Numerical Study of Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Shell-and-Tube Molten Salt Electric Heater with Circularly Perforated Baffles

Numerical simulations of the flow and heat transfer characteristics of four shell-and-tube molten salt electric heaters with different perforation rates was ***-and-tube electric heaters have the same geometry and tube arrangement,and all of them use single segmental baffles,but there exist four different baffle openings(φ),i.e.,0%,2.52%,4.06%,and 6.31%.The results indicated that the reasonable baffle opening could significantly reduce the shell-side pressure drop,effectively decreasing the shell-side flow dead zone *** can eliminate the local high-temperature phenomenon on the surface of electric heating tubes,but the heat transfer coefficient is slightly *** perforated schemes significantly reduce shell-side pressure drop compared to the baseline solution without open *** particular,the φ=6.31% scheme exhibits the optimal performance among all the schemes,with a maximum reduction of up to 50.50% in shell-side pressure drop relative to the unopened holes *** heat transfer coefficient is the highest for φ=0%,exhibiting a range of5.26% to 5.73%,5.14% to 5.99%,and 7.31% to 8.54% higher than φ=2.52%,4.06%,and 6.31%,respectively,within the calculated *** composite index h/(Δp)^(1/3)was higher for all open-hole solutions than that for the unopened-hole *** best overall performance was for φ=6.31%,which improved the composite index by15.29%to 17.18%over the unopened-hole solution.

Background Mobile element variants(MEVs)have a significant and complex impact on genomic diversity and phe-notypic ***,the quantity,distribution,and relationship with gene expression and complex traits of MEVs in the pig genome remain poorly *** We constructed the most comprehensive porcine MEV library based on high-depth whole genome sequencing(WGS)data from 747 pigs across 59 breeds *** database identified a total of 147,993 poly-morphic MEVs,including 121,099 short interspersed nuclear elements(SINEs),26,053 long interspersed nuclear elements(LINEs),802 long terminal repeats(LTRs),and 39 other transposons,among which 54%are newly *** found that MEVs are unevenly distributed across the genome and are strongly influenced by negative selec-tion ***,we identified 514,530,and 584 candidate MEVs associated with population differentiation,domestication,and breed formation,*** example,a significantly differentiated MEV is located in the ATRX intron between Asian and European pigs,whereas ATRX is also differentially expressed between Asian and European pigs in muscle *** addition,we identified 4,169 expressed MEVs(eMEVs)significantly associated with gene expression and 6,914 splicing MEVs(sMEVs)associated with gene splicing based on RNA-seq data from 266 porcine liver *** eMEVs and sMEVs explain 6.24%and 9.47%,respectively,of the observed cis-heritability and high-light the important role of MEVs in the regulation of gene ***,we provide a high-quality SNP–MEV reference haplotype panel to impute MEV genotypes from genome-wide ***,we identified a candidate MEV significantly associated with total teat number,demonstrating the functionality of this reference *** The present investigation demonstrated the importance of MEVs in pigs in terms of population diversity,gene expression and phenotypic traits,which may provide useful resources and theoretic

Retrospective analysis of pathological types and imaging features in pancreatic cancer: A comprehensive study

BACKGROUND Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most lethal malignancies worldwide,with a poor prognosis often attributed to late *** the correlation between pathological type and imaging features is crucial for early detection and appropriate treatment *** To retrospectively analyze the relationship between different pathological types of pancreatic cancer and their corresponding imaging *** We retrospectively analyzed the data of 500 patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer between January 2010 and December 2020 at our *** types were determined by histopathological examination of the surgical spe-cimens or biopsy *** imaging features were assessed using computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging,and endoscopic *** analyses were performed to identify significant associations between pathological types and specific imaging *** There were 320(64%)cases of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma,75(15%)of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms,50(10%)of neuroendocrine tumors,and 55(11%)of other rare *** imaging features were identified in each pathological *** ductal adenocarcinoma typically presents as a hypodense mass with poorly defined borders on computed tomography,whereas intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms present as characteristic cystic lesions with mural *** tumors often appear as hypervascular lesions in contrast-enhanced *** analysis revealed significant correlations between specific imaging features and pathological types(PluSION This study demonstrated a strong association between the pathological types of pancreatic cancer and imaging *** findings can enhance the accuracy of noninvasive diagnosis and guide personalized treatment approaches.

Transgene copy number has a great impact on the expression level and stability of exogenous gene in transgenic *** real-time PCR technique,which depends on the use of appropriate endogenous reference genes,has been widely accepted as an accurate and time-saved method in the copy number detection of transgenic plants and GM detection to meet the regulatory and legislative *** date,most transgene crops have been developed corresponding endogenous reference genes,some species have multiple applicable endogenous reference genes,but limited in ***,further development of exogenous reference genes for polyploid and aneuploid sugarcane is very *** this study,we evaluated a set of potential ’single copy’ genes including P4H,APRT,ENOL,CYC,TST and PRR,through qualitative PCR and absolute quantitative PCR. On the basis of copy number comparison in different sugarcane genotypes,including 5 Saccharum officinarum, one *** and two ***,the copy number of these endogenous genes fell into three groups:a high copy number group with only ENOL③,a medium copy number group containing TST①and PRR①,and a low copy number group with P4H③,APRT②and CYC②.Besides,the most stable reference genes were P4H, APRT and CYC,while the least stable genes were ENOL and TST in different sugarcane ***, primer pairs P4H③,APRT②and CYC②were selected as the suitable reference gene prime pairs in sugarcane. The test of multi-target reference genes plasmid on revealed that the APRT gene was a specific amplicon within the detection using the primers APRT②,and thus this gene was assumed to be the most suitable endogenous reference gene in *** results should be helpful for the analyses of the copy number of exogenous genes in transgenic sugarcane,and are also of vital significance for sugarcane transgenic breeding and its commercial application.
