Human activities on street spaces are affected by both physical and non-physical settings on *** two aspects are primarily impacted by land use which results in the uneven distribution of different activities on *** research investigates land use patterns and their characteristics in association to user’s *** using mixed qualitative and quantitative research methods,e.g.,place-centered behavioral map,observation,visual encounter surveys,machine learning,the relationship between user’s behavior and land use characteristics along the street is *** user behaviors along both types of streets were classified into six main categories,with 26 *** observation results show that the residential use of land along the street was transformed into the commercial use for various types of shophouses based on the resident’s *** is a great correlation between land use and user’s *** findings give support to authorities to manage urban streets and develop a sustainable policy for improving street ***,this research contributes useful information to urban designers and planners in creating a successful street space that is appropriate for the Vietnam Community.

The response of tunnels subjected to seismic loading is a complex mechanism and depends not only on the seismic nature but also on tunnel structure and surrounding soil *** individual behavior of circular,rectangular,and sub-rectangular tunnels subjected to seismic loadings has already been studied in the *** the present research,two case scenarios of circular,rectangular tunnels and four sub-rectangular shaped tunnels,with similar cross-section areas,were adopted to perform a comprehensive numerical *** purpose of the study was to determine the mechanical behavior of tunnels of different shapes,depending upon seismic *** were performed by considering the influence of soil-lining interaction,soil parameters,and lining thickness,as well as lining *** were performed for no-slip and full-slip *** results indicate that the tunnel shape design is of great importance when regarding the mechanical behavior of the surrounding *** concerns no-slip as well as full-slip soil-lining interaction,especially when the lining is subjected to seismic ***,it is shown that changes in incremental bending moments for circular,rectangular and sub-rectangular tunnels that depend upon the soil-lining interaction conditions differ significantly.

This paper deals with the collision of sphere shape grenades with sand *** central issue of the article is the establishing of an empirical velocity equation of the grenade while impacting on sand that is used to solve motion equations of the mechanical mechanism inside the impact grenade *** paper focuses on impact velocities that are lower than 5 m s^(-1).An experiment was conducted to study the velocity of the grenade while impacting on dry sand.A high-speed camera video was used to capture the grenade *** grenade velocity in the impact process was generated from these video *** types of fitting curves are used to regress the velocity equation of the grenade while interacting with the sand media and the best-fitting model is *** result shows the regression curve has a high correlation with the experiment data for grenade velocities below 5 m s^(-1).The received regression equation is useful for analyzing the working ability of the inertial mechanism inside the impact grenade or analyzing and choosing the appropriate parameters of each part in the inertial mechanism to meet the required characteristics of the mechanism.

A New Framework for Software Vulnerability Detection Based on an Advanced Computing

The detection of software vulnerabilities written in C and C++languages takes a lot of attention and interest *** paper proposes a new framework called DrCSE to improve software vulnerability *** uses an intelligent computation technique based on the combination of two methods:Rebalancing data and representation learning to analyze and evaluate the code property graph(CPg)of the source code for detecting abnormal behavior of software *** do that,DrCSE performs a combination of 3 main processing techniques:(i)building the source code feature profiles,(ii)rebalancing data,and(iii)contrastive *** which,the method(i)extracts the source code’s features based on the vertices and edges of the *** method of rebalancing data has the function of supporting the training process by balancing the experimental ***,contrastive learning techniques learn the important features of the source code by finding and pulling similar ones together while pushing the outliers *** experiment part of this paper demonstrates the superiority of the DrCSE Framework for detecting source code security vulnerabilities using the Verum *** a result,the method proposed in the article has brought a pretty good performance in all metrics,especially the Precision and Recall scores of 39.35%and 69.07%,respectively,proving the efficiency of the DrCSE *** performs better than other approaches,with a 5%boost in Precision and a 5%boost in ***,this is considered the best research result for the software vulnerability detection problem using the Verum dataset according to our survey to date.

Ferroelectric HfO_(2)has attracted much attention owing to its superior ferroelectricity at an ultra-thin thickness and good compatibility with Si-based complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)***,the crystallization of polar orthorhombic phase(o-phase)HfO_(2)is less competitive,which greatly limits the ferroelectricity of the as-obtained ferroelectric HfO_(2)thin ***,the crystallization of o-phase HfO_(2)can be thermodynamically modulated via interfacial stress *** this paper,the growth of improved ferroelectric Al doped HfO_(2)(HfO_(2):Al)thin films on(111)-oriented Si substrate has been *** analysis has suggested that nonpolar monoclinic HfO_(2):Al grown on(111)-oriented Si substrate suffered from a strong compressive strain,which promoted the crystallization of(111)-oriented o-phase HfO_(2)in the as-grown HfO_(2):Al thin *** addition,the in-plane lattice of(111)-oriented Si substrate matches well with that of(111)-oriented o-phase HfO_(2),which further thermally stabilizes the o-phase HfO_(2).Accordingly,an improved ferroelectricity with a remnant polarization(2P_(r))of 26.7C/cm^(2) has been *** results shown in this work provide a simple way toward the preparation of improved ferroelectric HfO_(2)thin films.

Proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) are critical components of zero-emission electro-hydrogen generators. Accurate performance prediction is vital to the optimal operation management and preventive maintenance of these generators. Polarization curve remains one of the most important features representing the performance of PEMFCs in terms of efficiency and durability. However, predicting the polarization curve is not trivial as PEMFCs involve complex electrochemical reactions that feature multiple nonlinear relationships between the operating variables as inputs and the voltage as outputs. Herein, we present an artificial-intelligence-based approach for predicting the PEMFCs’ performance. In that way, we propose first an explainable solution for selecting the relevant features based on kernel principal component analysis and mutual information. Then, we develop a machine learning approach based on xgBRegressor and Bayesian optimization to explore the complex features and predict the PEMFCs’ performance. The performance and the robustness of the proposed machine learning based prediction approach is tested and validated through a real industrial dataset including 10 PEMFCs. Furthermore, several comparison studies with xgBRegressor and the two popular machine learning-based methods in predicting PEMFC performance, such as artificial neural network (ANN) and support vector machine regressor (SVR) are also conducted. The obtained results show that the proposed approach is more robust and outperforms the two conventional methods and the xgBRegressor for all the considered PEMFCs. Indeed, according to the coefficient of determination criterion, the proposed model gains an improvement of 6.35%, 6.8%, and 4.8% compared with ANN, SVR, and xgBRegressor respectively.
