Despite the precise controllability of droplet samples in digital microfluidic(DMF)systems,their capability in isolating single cells for long-time culture is still limited:typically,only a few cells can be captured on an *** fabricating small-sized hydrophilic micropatches on an electrode aids single-cell capture,the actuation voltage for droplet transportation has to be significantly raised,resulting in a shorter lifetime for the DMF chip and a larger risk of damaging the *** this work,a DMF system with 3D microstructures engineered on-chip is proposed to form semi-closed micro-wells for efficient single-cell isolation and long-time *** optimum results showed that approximately 20%of the micro-wells over a 30×30 array were occupied by isolated single *** addition,low-evaporation-temperature oil and surfactant aided the system in achieving a low droplet actuation voltage of 36V,which was 4 times lower than the typical 150 V,minimizing the potential damage to the cells in the droplets and to the DMF *** exemplify the technological advances,drug sensitivity tests were run in our DMF system to investigate the cell response of breast cancer cells(MDA-MB-231)and breast normal cells(MCF-10A)to a widely used chemotherapeutic drug,Cisplatin(Cis).The results on-chip were consistent with those screened in conventional 96-well *** novel,simple and robust single-cell trapping method has great potential in biological research at the single cell level.

The lanthanide coordination polymers bearing a 13-membered macrocycle, [(13-EDTA-pnOH)H2] were synthesized. The products [ln(13-EDTA-pnOH)(H2O)2·NO3]n (ln = Eu(1), Tb(2), Dy(3)) have been obtained by MS, IR and element analyses. The solid-state structure of 1 was established by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The coordination geometry around the central metal atom in complex 1 is a nine-coor-dinated, tricapped-trigonal prism having six donor atoms (two amine nitrogen atoms, two amide oxygen atoms and two carboxymethyl oxygen atoms) from one ligand, one oxygen atom from a neighboring ligand, and two more oxygen atoms from two water molecules. The europium atoms are linked by―Eu―O―C―O―Eu―bridges to form an infinite chain.

Two-dimensional(2D)ferroelectric materials with unique structure and extraordinary optoelectrical properties have attracted intensive research in the field of nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices,such as optical sensors,transistors,photovoltaics and non-volatile memory ***,the transition temperature of the reported ferroelectrics in 2D limit is generally low or slightly above room temperature,hampering their applications in high-temperature electronic ***,we report the robust high-temperature ferroelectricity in 2D a-In2Se3,grown by chemical vapor depostion(CVD),exhibiting an out-of-plane spontaneous polarization reaching above 200℃.The polarization switching and ferroelectric domains are observed in In2Se;nanoflakes in a wide temperature *** coercive field of the CVD grown ferroelectric layers ilustrates a room-temperature thickness dependency and increases drastically when the film thickness decreases;whereas there is no large variance in the coercive field at dfterent termperature from the samples with identical *** results show the stable ferroelectricit of In2Se3 nanoflakes maintained at high temperature and open up the opportunities of 2D materials for novel applications in high-temperature nanoelectronic devices.

近年来,原子催化剂(ACs)引起了广泛的研究关注.目前该领域的长足发展受限于贵金属的使用和单原子催化剂(SACs)的性能有限.本文总结了利用密度泛函理论(DFT)和机器学习(ML)方法筛选高效的基于石墨炔(GDY)的原子催化剂的工作.研究表明, Pd, Co, Pt和Hg可以形成稳定的零价过渡金属-石墨炔组合(TM-GDY),而镧系-过渡金属的双原子催化剂(ln-TM DAC)组合通过f-d轨道耦合作用可以获得有效的催化性能提升.进一步分析表明,主族元素与过渡金属和镧系金属的结合可以通过p轨道耦合保持高电活性,从而构成高度稳定的GDY-DAC系统,机器学习算法也揭示了s,p轨道的作用.此外,理论算法技术在筛选催化水分解析氢反应(HER)的高效组合上也表现出了优越性,创新性地预测了石墨炔-原子催化剂在实际催化反应中的潜能.本综合评述可为未来设计新型原子催化剂提供新的思路与策略.

High-Q lithium niobate(ln) optical micro-resonators are an excellent platform for future applications in optical communications, nonlinear optics, and quantum optics. To date, high-Q factors are typically achieved in ln using either dielectric masks or femtosecond laser ablation, while the more standard and commonly available lift-off metallic masks are often believed to lead to rough sidewalls and lowered Q factors. Here, we show that ln microring resonators with strong light confinement and intrinsic Q factors over 1 million can be fabricated using optimized lift-off metallic masks and dry etching processes, corresponding to a waveguide propagation loss of ~0.3 d B=cm. The entire process is fully compatible with wafer-scale production and could be transferred to other photonic materials.

Although lanthanide double-decker complexes with hetero-macrocyclic ligands as functional luminescent and magnetic materials have promising properties, their inferior water solubility has negated their biomedical applications.[1] Herein, four water-soluble homoleptic lanthanide（ln = Gd, Er, Yb and La） sandwiches with diethylene-glycol-disubstituted porphyrins（DD） are reported, with their structures proven by both quantum chemical calculations and scanning tunneling microscopy. Our findings demonstrate that the near-infrared emission intensity and singlet oxygen（1 O2） quantum yields of YbDD and GdDD in water are higher than those of the reported capped lanthanide monoporphyrinato analogues, YbN and GdN;the brightness and luminescence lifetime in water of YbDD are greater than those of YbN. This work provides a new dimension for the future design and development of molecular theranostics-based water-soluble double-decker lanthanide bisporphyrinates.[2]
