We examine electron kinetic effects in broadband-laser-driven back-stimulated Raman scattering(BSRS)bursts using particle-in-cell *** bursts occur during the nonlinear stage,causing reflectivity spikes and generating large numbers of hot ***-duration simulations are performed to observe burst events,and a simplified model is developed to eliminate the interference of the broadband laser’s random intensity *** the simplified model,we isolate and characterize the spectrum of electron plasma *** spectrum changes from a sideband structure to a turbulence-like structure during the burst.A significant asymmetry in the spectrum is *** asymmetry is amplified and transferred to electron phase space by high-intensity broadband laser pulses,leading to violent vortex-merging and generation of hot *** proportion of hot electrons increases from 6.76%to 14.7%during a single violent burst *** demonstrate that kinetic effects profoundly influence the BSRS evolution driven by broadband lasers.

Automatically detecting learners’ engagement levels helps to develop more effective online teaching and assessment programs, allowing teachers to provide timely feedback and make personalized adjustments based on students’ needs to enhance teaching effectiveness. Traditional approaches mainly rely on single-frame multimodal facial spatial information, neglecting temporal emotional and behavioural features, with accuracy affected by significant pose variations. Additionally, convolutional padding can erode feature maps, affecting feature extraction’s representational capacity. To address these issues, we propose a hybrid neural network architecture, the redistributing facial features and temporal convolutional network (RefEIP). This network consists of three key components: first, utilizing the spatial attention mechanism large kernel attention (LKA) to automatically capture local patches and mitigate the effects of pose variations; second, employing the feature organization and weight distribution (FOWD) module to redistribute feature weights and eliminate the impact of white features and enhancing representation in facial feature maps. Finally, we analyse the temporal changes in video frames through the modern temporal convolutional network (ModernTCN) module to detect engagement levels. We constructed a near-infrared engagement video dataset (NEVD) to better validate the efficiency of the RefEIP network. Through extensive experiments and in-depth studies, we evaluated these methods on the NEVD and the Database for Affect in Situations of Elicitation (DAiSEE), achieving an accuracy of 90.8% on NEVD and 61.2% on DAiSEE in the four-class classification task, indicating significant advantages in addressing engagement video analysis problems. © 2024 The Authors. Excretory/secretory proteins of Haemonchus contortus(HcESPs) intermingle comprehensively with host immune cells and modulate the host immune *** this study,*** ES antigen named as Elongation factor 1 alpha(HcEF-1α) was cloned and *** influences of recombinant HcEF-1α on multiple functions of goat peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) were observed in vitro,Immuno-blot analysis revealed that rHcEF-1αwas recognized by the serum of goat infected with *** analysis indicated that rHcEF-1α was bound on surface of ***,EF-1α was mainly localized at the exterior surface and interior gut region of the adult *** productions of IL-4,TGF-β1,IFN-γ and IL-17 of cells were significantly modulated by the incubation with rHcEF-1α.However,the production of interleukin IL-10 was *** migration,cell proliferation and cell apoptosis were significantly increased;however,nitric oxide production(NO) was significantly *** MHC-Ⅱ molecule expression of cells incubated with rHcEF-1α was increased significantly,whereas MHC-I was not changed as compared to the control groups(PBS control and pET32 a).These findings indicated that rHcEF-1α protein might mediate the immune responses of the host during the host and parasite interactions.

Obtaining high precision is an important consideration for astrometric studies using images from the Narrow Angle Camera(NAC)of the Cassini Imaging Science Subsystem(ISS).Selecting the best centering algorithm is key to enhancing astrometric *** this study,we compared the accuracy of five centering algorithms:Gaussian fitting,the modified moments method,and three point-spread function(PSF)fitting methods(effective PSF(ePSF),PSFEx,and extended PSF(x PSF)from the Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Operations(CICLOPS)).We assessed these algorithms using 70 ISS NAC star field images taken with CL1 and CL2 filters across different stellar *** ePSF method consistently demonstrated the highest accuracy,achieving precision below 0.03 pixels for stars of magnitude *** to the previously considered best,the modified moments method,the e PSF method improved overall accuracy by about 10%and 21%in the sample and line directions,***,the xPSF model provided by CICLOPS had lower precision than the ***,the ePSF exhibits an improvement in measurement precision of 23%and 17%in the sample and line directions,respectively,over the *** discrepancy might be attributed to the xPSF focusing on photometry rather than *** findings highlight the necessity of constructing PSF models specifically tailored for astrometric purposes in NAC images and provide guidance for enhancing astrometric measurements using these ISS NAC images.

The superτ-charm facility(STCF)is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics *** is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of 0.5×10^(35) cm^(–2)·s^(–1) or *** STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the presentτ-charm factory—the BEPCII,providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter(charge-parity violation),in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions,as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard *** STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&D *** document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF,describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system,and discusses future plans for detector R&D and physics case studies.

Using Hodge theory and Banach fixed point theorem,Liu and zhu developed a global method to deal with various problems in deformation *** this note,the authors generalize Liu-zhu's method to treat two deformation problems for non-Kahler *** apply the ■■-Hodge theory to construct a deformation formula for(p,q)-forms of compact complex manifold under deformations,which can be used to study the Hodge number of complex manifold under *** the second part of this note,by using the ■■-Hodge theory,they provide a simple proof of the unobstructed deformation theorem for the non-Kahler Calabi-Yau ■■-manifolds.

To solve the divergence problem and overcome the difficulty in guaranteeing filtering accuracy during estimation of the process noise covariance or the measurement noise covariance with traditional new information-based nonlinear filtering methods,we design a new method for estimating noise statistical characteristics of nonlinear systems based on the credibility Kalman Filter(KF)theory considering noise *** method first extends credibility to the Unscented Kalman Filter(UKF)and Extended Kalman Filter(EKF)based on the credibility ***,an optimization model for nonlinear credibility under noise related conditions is established considering noise correlation.A combination of filtering smoothing and credibility iteration formula is used to improve the real-time performance of the nonlinear adaptive credibility KF algorithm,further expanding its application scenarios,and the derivation process of the formula theory is ***,the performance of the nonlinear credibility filtering algorithm is simulated and analyzed from multiple perspectives,and a comparative analysis conducted on specific experimental *** simulation and experimental results show that the proposed credibility EKF and credibility UKF algorithms can estimate the noise covariance more accurately and effectively with lower average estimation time than traditional methods,indicating that the proposed algorithm has stable estimation performance and good real-time performance.

In some military application scenarios,Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)need to perform missions with the assistance of on-board cameras when radar is not available and communication is interrupted,which brings challenges for UAV autonomous navigation and collision *** this paper,an improved deep-reinforcement-learning algorithm,Deep q-Network with a Faster R-CNN model and a Data Deposit Mechanism(FRDDM-DqN),is proposed.A Faster R-CNN model(FR)is introduced and optimized to obtain the ability to extract obstacle information from images,and a new replay memory Data Deposit Mechanism(DDM)is designed to train an agent with a better *** training,a two-part training approach is used to reduce the time spent on training as well as retraining when the scenario *** order to verify the performance of the proposed method,a series of experiments,including training experiments,test experiments,and typical episodes experiments,is conducted in a 3D simulation *** results show that the agent trained by the proposed FRDDM-DqN has the ability to navigate autonomously and avoid collisions,and performs better compared to the FRDqN,FR-DDqN,FR-Dueling DqN,YOLO-based YDDM-DqN,and original FR outputbased FR-ODqN.
