildfires on ozone concentration at a particular site for each day of the summers *** 26000 simulations of FLExPART back-trajectories were conducted for the whole time period and for the 13 CASTNet surface monitoring *** ozone episodes were found associated with high fire index and *** built multiple linear regression（MLR） models of daily ozone concentrations using fire index and other meteorological variables（temperature,wind speed,and relative humidity） for each year at each *** regression models explained 42% of the ozone variations（ranging from 23% to 68% for each site）,and showed that ozone productions of biomass burning are of high variability（ranging from 0.1 ppbv to 18.7 ppbv）.We further conducted the GEOS-Chem nested simulation for summer *** ozone influences were calculated as the difference between the standard simulations and a sensitivity simulation with wildfire emissions turned *** showed wildfire ozone influences estimated from the two approaches were highly correlated,indicating consistency between the Lagrangian and Eulerian models.

A total eclipse occurred on 11 August 1999 with its path of totality passing over central Europe in the latitude range 40°-50°*** ionospheric responses to this eclipse were measured by a wide ionosonde *** the basis of the measurements of foE,foF1,and foF2 at sixteen ionosonde stations in Europe,we statistically analyze the variations of these parameters with a function of eclipse *** model the eclipse effects more accurately,a revised eclipse factor,F,is constructed to describe the variations of solar radiation during the solar *** we simulate the effect of this eclipse on the ionosphere with a mid- and low-latitude ionosphere theoretical model by using the revised eclipse factor during this *** are highly consistent with the observations for the response in the E-region and *** of them show that the maximum response of the mid-latitude ionosphere to the eclipse is found in the *** the obvious ionospheric response at low altitudes below 500 km,calculations show that there is also a small response at high altitudes up to about 2000 *** addition,calculations show that when the eclipse takes place in the Northern Hemisphere,a small ionospheric disturbance also appeared in the conjugate hemisphere.

[1]The present work studies the correlation relationship between the longitudinal ionospheric structure of wave number 4(WN4) and the upper atmospheric tide of nonmigrating tidal mode DE3(diurnal eastward wave number 3).Global ionospheric maps produced by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory were used to deduce the latitudinal integration of total electron content in the low-latitude ionosphere,and TIDI/TIMED observations were used to retrieve the atmospheric zonal and meridional *** applying Fourier filtering and fitting techniques,the WN4 wave and DE3 tidal components are derived from the ionospheric and upper atmospheric observations,*** found that the observed WN4 wave and DE3 zonal wind components experience very similar annual and interannual variations,but the DE3 meridional wind component behaves in a quite different *** WN4 and DE3 zonal winds are very intense during northern summer and autumn;they also appear in the later spring,but tend to vanish in winter. Their amplitudes increase as the solar activity decreases,and both are stronger in the quasi-biennial oscillation(QBO) eastward wind phase than in the westward *** the same time,the DE3 meridional wind likes to occur only in winter and seems not change with solar activity and QBO *** further studied the correlation between the WN4 wave and the two wind components of the DE3 *** found that the cross-correlation coefficient between the WN4 wave and the DE3 zonal wind is much larger,while that between the WN4 wave and the DE3 meridional wind is relatively *** different correlations are attributed to the different latitudinal symmetry of different DE3 wind *** DE3 zonal wind is likely in latitudinally symmetric tidal mode;hence,it can efficiently affect the F region ion *** contrast,the meridional wind is mainly in antisymmetric mode and thus seldom affects the ionospheric *** present results support the suggestion that the longitudinal WN4 s

Targeting capabilities of engineered extracellular vesicles for the treatment of neurological diseases

The study by Yang et al presents a comprehensive investigation into the thera-peutic potential of curcumin for gastric cancer(GC).Using network pharma-cology,the researchers identified 48 curcumin-related genes,31 of which overlap with GC *** genes,including ESR1,EGFR,CYP3A4,MAPK14,CYP1A2,and CYP2B6,are linked to poor survival in GC *** docking con-firmed strong binding affinity of curcumin to these *** vitro experiments demonstrated that curcumin effectively inhibits the growth and proliferation of BGC-823,suggesting its therapeutic potential in GC through multiple targets and pathways.

Pulp health and calcific healing of a complicated crown–root fracture with additional root fracture in a maxillary incisor: A case report

BACKGROUND Complicated crown–root fracture (CRF) involves severe injury to the crown, root,and pulp, and may be accompanied by multiple root fractures. The loss of a toothhas lifelong consequences for children and teenagers, but the maintenance of pulphealth and the calcific healing of multiple root fractures are rarely reported in *** SUMMARY This case reports healing of a permanent tooth with complicated crown–root andadditional root fractures, in which pulp health was maintained. A 10-year-old girlfell and fractured the root of her maxillary left central incisor at the cervical *** the coronal fragment was repositioned, the tooth was splinted until thetooth was no longer mobile, 2 years later. Eight years after treatment, the toothhas remained asymptomatic with vital pulp and localized gingival ***-beam computed tomography revealed not only calcified healing of the CRFbut also spontaneous healing in an additional undiagnosed root fracture. Thefracture line on the enamel could not be healed by hard tissue and formed agroove in the cervical crown. It was speculated that the groove was related to thelocalized gingival *** This case provides a clinical perspective of the treatment of a tooth with acomplicated CRF and an additional root fracture.

The cGAS–STING pathway plays an important role in ischemia-reperfusion injury in the heart,liver,brain,and kidney,but its role and mechanisms in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury have not been systematically ***,we outline the components of the cGAS–STING pathway and then analyze its role in autophagy,ferroptosis,cellular pyroptosis,disequilibrium of calcium homeostasis,inflammatory responses,disruption of the blood–brain barrier,microglia transformation,and complement system activation following cerebral ischemia-reperfusion *** further analyze the value of cGAS–STING pathway inhibitors in the treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and conclude that the pathway can regulate cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury through multiple *** of the cGAS–STING pathway may be helpful in the treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.
