Substrates or encapsulants in soft and stretchable formats are key components for transient,bioresorbable electronic systems;however,elastomeric polymers with desired mechanical and biochemical properties are very limited compared to nontransient ***,we introduce a bioresorbable elastomer,poly(glycolide-co-ε-caprolactone)(PGCL),that contains excellent material properties including high elongation-at-break(<1300%),resilience and toughness,and tunable dissolution *** of PGCLs as polymer matrices,in combination with conducing polymers,yields stretchable,conductive composites for degradable interconnects,sensors,and actuators,which can reliably function under external *** of device components with wireless modules demonstrates elastic,transient electronic suture system with on-demand drug delivery for rapid recovery of postsurgical wounds in soft,time-dynamic tissues.

＜正＞In order to contribute to an understanding of the geographic distribution of free-living freshwater flagellates, we have investigated the diversity of heterotrophic flagellates occurring in a number of freshwater sites in Tasmania （Australia）. This community of organisms has not previously been studied in Tasmania, and the isolation of the freshwater habitats from like habitats elsewhere in the world increases the probability of the emergence of an endem,ic community. Heatwaves(HWs)present a major hazard to our society and more extreme heatwaves are expected with future climatic ***,it is important to improve our understanding of the underlying processes that drive HWs,in order to boost our socioeconomic-ecological *** this study,we quantified the influences of key driving factors(large-scale atmospheric circulation,soil moisture,and sea surface temperature)and their synergies on recent heatwaves in East *** conducted a factor separation analysis for three recent HW events by constraining the key factors in the regional Weather Research and Forecasting model with their climatologies or pseudo-observations in different *** study showed distinct spatial variations in the HW-controlling factors in East *** synergistic interaction of large-scale circulation and soil moisture was the most important factors in the 2013 Chinese *** the 2018 HWs in Korea and Japan,the same stagnant large-scale atmospheric circulation played a dominant role in driving the HW *** land-atmosphere coupling via soil moisture,its interaction with circulation,and SST exhibited stronger influences during the Korean HW than the Japanese *** analysis also revealed temporal variations in the factors driving Korean and Chinese HWs due to typhoon passage and other multiple processes over heterogeneous surfaces(i.e.,topographically induced Foehn winds,large-scale warm advection from the warm ocean,spatial differences in soil moisture).Our findings suggest that future heatwave-related studies should consider interactive contributions of key factors,their interplay with surface heterogeneities of complex terrain.

Over the years,zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)have attracted attention as a promising next-generation energy storage technology because of their excellent safety,long cycling performance,eco-friendliness,and high-power ***,issues,such as the corrosion and dissolution of the Zn anode,limited wet-tability,and lack of sufficient nucleation sites for Zn plating,have limited their practical *** introduction of a protective layer comprising of tellurium(Te)nanobelts onto the surface of Zn anode has emerged as a promising approach to overcome these limitations and improve the electrochemical behav-ior by enhancing the safety and wettability of ZIBs,as well as providing numerous nucleation sites for Zn *** the presence of a Te-based protective layer,the energy power density of the surface-engineered Zn anode improved significantly(ranging from 310 to 144 W h kg^(-1),over a power density range of 270 to 1,800 W kg^(-1)),and the lifespan capability was *** results demonstrate that the proposed strategy of employing Te nanobelts as a protective layer holds great promise for enhancing the energy storage performance of zIBs,making them even more attractive as a viable energy storage solution forthefuture.

To overcome the intrinsic inefficiency of the von Neumann architecture,neuromorphic devices that perform analog vector–matrix multiplication have been highlighted for achieving power-and time-efficient data *** particular,artificial synapses,of which conductance should be programmed to represent the synaptic weights of the artificial neural network,have been intensively researched to realize neuromorphic ***,inspired by excitatory and inhibitory synapses,we develop an artificial optoelectronic synapse that shows both potentiation and depression characteristics triggered only by optical *** design of the artificial optoelectronic synapse,in which excitatory and inhibitory synaptic phototransistors are serially connected,enables these characteristics by spatiotemporally irradiating the phototransistor channels with optical ***,a negative synaptic weight can be realized without the need for electronic components such as *** such attributes,the artificial optoelectronic synapse is demonstrated to classify three digits with a high recognition rate(98.3%)and perform image preprocessing via analog vector-matrix multiplication.

The change of anterior segment parameters after cataract surgery in normal-tension glaucoma

AIM： To investigate the change of anterior chamber angle morphology and intraocular pressure （lOP） reduction after cataract surgery in patients with normal-tension glaucoma （NTG） using swept-source optical coherence tomography （SS-OCT）. METHODS： This prospective, comparative, observational study recruited patients into two groups. Group 1 was the control group including normal subjects except those with cataracts （cataract group, n=67 eyes of 67 patients）, and group 2 was NTG group including patients who were diagnosed with NTG and cataracts （n=43 eyes of 43 patients）, which were treated with phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. Before surgery, and at postoperative 1 and 6too, anterior chamber angles were evaluated by SS-OCT under dark conditions using three- dimensional angle analysis scan protocol. Angle opening distance （AOD）, angle recess area （ARA）, and trabecular- iris surface area （TISA） at four quadrants （temporal, nasal, superior, and inferior） were calculated automatically by SS-OGT, after the observer marked scleral spurs. RESULTS： A total of 106 patients （54 males and 52 females） were enrolled in the study. Angle parameters, AOD, ARA, and TISA were increased after surgery in both groups. However, changes of angle parameters were only significant in group 2. In group 2, preoperative lOP was 13.2＋2.9 mm Hg, and postoperative lOP at 1 and 6mo were 10.5＋3.0 and 10.7＋2.8 mm Hg, respectively. In group 1, preoperative lOP was 12.42.8 mm Hg, and postoperative lOP at 1 and 6mo were 11.6＋2.5 and 12.0＋2.8 mm Hg, respectively. After cataract surgery, angle parameters changed significantly while IOP significantly reduced and was maintained in group 2 （P〈0.001）. The changes in angle parameters （＆AOD500, ATISAS00 at temporal; ＆AOD500, S, RA500 at nasal） were linearly correlated with postoperative IOP changes. CONCLUSION： Cataract surgery may have improved antedor chamber angle parameters and decreased lOP in NTG patients.

Host-associated probiotics(HAPs)are bacteria originally isolated from rearing water or the host's gastrointestinal tract in order to enhance the host's growth and *** study investigated the HAP potential of Bacillus ***8313,isolated from wild red sea bream(Pagrus major),through characterization and feeding *** based on in vitro tests showed that PM8313 is safe,confirming its hemolytic,cytotoxic,and antibiotic *** addition,PM8313 showed advantages as a probiotic with high viability in the gastrointestinal model and a high cell adhesion ***-genome sequencing demonstrated that PM8313 has a 4,615,871 bp single circular chromosome and a guaninecytosine content of 45.25%.It also showed the absence of genes encoding virulence factors,such as cytotoxin,enterotoxin,hemolysin,sphingomyelinase,and *** the feeding trial,a supplemental diet of 1×10^(8)CFU/g PM8313 positively altered the weight gain,digestive enzyme activity,and intestinal microbiota composition of red sea *** of nonspecific immune parameters and immune-related gene expression,and a challenge test showed that PM8313 supplementation increases immunity and pathogenic bacteria *** findings suggest that PM8313 should be considered for application as a novel HAP to red sea bream aquaculture.

Microstructure characteristics and effect of grain orientation on magnetic properties of Fe_(63)Co_(32)Gd_5 alloy ribbons

By using the melt spinning techniques, the Fe63Co32Gd5 alloy ribbons with 15-50 m in thickness and 3-7 mm in width were prepared at the wheel speeds of 15, 20, 25 and 35 m/s. The rapid solidification microstructures were characterized by three layers, the middle layer of which reaches 80% thickness and forms the column grain of(Fe,Co) solid with Gd solution. Grain refinement takes place with the increase of the wheel speed. And after 0.5 h heat treatment at 823 K, the ribbon thickness becomes larger and the middle layer of column grain is very orderly perpendicular to the ribbon plane. The coercivity of quenched and annealed Fe63Co32Gd5 ribbons both have the inflection point at the wheel speed of 20 m/s, and the tendency is declining. The heat treatment processing makes the coercivity become lower by improving the order of(Fe,Co)17Gd2 compound. The saturation magnetization of quenched ribbons increases with the enhancement of wheel speed, whereas that of annealed ones decreases firstly and then increases. The minimum coercivity is 5.30×103 A/m and the maximum saturation magnetization is 163.62 A·m2/kg, which is obtained in the conditions of the wheel speed of 35 m/s and 0.5 h heat treatment at the temperature of 823 K.
