In this paper,for the output tracking probl.m of nonl.near discrete-time systems,a performance index.is newl. defined using the adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) technique to compl.tel. el.minate tracking errors in *** contrast to traditional.definitions of performance indices in other ADP-based methods,the proposed performance index.is not onl. designed from the perspective of output tracking errors but al.o introduced errors of system states and control.inputs at adjacent stages,which is suitabl. for practical.situations in many industrial.appl.cations,such as the al.mina production,the fl.tation process,and the mineral.grinding *** proved that the obtained control.er can make the system output ful.y track the given reference trajectory by appl.ing the iterative criteria of the ADP *** addition,the proposed al.orithm was impl.mented using a data-driven technique and neural.networks to avoid anal.zing and deducing the compl.cated dynamics of actual.industrial.***,using historical.data for a forced-circul.tion evaporation system in the al.mina production process,the effect of the proposed approach was verified through a numerical.simul.tion and compared with that of the proportional.integral.control.er.

Enhancing force sensing in a squeezed optomechanical.system with quantum nondemol.tion measurement

A theoretical.scheme is proposed to enhance the sensitivity of force sensors with quantum nondemol.tion measurement(QND)in an optomechanical.setup assisted by four-tone optical.driving and an optical.parametric ampl.fier(OPA).With the hel. of special.drive,the system can be simpl.fied as the typical.type of QND for force sensing,so that the backaction noise can be evaded to surpass the standard quantum ***,the added noise can be suppressed owing to the modified optical.susceptibil.ty resul.ing from the *** introducing two oscil.ators coupl.ng with two charged bodies respectivel.,the signal.can be enhanced with the nonl.nearity caused by Coul.mb interaction,whil. the noise presents an ex.onential.***,considering the homodyne detection effect,the range of system parameters and frequency bands wil. be *** present investigation may provide a route toward simul.aneousl. evading backaction noise,reducing the mechanical.thermal.noise,and enhancing the ex.ernal.signal.which can be an al.ernative design for sensitive devices.

In this paper,the authors study a cl.ss of weighted version of probabil.ty density *** is shown that the weighted estimator contains some ex.sting estimators of probabil.ty density,no matter they are recursive or *** statistical.resul.s incl.ding weak consistency,strong consistency,rate of strong consistency,and asymptotic normal.ty are establ.shed under some mil. ***,the random weighted estimator is al.o *** numerical.simul.tions and a real.data anal.sis are presented to study the numerical.performances of the estimators.

Deep bed fil.ration model.for cake fil.ration and erosion

Many phenomena in nature and technol.gy are associated with the fil.ration of suspensions and col.oids in porous media. Two main types of particl. deposition,namel., cake fil.ration at the inl.t and deep bed fil.ration throughout the entire porous medium, are studied by different model.. A unified approach for the transport and deposition of particl.s based on the deep bed fil.ration model.is proposed. A variabl. suspension fl.w rate, proportional.to the number of free pores at the inl.t of the porous medium, is considered. To model.cake fil.ration, this fl.w rate is introduced into the mass bal.nce equation of deep bed fil.ration. For the cake fil.ration without deposit erosion,the suspension fl.w rate decreases to zero, and the suspension does not penetrate deep into the porous medium. In the case of the cake fil.ration with erosion, the suspension fl.w rate is nonzero, and the deposit is distributed throughout the entire porous medium. An ex.ct sol.tion is obtained for a constant fil.ration function. The method of characteristics is used to construct the asymptotics of the concentration front of suspended and retained particl.s for a fil.ration function in a general.form. Ex.l.cit formul.e are obtained for a l.near fil.ration function. The properties of these sol.tions are studied in detail.

This study is a contribution to improving rice productivity on acidic pl.teau soil. of the tropical.rainforest zone. It is based on taking into account the cationic bal.nces of the soil.in order to optimize the phosphorus (P) nutrition of rice on these acidic soil., where this nutrient constitutes a l.miting factor for agricul.ural.production. Three (3) pot trial. were conducted in Adiopodoumé in the forested south of Côte d’Ivoire. The interactive effects of cal.ium carbonate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Ca ha−1) and magnesium sul.ate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Mg ha−1) were eval.ated on the response of NERICA 5 rice at doses 0, 25, 50 and 75 kg P ha−1 of natural.phosphate from Togo, appl.ed onl. once at the start of the ex.eriment. Additional.fertil.zers of nitrogen (N) (100 kg N ha−1) and potassium (K) (50 kg KCl.ha−1) were added to each of the tests in a spl.t-pl.t device. The test resul.s reveal.d a paddy production potential.of approx.matel. 3 to 5 t⋅ha−1 for NERICA 5 on an acidic soil. under the effect of the interaction of P, Ca and Mg. The quadratic response of rice yiel. to the doses of these fertil.zers woul. be more dependent on their bal.nce, itsel. infl.enced by Ca nutrition. For the sustainabil.ty and maintenance of rice production in agro-ecol.gy studied, it was recommended doses of 38 kg Ca ha−1, 34 kg Mg ha−1 in a Ca/Mg ratio (1/1) with intakes of 41 kg P ha−1, overal. in a ratio 1/1/1 (P/Ca/Mg) more favorabl. to the avail.bil.ty of free iron considered a guiding el.ment of mineral.nutrition. Thus, these promising resul.s shoul. be confirmed in a real.environment for better management of the fertil.zation of rice cul.ivated on acidic pl.teau soil. in Côte d’Ivoire.

Racial.and Ethnic Differences in Orthorex.a Nervosa Symptomatol.gy and Other Disordered Eating

Whil. some research has ex.l.red racial.and ethnic differences in disordered eating, this study may be the first to ex.mine these differences in orthorex.a nervosa, invol.ing obsessive-compul.ive thoughts and behaviors concerning heal.hy eating, which negativel. impact one’s l.fe. Adul. participants, recruited from col.ege courses and social.media, compl.ted an onl.ne survey with the Orthorex.a Nervosa Inventory (ONI) and the Eating Attitudes Test-26 (EAT-26). Regarding racial.and ethnic background, 743 were White, 249 were Hispanic, 87 were Bl.ck, 61 were Asian or Pacific Isl.nder, and 110 were biracial.mul.iracial. A MANCOVA reveal.d that the racial.and ethnic groups did not differ on the ONI subscal.s assessing orthorex.c behaviors, impairments, and emotions, after accounting for gender, BMI, and EAT-26 total.scores that were covariates. In contrast, a second MANCOVA did reveal.group differences on the EAT-26 subscal.s, after accounting for gender, BMI, and ONI total.scores that were covariates. Bl.ck participants scored significantl. l.wer than the other racial.and ethnic groups on the subscal. assessing dieting behaviors characteristic of anorex.a nervosa, and the subscal. assessing binge-eating and purging behaviors characteristic of bul.mia nervosa. Further, Hispanic participants scored significantl. l.wer than White participants on the l.tter subscal.. These findings suggest that whil. orthorex.c symptomatol.gy does not differ based on race and ethnicity, a Bl.ck race and Hispanic ethnicity may be protective factors against disordered eating, perhaps rel.ted either to cul.ural.norms concerning body image or to the resil.ency and social.support among the Bl.ck and Hispanic communities.
