Background Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a rare and complex cerebrovascular disorder characterized by the progressive narrowing of the internal carotid arteries and the formation of compensatory collateral vessels. The etiology of MMD remains enigmatic, making diagnosis and management challenging. The MOYAOMICS project was initiated to investigate the molecular underpinnings of MMD and explore potential diagnostic and therapeutic *** The MOYAOMICS project employs a multidisciplinary approach, integrating various omics technologies, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, to comprehensively examine the molecular signatures associated with MMD pathogenesis. Additionally, we will investigate the potential influence of gut microbiota and brain-gut peptides on MMD development, assessing their suitability as targets for therapeutic strategies and dietary interventions. Radiomics, a specialized field in medical imaging, is utilized to analyze neuroimaging data for early detection and characterization of MMD-related brain changes. Deep learning algorithms are employed to differentiate MMD from other conditions, automating the diagnostic process. We also employ single-cellomics and mass cytometry to precisely study cellular heterogeneity in peripheral blood samples from MMD *** The MOYAOMICS project represents a significant step toward comprehending MMD’s molecular underpinnings. This multidisciplinary approach has the potential to revolutionize early diagnosis, patient stratification, and the development of targeted therapies for MMD. The identification of blood-based biomarkers and the integration of multiple omics data are critical for improving the clinical management of MMD and enhancing patient outcomes for this complex disease.

Lanthanum Molybdenum Oxide were synthesized by solid state reaction in air. The resulting Lanthanum Molybdenum Oxide were systematically characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, and the catalytic activity of Lanthanum Molybdenum Oxide were investigated in I-/I- 3electrolyte by electrochemical and photoelectrochemical methods. The results indicated that Lanthanum Molybdenum Oxide showed higher catalytic activity, having a smaller particle size. The 1th of Lanthanum Molybdenum Oxide as the CE based DSC which produced a power conversion efficiency（PCE） of 1.17%.

The Effect of Liposome Encapsulated Daunorubicin on Rabbit Eyes after Extracapsular Lens Extraction

Purpose: To investigate the effect of liposome encapsulated daunorubicin (DNR) on rabbit eyes when it was used in prevention of posterior capsule opacification (PCO). Methods: The liposome encapsulated DNR was prepared by modified freeze-thawing method. Each eye was injected with 0. 1 ml liposomes (0. 2 mg/ml and 20 μg/ml DNR) into the capsular bag during the extracapsular lens extraction (ECLE) in 10 rabbit eyes respectively. The phosphate buffer solution (PBS) was injected as control. Besides biomicroscope observation and histology examination of all eyes, the concentration of DNR in aqueous humor was also determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Results: The morphology of liposome encapsulated DNR were similar to the blank liposome with round or ellipse shape. The encapsulated effeciency of liposome encapsulated DNR was 45. 1%. The inflammatory response was much more severe both in 0. 2 mg/ml and 20μg/ml DNR group than the control after liposome injection. Develop noble metal free counter electrodes is always a research hotspot in dye-sensitized and perovskite solar *** this study,2-D layer structured TiC is synthesized using etching method under lower temperature,and then it is applied in dye-sensitized and perovskite solar cells as counter electrode with higher activity compared with conventional TiC particles counter *** dye-sensitized solar cells fabricated using 2-D layer structured TiC counter electrode achieves a power conversion efficiency of 9.57%,much higher than that of the counterpart device fabricated using TiC particles counter electrode(7.37%).The excellent activity of TiC electrode can be attributed to the superior charge transfer and mass transport properties owing to the specific 2-D layer ***,the fabricated 2-D layer structured TiC is attempted to be applied in perovskite solar cells,thereby achieving a power conversion efficiency of 7.78% without further ***,it exhibits a potential candidate to the noble metal electrodes.

Transition metal carbides(TMCs) have been proved to be potential counter electrode materials in dye-sensitized solar cells [1]. However, TMCs particles aggregate easily due to the high sinter temperature in traditional carbonization process, resulting in activity decline of the counter electrode [2]. Moreover, the carbonization process always releases large amount of harmful gases, polluting the environment. Herein, 2-D layer structured TiC is synthesized via etching method under lower temperature and applied in dye-sensitized and perovskite solar cells as counter electrode which displays higher catalytic activity as compared with traditional TiC particles counter electrode. The DSCs based on 2-D layer structured TiC counter electrode achieves a power conversion efficiency of 9.57%, much higher than the counterpart device using TiC particle counter electrode(7.37%). The excellent activity of TiC electrode can be attributing to the superior charge transfer and mass transport properties caused by the specific 2-D layer structure. Moreover, the synthesized 2-D layer structured TiC is also attempted to apply in perovskite solar cells which generates a power conversion efficiency of 7.78% without further optimization,suggesting a potential candidate to the noble metal electrodes.

VO@C composite catalysts with different mass ratios have successfully been prepared using a facile one-step the reduction of V2 O5 with soluble starch in a high-temperature solid-state ***@C composites were further served as catalytic materials for counter electrodes(CEs) in encapsulation of dye sensitized solar cells(DSSCs).The morphology and microstructure of each VO@C composite were determined by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray *** voltammetry studies revealed that the VO@C composites showed a higher electrocatalytic activity than VO for the reduction of triiodide *** impedance spectroscopy and Tafel analysis data for the symmetrical cells indicated a lower charge transfer resistance and higher exchange current density for VO@C composite than *** experimental results showed thatpower conversion efficiencies(PCE) of 3.94,5.13 and 4.97% were obtained for soluble starch: V2 O5 mass ratios of 1:1,2:1 and 4:1 as counter electrode toward the reduction of I3-/I-ions respectively,which were superior to higher than that of VO(3.33%) electrode under the same *** enhanced electrode performance can be ascribed to the combined effects of the relatively larger surface area and higher conductivity of VO@C composite catalysts.

Transition-metal(VIB) carbides(TMCs) and oxides(TMOs) were prepared by a simple acetamide–metal route for use as counter electrodes(CEs) in dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs). Acetamide served as the source of carbon and oxygen because it is cost-effective and a good chelating agent, as well as it does not pollute the environment. The carbides and oxides thus prepared were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and nitrogen sorption. hese catalysts comprising CrC, CrO, WC, WO, MoC, and MoO exhibited satisfactory catalytic activities for the reduction of Ito Iin DSSCs, as evidenced by the results obtained from cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and Tafel polarization *** exhibited the best catalytic activity with the maximum photoelectric conversion efficiency. A power conversion efficiency(PCE) of up to 4.83% was obtained for the device using WC as the CE,among other materials, while those of 3.24%(MoC), 4.44%(CrC), 4.67%(WO), 2.73%(CrO),and 2.53%(MoO) were obtained for other DSSCs see in Fig. 1.

Endoscopy-assisted purely total outer wall excision for pediatric Sylvian arachnoid cysts

Background To present a novel endoscopy-assisted surgical strategy of Sylvian arachnoid cysts(ACs).Case presentation Endoscopy-assisted surgery was performed on 9 children(May 2019-December 2021).All patients were evaluated with CT and/or MRI and had regular follow-up *** procedure consisted of performing a small temporal craniotomy(2 cm)behind the *** dural opening,the surgery was performed with the assistance of a rigid 30-degree transcranial endoscope,self-irrigating bipolar forceps,and other standard endoscopic *** included total excision of the AC outer wall and dissection of arachnoid adhesion around the cystic edge to communicate the residual cyst cavity with subdural *** with the microscopical procedure,a 30-degree transcranial endoscope provides a wider view,especially for the lateral part exposure of the outer *** average age of the patients was 27.7 months(range 13-44 months).The Sylvian AC was in the right hemisphere in three patients and six in the left,respectively.1 patient suffered transient postoperative *** was no mortality or additional postoperative neurological deficit in this *** of the patients achieved significant clinical improvement after *** examination after the operation showed a significant reduction in all cases(100%,9/9)and disappearance in one case(11.1%,1/9).Postoperative subdural fluid collection occurred in six cases and completely resolved spontaneously in 9 *** The study demonstrated the minimally invasive,safety,and effectivity of the endoscopy-assisted purely total outer wall excision.

Develop low-cost carbon counter electrodes is a research hotspot in hole transport layer free perovskite solar cells [1-2]. In this study, specific carbon spheres are synthesized using confined nanospace strategy, and then applied in perovskite solar cells as counter electrode. The perovskite solar cells fabricated using solid(SCS), hollow(HCS), open-ended(OCS) carbon sphere counter electrode achieve power conversion efficiency of 8.76%, 9.17%, and 10.19%. The excellent activity of carbon sphere electrodes can be attributed to constructed stable multi-level network channel architecture of the carbon sphere layers, which can enhance the charge extract and transfer properties. Thus, the prepared carbon spheres are potential candidates to the noble metal counter electrodes.

Flexible interdigitated layered framework with multiple accessible active sites for high-performance CH_(3)I capture

The development of adsorbent materials for effective capture of radioactive iodomethane(CH_(3)I) from the off-gas of used nuclear fuel reprocessing, remains a significant and challenging line of research because currently state-of-art adsorbents still suffer from low binding affinity with CH_(3)I. Here, we proposed a brand-new adsorption topological structure by developing a 2D interdigitated layered framework, named SCU-20, featuring slide-like channel with multiple active sites for CH_(3)I capture. The responsive rotating-adaptive aperture of SCU-20 enables the optimal utilization of all active sites within the pore for highly selective recognition and capture of CH_(3)I. A record-breaking CH_(3)I uptake capacity of 1.84 g/g was achieved under static sorption conditions with saturated CH_(3)I vapor. Both experimental and theoretical findings demonstrated that the exceptional uptake of SCU-20 towards CH_(3)I can be attributed to the confined physical electrostatic adsorption of F sites, coupled with the chemical nitrogen methylation reaction with uncoordinated N atoms of pyrazine. Moreover, dynamic CH_(3)I uptake capacity potentially allows for the capture of CH_(3)I in simulated real-world off gas reprocessing conditions. This study highlights the potential of SCU-20 as a promising candidate for efficient capture of iodine species and contributes to the development of effective solutions for radioactive iodine remediation.
