Investigation of improving the thermophysical properties and corrosion resistance of rE_(2)SiO_(5)/rE_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)multiphase silicates by component design with rE doping

In this research,a novel method for regulating components in rE_(2)SiO_(5)/rE_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)multiphase silicates was developed,combining the benefits of a suitable thermal expansion coefficient(CTE)and outstanding corrosion resistance against calcium–magnesium–alumino–silicate(CMAS).This approach enhanced the overall thermophysical ***,the results from the CMAS corrosion resistance test indicated that(Lu_(1/3)Yb_(1/3)Tm_(1/3))_(2)SiO_(5)/(Lu_(1/3)Yb_(1/3)Tm_(1/3))_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)and(Lu_(1/4)Yb_(1/4)Tm_(1/4)Er_(1/4))_(2)SiO_(5)/(Lu_(1/4)Yb_(1/4)Tm_(1/4)Er_(1/4))_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)exhibited exceptional resistance to CMAS penetration,even at temperatures up to 1500℃.To comprehend the corrosion mechanism of CMAS on these silicates,we introduced a reaction–diffusion model,which involved observing the changes in the interface between the corrosion product layer and the silicate *** was achieved using electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD).These findings lay a theoretical basis for selecting rare earth elements in rE_(2)SiO_(5)/rE_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)multiphase silicates based on the radii of different rare earth cations.

Energy Efficiency Maximization in Mobile Edge Computing Networks via IrS assisted UAV Communications

In this paper,we investigate the energy efficiency maximization for mobile edge computing(MEC)in intelligent reflecting surface(IrS)assisted unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)*** particular,UAVcan collect the computing tasks of the terrestrial users and transmit the results back to them after *** jointly optimize the users’transmitted beamforming and uploading ratios,the phase shift matrix of IrS,and the UAV trajectory to improve the energy *** formulated optimization problem is highly non-convex and difficult to be solved ***,we decompose the original problem into three *** first propose the successive convex approximation(SCA)based method to design the beamforming of the users and the phase shift matrix of IrS,and apply the Lagrange dual method to obtain a closed-form expression of the uploading *** the trajectory optimization,we propose a block coordinate descent(BCD)based method to obtain a local optimal ***,we propose the alternating optimization(AO)based overall algorithmand analyzed its complexity to be equivalent or lower than existing *** results show the superiority of the proposedmethod compared with existing schemes in energy efficiency.

Effectively improving the extreme-pressure capacity of a class of intercalated zirconium phosphate materials

We studied different long-chain ammonium ions intercalated zirconium phosphate α-ZrP, methylamine intercalated ZrP(MAZrP), tetramethylammonium hydroxide intercalated ZrP(TMAH-ZrP), dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide intercalated ZrP(DTAB-ZrP), and stearyl trimethyl ammonium bromide intercalated ZrP(STAB-ZrP) as grease co-additives in combination with isobutylene sulfide(SIB). The grease with co-additives displayed excellent extreme-pressure and anti-wear ***, the combination of the longest chain ammonium ion intercalated zirconium phosphate, STAB-ZrP/SIB, had the best tribological properties. In comparison to α-ZrP, the advantage of STAB-ZrP was that it did not form a large area of the dense physical film like α-ZrP on the worn surface, but rather gave the SIB a chance to contact with the fresh metal surface to generate a chemical film. Therefore, the sub-micron physical film and nanoscale chemical film always exist side by side on the contact surface during the friction process. This intercalated α-ZrP/SIB additive has great potential for use in harsh operating conditions.

Development of a cell adhesion-based prognostic model for multiple myeloma:Insights into chemotherapy response and potential reversal of adhesion effects

Multiple myeloma(MM)is a hematologic malignancy notorious for its high relapse rate and development of drug resistance,in which cell adhesion-mediated drug resistance plays a critical *** study integrated four rNA sequencing datasets(CoMMpass,GSE136337,GSE9782,and GSE2658)and focused on analyzing 1706 adhesionrelated *** univariate Cox regression analysis identified 18 key prognosis-related genes,including KIF14,TrOAP,FLNA,MSN,LGALS1,PECAM1,and ALCAM,which demonstrated the strongest associations with poor overall survival(OS)in MM *** comprehensively evaluate the impact of cell adhesion on MM prognosis,an adhesion-related risk score(ArrS)model was constructed using Lasso Cox regression *** ArrS model emerged as an independent prognostic factor for predicting ***,our findings revealed that a heightened cell adhesion effect correlated with tumor resistance to DNA-damaging drugs,protein kinase inhibitors,and drugs targeting the PI3K/Akt/mTOr signaling ***,we identified promising drug candidates,such as tirofiban,pirenzepine,erlotinib,and bosutinib,which exhibit potential in reversing this *** vitro,experiments employing NCIH929,rPMI8226,and AMO1 cell lines confirmed that MM cell lines with high ArrS exhibited poor sensitivity to the aforementioned candidate *** employing sirNA-mediated knockdown of the key ArrS model gene KIF14,we observed suppressed proliferation of NCIH929 cells,along with decreased adhesion to BMSCs and *** study presents compelling evidence establishing cell adhesion as a significant prognostic factor in ***,potential molecular mechanisms underlying adhesion-related resistance are proposed,along with viable strategies to overcome such *** findings provide a solid scientific foundation for facilitating clinically stratified treatment of MM.

Holevo bound independent of weight matrices for estimating two parameters of a qubit

Holevo bound plays an important role in quantum metrology as it sets the ultimate limit for multi-parameter estimations,which can be asymptotically *** for some trivial cases,the Holevo bound is implicitly defined and formulated with the help of weight *** we report the first instance of an intrinsic Holevo bound,namely,without any reference to weight matrices,in a nontrivial ***,we prove that the Holevo bound for estimating two parameters of a qubit is equivalent to the joint constraint imposed by two quantum Cramér–rao bounds corresponding to symmetric and right logarithmic *** weightless form of Holevo bound enables us to determine the precise range of independent entries of the mean-square error matrix,i.e.,two variances and one covariance that quantify the precisions of the estimation,as illustrated by different estimation *** result sheds some new light on the relations between the Holevo bound and quantum Cramer–rao *** generalizations are discussed.

Heterogeneous reaction of mineral aerosols and atmospheric polluting gases play an important role in atmospheric *** this study,the reactions of NO_(2) with or without SO_(2) mixture gas on the surface of α-Fe_(2)O_(3) particles under dry conditions were *** effects of sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)and the heterogeneous reaction under both dark and UV irradiation conditions were *** infrared spectrum analyzed by the two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy(2D-COS)was used to obtain the products formation *** results showed that UV irradiation can promote the production of *** 2D-COS analysis indicated SDS changed the sequence order of nitrate and nitrite species during *** oxidation conditions,the final product of heterogeneous reaction of NO_(2) and α-Fe_(2)O_(3) was monodentate *** the heterogenous reaction of NO_(2) and α-Fe_(2)O_(3) containing SDS(FOS)without UV light,the final product was bidentate *** was the catalysis agent supply and photoresist to the *** surface active compounds,the environmental lifetime of heterogeneous reactions between trace gases and aerosols ***,ultraviolet light,and the types of gases involved in the reaction all have complex effects on the aerosol aging *** study provided a reference for subsequent heterogeneous reaction studies and the formation of aerosols.

Synergistic CO_(2) mineralization using coal fly ash and red mud as a composite system

CO_(2) mineralization plays a critical role in the storage and utilization of CO_(2).Coal fly ash(CFA)and red mud(rM)are widely utilized as CO_(2) ***,the inert calcium species in CFA limit its carbonation capacity,meanwhile the substantial Ca^(2+)releasing of rM is hindered by a covering layer of calcium *** this study,CO_(2) mineralization in a composite system of CFA and rM was investigated to enhance the carbonation *** analyzers were employed to characterize the raw materials and resulting mineralization *** results demonstrated that a synergistic effect existed in the composite system of CFA and rM,resulting in improving CO_(2) mineralization rate and *** produced calcium carbonate was ectopically attached the surface of CFA in the composite system,thus slowing down its coverage on the surface of *** phenomenon facilitated further releasing Ca^(2+)from the internal rM,thereby enhancing CO_(2) mineralization ***,the inclusion of rM significantly improved the alkalinity of the composite system,which not only promoted the dissolution of Ca^(2+)of the inert CaSO_(4)(H_(2)O)_(2) in CFA,but also accelerated CO_(2) mineralization *** investigation would be beneficial to CO_(2) mineralization using industrial solid wastes.

■-dressing Method for the Coupled Two-component Kundu-Eckhaus Equations

In this paper,■-dressing method based on a local 3×3 matrix ■-problem with non-normalization boundary conditions is used to investigate coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus ***,we propose a new compatible system with singular dispersion relation,that is time spectral problem and spatial spectral problem of coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus equations via constraint ***,we derive a hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations by introducing a recursive *** last,by solving constraint matrixes,a spectral transform matrix is given which is sufficiently important for finding soliton solutions of potential function,and we obtain N-soliton solutions of coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus equations.

Groundwater quality assessment and prediction(GQAP)is vital for protecting groundwater *** GQAP methods can not adequately capture the complex relationships among attributes and have the disadvantage of being computationally ***,the application of machine learning(ML)in GAQP(GQAPxML)has been widely studied due to ML’s reliability and *** many GQAPxML publications exist,a thorough review is *** review provides a comprehensive summary of the development of ML applications in the field of ***,the workflow of ML modeling is briefly introduced,as are data preparation,model development,model evaluation,and model ***,299 publications related to the topic are filtered,mainly through ML ***,many aspects of GQAPxML,such as publication trends,the spatial distribution of study areas,the size of data sets,and ML algorithms,are discussed from a bibliometric *** addition,we review in detail the well-established applications and recent findings for several subtopics,including groundwater quality assessment,groundwater quality modeling using groundwater quality parameters,groundwater quality spatial mapping,probability estimation of exceeding the groundwater quality threshold,groundwater quality temporal prediction,and the hybrid use of ML and physics-based ***,the development of GQAPxML is explored from three perspectives:data collection and preprocessing,model building and evaluation,and the broadening of model *** review provides a reference for environmental scientists to better understand GQAPxML and promotes the development of innovative methods and improvements in modeling quality.

Cationic starch microparticles with integrated antibacterial and hemostatic performance

It is urgently demanded to develop biomaterials with balanced hemostatic/antibacterial ability and facile preparation methods. In this work, cationic starch microparticles(MSQP), prepared by the facile grafting of microporous starch particles(MS) with tunable quaternized polyethyleneimine, were readily constructed as promising hemostatic materials for integrated antibacterial and hemostatic performance. The cationic grafts not only endowed MSQP with good antibacterial ability, but also benefited from biocompatible MS to achieve favorable biocompatibility. Moreover, in vitro results confirmed the superior hemostatic property of MSQP2(with the medium content of cationic grafts) among three MSQP and pristine MS. After investigating the bloodmaterial interactions of MSQP/MS, the procoagulant mechanism of MSQP2 was revealed that the optimal amount of cationic grafts achieves highly balanced plasma-protein adhesion, platelet adhesion and blood coagulation system. In vivo artery-injury model further demonstrated the superior hemostatic performance of MSQP2 for potential severe hemorrhage. This work sheds light on the design of cationic polymer-based biomaterials for balanced antibacterial and hemostatic functions.
