A lab-on-a-disc platform based on nickel nanowire net and smartphone imaging for rapid and automatic detection of foodborne bacteria

Foodborne pathogenic bacteria have been considered as a major risk factor for food safety. It is of great significance to carry out in-field screening of pathogenic bacteria to prevent the outbreaks of foodborne diseases. In this study, a portable lab-on-a-disc platform with a microfluidic disc was developed for rapid and automatic detection of Salmonella typhimurium using a nickel nanowire(Ni NW) net for effective separation of target bacteria, horseradish peroxidase nanoflowers(HRP NFs) for efficient amplification of biological signals, and a self-developed smartphone APP for accurate analysis of colorimetric images. First,the microfluidic disc was preloaded with reagents and samples and centrifuged to form one bacterial sample column, one immune Ni NW column, one HRP NF column, two washing buffer columns and one tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) column, which were separated by air gaps. Then, a rotatable magnetic field was specifically developed to assemble the Ni NWs into a net, which was automatically controlled by a stepped motor to successively pass through the sample column for specific capture of target bacteria, the HRP NF column for specific label of target bacteria, the washing columns for effective removal of sample background and non-specific binding NFs, and the TMB column for colorimetric determination of target bacteria. The color change of TMB from colorless to blue was finally analyzed using the smartphone APP to quantitatively determine the target bacteria. This lab-on-a-disc platform could detect Salmonella typhimurium from 5.6 × 10^(1) CFU/20 μL to 5.6 × 10^(5) CFU/20 μL in 1 h with a lower detection limit of 56 CFU/20 μL. The recovery of target bacteria in spiked chicken samples ranged from 97.5% to 101.8%. This portable platform integrating separation, labeling, washing, catalysis and detection onto a single disc is featured with automatic operation, fast reaction, and small size and has shown its potential for in-field detection of foodborne pathoge

对在役核电厂非安全级DCS系统升级策略开展探索,针对DCS系统国产化和原厂升级两种思路,从机柜布置、I/O容量、与其它系统接口、经济性分析、工艺系统动态试验、核安全审评等方面分析制约系统升级的因素。以田湾一期TXP系统升级为例,分析国产化替代和原厂升级的利弊,并思考新建电厂在DCS系统设计时可以采取的设计思路。新机组DCS设计优化及发展方向有两方面:一是模块化设计,采用标准通信协议,增加子系统升级的可选方案;二是降低集成度,重要系统的信号保留硬接线连接,非重要系统的设备采用物联网等技术实现通信。

Friction between Strongly Compressed Polymer Brushes

We present the results of molecular dynamics simulations of steady shear between a pair of neutral polymer brushes,as well as a pair of charged polymer brushes in the strongly compressed *** results of the molecular dynamic simulations of neutral and polyelectrolyte brushes in implicit solvent including normal forces,shear forces,viscosities and friction coefficients as a function of separation between brushes,are presented in the *** comparison of the simulation results of neutral and charged brushes shows that the charged brushes is in the quasi-neutral regime,and the dependence of viscosity on the separation distance show the similar power law of neutral *** simulation results confirm that the implicit solvent simulations of polyelectrolyte brushes that ignore hydrodynamics interaction are in agreement with the scaling predictions qualitatively because of screening of hydrodynamic interaction and long-range electrostatic interactions on the correlation length *** of neutral and charged brushes show the lubrication properties that the friction coefficient decreases with the separation decreases at enough large ***,a maximum of friction coefficients is observed for polyelectrolyte brushes,which is in contrast to the neutral brushes with monotonical dependence.

The overabundance of the red and massive candidate galaxies observed by the James Webb Space Telescope(JWST)implies efficient structure formation or large star formation efficiency at high redshift z~*** the scenario of a low or moderate star formation efficiency,because massive neutrinos tend to suppress the growth of structure of the universe,the JWST observation tightens the upper bound of the neutrino *** A cold dark matter cosmology and a star formation efficiency∈[0.05,0.3](flat prior),we perform joint analyses of Planck+JWST and Planck+BAO+JWST,and obtain improved constraints∑m_(ν)<0.196 eV and ∑m_(ν)+<0.111 eV at 95% confidence level,*** on the above assumptions,the inverted mass ordering,which implies ∑m_(ν)≥0.1 eV,is excluded by Planck+BAO+JWST at 92.7% confidence level.
