Migration of paleo-uplift in southwestern Tarim Basin and its implications for orogenesis and reservoir development, NW China

Based on well horizon calibration,the typical seismic profiles in southwestern Tarim Basin were interpreted systematically,regional geological sections were established,and the regional denudation thickness of each tectonic period was restored.On this basis,the plane morphology maps of ancient structures of the Cambrian pre-salt dolomites in different periods were compiled,and the spatial distribution,development,evolution and migration of paleo-uplift in the late Early Paleozoic were analyzed.In the late Early Paleozoic,there existed a unified regional paleo-uplift widely distributed in southwestern Tarim Basin,which is called the southwestern Tarim plaeo-uplift.The“Tarim SW paleo-uplift”and“Hetian paleo-uplift”proposed in previous literatures are not independent,but the result of the spatio-temporal migration and evolution of the southwestern Tarim paleo-uplift identified in this paper.The southwestern Tarim paleo-uplift emerged at the end of Middle Ordovician,and took its initial shape with increased amplitude in the Late Ordovician.During the Silurian,the southwestern Tarim paleo-uplift rose steadily and expanded rapidly to the east,incorporating Pishan-Hetian and other areas,with the structural high locating in the Pishan-Hetian area.During the Devonian,the southwestern Tarim paleo-uplift began to shrink gradually,to a limited range in the Pishan-Hetian area in the southern part of the basin.During the Carboniferous,the southwestern Tarim paleo-uplift became an underwater uplift,that is,the paleo-uplift gradually died out.The southwestern Tarim paleo-uplift belongs to the forebulge of the southwestern Tarim foreland basin in the late Early Paleozoic,and its formation and evolution are related to the early Paleozoic orogeny of the West Kunlun orogenic belt in the south of the Tarim Basin.The migration of the southwestern Tarim paleo-uplift from the northwestern part of the southwestern Tarim Basin to the Pishan-Hetian area indicates the early Paleozoic orogenic process of the West Kunlun orogenic belt,which s

Last glacial terrestrial vegetation record of leaf wax n-alkanols in the northern South China Sea:Contrast to scenarios from longchain n-alkanes

Long-chain n-alkanols and n-alkanes in core sediments from the northern South China Sea(SCS)were measured to make a comparison during terrestrial vegetation reconstruction from~42 ka to~7 ka.The results showed that terrestrial vegetation record from long-chain n-alkanes matched well with previous studies in nearby cores,showing that more C_(4)plants developed during the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM)and C_(3)plants dominated in the interglacial period.However,these scenarios were not revealed by terrestrial vegetation reconstruction using long-chain n-alkanols,which showed C_(3)plant expansion during the LGM.The discrepancy during the interglacial period could be attributed to the aerobic degradation of functionalized long-chain n-alkanols in the oxygen-rich bottom water,resulting in poor preservation of terrestrial vegetation signals.On the other hand,the different advantages of functionalized n-alkanols and non-functional n-alkanes to record local and distal vegetation signals,respectively,may offer a potential explanation for the contradiction during the LGM when the SCS was characterized by low-oxygen deep water.Nevertheless,large variations on n-alkyl lipid compositions in C_(3)/C_(4)plants could play a part in modulating sedimentary long-chain n-alkanols and n-alkanes toward different vegetation signals,thereby suggesting that caution must be taken in respect to the terrestrial vegetation reconstruction using long-chain n-alkanes and long-chain n-alkanols.

OBJECTIVE:Yang-deficiency constitution(YADC)is a common unbalanced constitution that predisposes individuals to certain diseases.However,not all people with YADC manifest develop diseases.This calls for delineation of the underlying molecular mechanisms.Previous studies suggested that the gut microbiota and gene differential expression should be considered.METHODS:In the present study,we compared profiles of gut microbiota between four healthy YADC individuals and those of five healthy balanced constitution(BC)counterparts,based on 16 S r RNA gene sequence analysis.Furthermore,YADC relevant genes identified by comparing 62 healthy YADC and 58 healthy BC individuals in total to perform intersection analysis,functional clustering and pathway enrichment analyses.RESULTS:The levels of harmful gut microbiota(Prevotellaceae,LDA score>4.0,P=0.0141)and beneficial gut microbiota(Ruminococcaceae,LDA score>4.0,P=0.0025,Faecalibacterium,LDA score>4.0,P=0.0484)were both elevated in healthy YADC individuals.Also,we found that the specific metabolic pathway with 2,6-Dichloro-p-hydroquinone 1,2-Dioxygenase(Pcp A)as the core in gut microbiota and the glutathione transferase activity has been enriched by YADC relevant genes in healthy YADC individuals were both responsible for the detoxification of halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon substances.CONCLUSIONS:Both beneficial and harmful factors had been detected in healthy YADC individuals,functionally,they may have triggered homeostasis to maintain the health of individuals with YADC.The homeostasis may be maintained by beneficial and harmful factors from gut flora and genes.Future studies are expected to focus on halogenated aromatic hydrocarbons and their detoxification processes.

Carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) as a sustainable resource instead of toxic reagents has attracted considerable attention in synthesis of chemicals and polymeric materials.Herein,a kind of cyclic oligourea was synthesized via polycondensation of CO_(2) with 4,7,10-trioxa-1,13-tridecanediamine(TTD)followed by effective separation and purification processes.We developed an efficient separation strategy in which the linear oligourea molecules were selectively transformed to macromolecular polyurea molecules by a reaction of the–NH_(2) end group with 4,4’-diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI),followed by separation from cyclic oligourea using selected solvents.The structure and physicochemical properties were confirmed by MALDI-TOF mass spectra,NMR,Cryo-EM,thermal analysis and solubility measurement.The well-defined cyclic oligourea was produced with a high purity(99.4%)and the average-number molecular weight(Mn)of 1040 Da.It is semi-crystalline in structure with a melting point of 106℃and glass transition point of-10℃.The cyclic oligourea presented characteristically difference to its linear analogue.This work provides a new member to cyclic polymer family.

Achievable degrees of freedom of MIMO two-way X relay channel with delayed CSIT

The previous work on interference alignment for multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO) two-way X relay channel assumes perfect channel state information at the transmitter(CSIT), which is reasonable in slow fading channel. However, in fast fading scenario, this assumption is impractical. In this paper, assuming that each node has delayed CSIT, we study the achievable degrees of freedom(DOF) for MIMO two-way X relay channel in frequency division duplex(FDD) systems. Specifically, in the broadcast(BC) phase, we propose a new multiple-stage transmission(MST) scheme, which utilizes retrospective interference alignment for physical layer network coding(PLNC). We show that MST can achieve significant DOF gain and tremendous power gain over other schemes. When the number of antennas for each user, N, is smaller than the number of the relays, M, the time division multiple access(TDMA) scheme can only achieve an ergodic sum-rate increase by N bps/Hz for every increasing of 3 d B of signal-to-noise power ratio(SNR), while the proposed MST scheme can achieve an ergodic sum-rate increase by M bps/Hz.

Inactivation efficiency of slightly acidic electrolyzed water against microbes on facility surfaces in a disinfection channel

Slightly acidic electrolyzed water(SAEW,pH 6.0-6.5)is an ideal and environmentally-friendly disinfectant,which was used to prevent and control bacterial infections on farms.This work aims to investigate the inactivation effectiveness of SAEW in inactivating microbes in a disinfection channel.The bactericidal efficiency of SAEW on equipment surfaces was compared to two commercial disinfectants,Kuei A bromide solution(KAS,5:1000 v/v)and Glutaraldehyde solution(GS,5:1000 v/v).The disinfection effectiveness of SAEW in inactivating Salmonella enteritidis(S.enteritidis)on equipment surfaces in the disinfection channel was evaluated,and a model was developed using multiple linear regression analysis.Results indicated that SAEW was significantly(p0.05).In addition,available chlorine concentration(ACC)was an important factor than other factors,and the inactivation efficiency of Salmonella enteritidis sprayed by SAEW treatment was different between iron materials,kits and clothing surfaces(iron>kit>clothing).

Alveolar macrophages(AMs)are self-maintained immune cells that play vital roles in lung homeostasis and immunity.Although reporter mice and culture systems have been established for studying macrophages,an accurate and specific reporter line for alveolar macrophage study is still not available.Here we reported a novel Rspo1-tdTomato gene reporter mouse line that could specifically label mouse AMs in a cell-intrinsic manner.Using this reporter system,we visualized the dynamics of alveolar macrophages intravitally under steady state and characterized the alveolar macrophage differentiation under in vitro condition.By performing ATAC-seq,we found that insertion of the tdTomato cassette in the Rspo1 locus increased the accessibility of a PPARE motif within the Rspo1 locus and revealed a potential regulation by key transcription factor PPAR-γfor alveolar macrophage differentiation in vitro and in vivo.Consistently,perturbation of PPAR-γby its agonist rosiglitazone or inhibitor GW9662 resulted in corresponding alteration of tdTomato expression in alveolar macrophages together with the transcription of PPAR-γdownstream target genes.Furthermore,global transcriptomic analyses of AMs from the wild type mice and the Rspo1-tdTomato mice showed comparable gene expression profiles,especially those AM-specific genes,confirming that the insertion of the tdTomato cassette in the Rspo1 locus does not impact the cell identity and biological function of AMs under normal condition.Taken together,our study provides an alternative tool for in vivo and in vitro labeling of alveolar macrophages with high specificity which could also be utilized as an indicator of PPAR-γactivity for future development of PPAR-γspecific targeting drugs.

Ilmenite is an essential mineral for the extraction of titanium.Conventional physical separation methods have difficulty recovering fine ilmenite,and dressing plants have begun applying flotation to recover ilmenite.The interaction of reagent groups with Ti and Fe sites on the ilmenite surface dramatically influences the ilmenite flotation.However,the investigation on Fe sites has received more attention because the activity of Ti is lower than that of Fe.For the activators on ilmenite flotation,most are metal ions but typically lead ions.The metal ions of activators promote ilmenite flotation by increasing the active sites on the ilmenite surface.Combined reagents have a better selective separation of ilmenite than single reagents due to their synergistic effect.Combining the lead ion(Pb^(2+))and the benzyl hydroxamic acid(BHA)into a Pb-BHA complex has a marked effect on ilmenite flotation,which puts forward a new idea of developing combined reagents for ilmenite flotation.This review considers reagent types and action mechanisms in ilmenite flotation.On the basis of the analysis of previous research,a brief future outlook of reagent types and action mechanisms in ilmenite flotation is also proposed in this study.

Methane seepage intensities traced by sulfur isotopes of pyrite and gypsum in sediment from the Shenhu area,South China Sea

The northern slope of the South China Sea is a gas-hydrate-bearing region related to a high deposition rate of organic-rich sediments co-occurring with intense methanogenesis in subseafloor environments.Anaerobic oxidation of methane（AOM） coupled with bacterial sulfate reduction results in the precipitation of solid phase minerals in seepage sediment,including pyrite and gypsum.Abundant aggregates of pyrites and gypsums are observed between the depth of 667 and 850 cm below the seafloor（cmbsf） in the entire core sediment of HS328 from the northern South China Sea.Most pyrites are tubes consisting of framboidal cores and outer crusts.Gypsum aggregates occur as rosettes and spheroids consisting of plates.Some of them grow over pyrite,indicating that gypsum precipitation postdates pyrite formation.The sulfur isotopic values（δ^34 S） of pyrite vary greatly（from –46.6‰ to –12.3‰ V-CDT） and increase with depth.Thus,the pyrite in the shallow sediments resulted from organoclastic sulfate reduction（OSR） and is influenced by AOM with depth.The relative high abundance and δ^34 S values of pyrite in sediments at depths from 580 to 810 cmbsf indicate that this interval is the location of a paleo-sulfate methane transition zone（SMTZ）.The sulfur isotopic composition of gypsum（from–25‰ to –20.7‰） is much lower than that of the seawater sulfate,indicating the existence of a 34 S-depletion source of sulfur species that most likely are products of the oxidation of pyrites formed in OSR.Pyrite oxidation is controlled by ambient electron acceptors such as MnO2,iron（Ⅲ） and oxygen driven by the SMTZ location shift to great depths.The δ^34 S values of gypsum at greater depth are lower than those of the associated pyrite,revealing downward diffusion of 34 S-depleted sulfate from the mixture of oxidation of pyrite derived by OSR and the seawater sulfate.These sulfates also lead to an increase of calcium ions from the dissolution of calcium carbonate mineral,which will be favor to the formation of gypsum.Overall,the mineralogy and sulfur is
